it was almost 3 pm when Donghae woke up, with a massive headache of course. His body hurt all over. He bit his lip to prevent a groan escaping at the sudden pain he felt on his arm and thigh soon as he moved his body. He wanted to get up but he couldn't find a tiny strength to do so. So he laid still while his eyes sweep the entire room. He started to remember where he was and what happened not so long ago. His heart jolted as he remember Hyukjae.

Lee Hyukjae...

He remembered being in his arm last night. Was it just a dream? He remembered kissing him last night. They were making love and everything was so vivid in his mind and suddenly he was afraid. Afraid that if he turned around and found an empty place beside him. Afraid that those were only in his dream. Afraid that Hyukjae was gone.

Donghae closed his eyes and inhaled deeply. He turned his head to the side nervously and slowly open his eyes, bracing himself.

And he saw him ..

Standing by the window, looking outside, crossing his hands infront of his chest. His face was all composed and calm as his dark eyes observing. Donghae smiled lightly. It's been years since the last time he saw that strong and devine jawline. Everything still look the same. He looked exactly like how he remember him years ago, as if he never grow old. Maybe he should believe the fact that vampires never grow old, and he should believe that Hyukjae is a vampire now.

Donghae closed his eyes and exhaled. His mind messed up. Yes, Hyukjae is a vampire now. But he loved him. That would never change. He just got to find away to make whatever this new relationship worked out. Deep down Donghae still could feel that the Hyukjae that once loved him is still exsist. He just got to be patient and made him remember. But how?

"Hae.."

Donghae's eyes fluttered open. A smile painted from his lips as he saw Hyukjae walked toward him. He looked stunning. Perfect chest and abs were all Donghae noticed as he was getting closer. A towel lazily wrapped around his waist. He was as perfect as a painting. Simply gorgeous.

"You ok?"

That soft voice sounded so right. Those pair of almond eyes that staring at him felt so right. Hyukjae came and laid next to him, and it just felt so right and Donghae couldn't help but bit his lips and just staring at his handsome face. 

"You slept like a baby." Hyukjae said, reaching out his hand to touch Donghae's pale cheek. "I never seen someone so adorable in his sleep."

"Tell me, am I still sleeping?"

Hyukjae frowned, not getting what Donghae was talking about.

"I'm dreaming, right? This is a dream.." Donghae said with a low voice. "You're here. I've found you after all these years. It's just to good to be true."

"You're not dreaming." Hyukjae answered. "You've found me."

Donghae shifted his body to the side and winced at the pain. He groaned a little bit and had to bit his own lips to calm himself down.

"Your bruises really nasty." Hyukjae said, rubbing his fingers to the purplish skin gently. "I've pushed you too hard. I'm so sorry."

"These are nothing, really." Donghae said. "I don't mind being stab by a thousand daggers if the reward is going to be this great, having you by my side again."

A smile slipped from his plump lips. Carefully he leaned in to give Donghae a couple of pecks on his lips. He was going to withdraw when Donghae suddenly open his lips and something wet brushing his lower lip. Donghae wanted more than just a peck and Hyukjae just couldn't refuse such request. Slowly he pulled the younger's head toward him to deepen the kiss. Their tongues battling gently, making their lips moisten. 

Donghae's heart beat frantically and Hyukjae could hear it so clear. It was beautiful to his ears. He listen to it attentively until he was unaware that Donghae's lips were no longer on his. Hyukjae opened his eyes only to see him planting soft yet eager kisses along his jawline and down to his neck. He tilted his head back to give Donghae better access and when the younger's tongue softly the base of his neck he couldn't help but moaned Donghae's name.

"Hae, don't.." Hyukjae unconsciously mumbled, but regret it soon as Donghae stopped and pulled away.

He looked at the younger who looked confused and lost and before that confusion could turn into disappointment he leaned down and peck his lips.

"As much as I want to have you right now, we should be going back before it gets dark. " Hyukjae said softly, Donghae's cheeks. "We need to take care of your injury, ok?"

Donghae took Hyukjae's hand from his cheek and kiss it before nodded.

"I'm .. I'm sorry. "Donghae said faintly. "I just miss you."

"I can tell." Hyukjae smiled. "That frantic heart of yours surely doesn't lie."

"Gosh.. you hear it?" Donghae blushed.

Hyukjae grinned as his fingers caressing the younger's bare shoulder. 

"It's nice to hear it." Hyukjae said. "I mean, I hear hearts beats everyday. But never heard one that actually beats for me."

Donghae slowly snuggle into Hyukjae's embrace, leaning his head against Hyukjae's chest. Donghae closed his eyes as he tried to listen to his heart beats. But soon enough he realized that the other man's heart was not beating. He couldn't hear anything even though the silent between them was so thick.

"You can't feel it, can you? You don't hear it."

"Your heart.." Donghae swallowed his saliva quietly. "You.. you don't have one?"

"I do. It just ... " Hyukjae said, hesitant to continue, afraid of what Donghae would react. But then he realized that Donghae need to know the whole truth about him, about what he really is.

"It just.. doesn't beat."

Donghae swallowed his saliva again. There was no heartbeat. No matter how hard Donghae tried to find it, it was never there and it left him out of word. He just stared at Hyukjae's chest, pressing his hand against it a little bit deeper.

"I know you love to snuggle closer to Hyukjae and just stay still, listening to his heartbeat until you fell asleep. And he would cuddle you like a little baby, comforting you, like this.."

Donghae closed his eyes as Hyukjae pulled him closer.

"I miss this." Donghae said. "Being in your arm."

"Are you not missing the heartbeats?"

"Hyukjae, please ..."

"You know what I am." Hyukjae said. "Aren't you scare?"

"Can we not talk about this right now? Let me just have this moment. Let me just hold you."Donghae pleaded, tilting his head so his eyes locked at Hyukjae's orbs. "Because I really do miss you. I don't wanna think about what you are. I'm tired. I really am exhausted. And even if you're not Hyukjae let me just hold you and make believe that you are Hyukjae. You can call me pathetic I don't really care anymore. I'm
