Description
In the span of five years, a lot of things have changed for us, too many to count. For the better and for the worse.
I now have trust issues: I’m afraid of being let down by the people I care about, so I end up shutting the world out because I’d rather be alone than get hurt.
The guy I just met fears failure: The failure to protect the people he loves more than anything and because of that, he ends up being too harsh on himself.
My old friend struggles to live in the present as she can’t seem to overcome or accept the truth about her past.
Someone whom I have an unspoken bond with has made decisions that he has begun to regret over the years and is forced to watch the one that he loves slowly lose herself to a sickness that she may or may never be cured of.
My best friend fears abandonment, as the people who were supposed to stay by her side turned their back on her when she needed them the most. Being left behind isn’t an option for her, so she pushes people away so that she won’t have to be pushed away and be faced with the same pain once again.
Someone whom I once knew better than anyone, lost himself to a depression so deep it damn well nearly killed him. He as well, is another who can’t let go of the past and feels that he doesn’t deserve forgiveness when in truth, he wasn’t at fault to begin with.
The six of us... inevitably, though we try so hard to avoid the unnecessary pain, still seem to find our ways into each others' lives. Fate has left it up to us, to heal each others' wounds and mend our own broken hearts.
