Description
Ahn Jinhee and Son Dongwoon were once the best of friends growing up.
But then they entered high school -- both having worked hard to get into the same high school, and suddenly he stops all contact with her.
She was hurt, but accepted it, as he had gotten more popular and figured it was a growing apart thing, even if it was so sudden.
She's smart and loves bugs, is the president of the Small Critters Club, and is pretty normal aside from that.
But she is filthy rich, though that's not a big deal for her as she doesn't think about money much.
He hates bugs, and doesn't like schoolwork, pretty normal aside from being really goodlooking and popular in school.
His family used to barely scrape by until his father finally became a university professor, but still money isn't something he takes lightly.
The only people that talk to her, or want to talk to her, are her club members.
Everyone wants to talk to him.
This is the story of how they finally reunite.
Foreword
There was a quiet girl in the front of the classroom, sitting quietly by herself as she completed the assignment they were all supposed to be doing. She went in front of class before it was time for the teacher to come back.
“C A B C C D….” She announced her answers quickly as everyone rushed to copy it down. This included the two guys in the back.
The two guys in the back were much different than the girl in the front. While the quiet girl in the front was short and kind of grubby looking, these two guys were tall and good looking. Neither of the two guys were any good, nor interested, at school work.
“Thanks,” Some of the girl’s classmates smiled gratefully at the girl, though most still ignored her. The quiet girl sat back down and opened her book to read quietly by herself.
“You know…. I kind of feel bad for her,” One of the guys sighed, ignoring the giggling girls to his right.
“Hmm?” The other guy turns to him in surprise. He, himself, was staring at the girl intently and wasn’t expecting his friend to be saying anything at that moment.
“Her. She gives everyone her answers whenever there’s an opportunity, but she has no friends. I don’t even know her name…”
“It’s Ahn Jinhee,” The other guy said quietly. “She probably doesn’t care if she has friends or not. She likes bugs more than she likes most people.”
“How do you know that?”
“We’ve known each other since we were kids. My aunt used to work in her house and she would take me and my cousin to come to work with her.”
“Junhyung knows her too?”
“Yeah. But they were never very close, just polite to each other.”
“How come I’ve never seen you guys talk to her? We’ve been in this high school for two years and in the same class, you never even greet her in the morning.”
“I don’t know. We grew apart I guess.” The guy shrugged and laid his head down, yawning. He knew it wasn’t because they grew apart, but it was a reason he really couldn’t talk about.
