I walked onto the stage early and witnessed the most beautiful sight I had ever seen. It literally took my breath away.

There Taka sat ten feet away from me at the piano. The spotlight was on him and he was singing. I watched in fascination as his fingers danced across the keys so elegantly. He looked just like an angel from where I was standing. His face was glowing and his eyes never left the empty rows of chairs.

I quietly walked closer to him and made sure that I didn’t interrupt him. He was singing All Mine. I continued to watch him in complete silence. This is what I wanted to see always, and I never tired of it.

He stopped singing and clutched his microphone before releasing it. He bowed his head before looking back up at the empty seats. Suddenly he glanced in my direction and smiled at me. I smiled back and went to sit down beside him.

“How long were you standing there?” Taka asked in a surprised voice.

“Long enough.” I said as I nudged his leg with my leg.

He giggled and snuggled up into my arms.

“This might sound really cheesy, but I don’t care. Seeing you like this just makes me fall even more in love with you. Just the way you look right now is so breathtaking. You look like an angel and I’m so in love with you, my angel.” I whispered softly into his ear.

Taka just turned to look me in the eyes. In his eyes I saw so much love and wonder. I gently grabbed his chin and lightly pressed my lips to his. My eyes closed on instinct now as our fingers intertwined. There was so much love and emotion behind this kiss. It was something I had never felt before. This kiss was slow and gentle. It felt like a real kiss shared between two people that were in love. I never wanted this moment and this feeling to end.

My eyes opened as I pulled away from the kiss slowly. Taka just stared at me without saying a word. I pressed my forehead against his and stared back at him.

“I’m in love you my angel.” I said quietly.

Taka smiled and I watched as he said, “I’m in love with you too.”

We sat there staring into each other’s eyes for what seemed like forever. I caressed Taka’s face and watched as he closed his eyes and leaned into my gentle touch. My thumb traced the outline of his lips and a sigh of happiness escaped his lips.

“Will you sing to me my angel?” I asked.

Taka opened his eyes and flashed me a quick smile before he nodded.

I scooted down the bench a little to give him some room to play. I smiled and nodded at him urging him to go on.

He let out a low sigh and closed his eyes before he opened them again and I watched once again as his fingers glided across the keys.

All my problems they will run away

 All the angels sit and stare at you

I watched as Taka got lost in his own little world. He closed his eyes for a second before he opened them again. It felt like I wasn’t even in the room with him. He was the image of pure perfection right now.

 I’m so down and out

‘Cause something is wrong without you

 When you’re not around

 Just shadows and rain fall

 Wait till tomorrow

 I’ll wait

Taka slowly started swaying with the music. Seeing him like this just made me keep falling in love with him.

Just want to be with you

 It’s true

 Amazed by you

 I think I’m falling

All my worries they just sleep in late

 Lying next to you

 But I fall to pieces and crumble away

 Today nothing works

 I’m so down and out

He turned to me and smiled at me lovingly. At this moment all I could do was nod at him.

 Just wanna be with you

 I know I’m falling

Even after he stopped playing he sat there quietly smiling at me. I reached for his hands and kissed both of them. Taka turned away from me and stared out into the distance.

“What’s wrong?” I asked.

Taka still stared out into space before he finally spoke, “nothing. I just wonder if it’s even possible to be this happy and this in love with someone. I’m dedicating this song to you.”

I pulled Taka into a loving embrace and whispered words of love into his ear. This love that we both shared, I never wanted it to end.

“I love you my angel.” I whispered.

With our fingers now intertwined we both looked out into the rows of empty seats with smiles on our faces, and love in our hearts.
