Out of the Closet

The Going Home Club

Luhan has spent roughly one hour, 47 minutes and, and 25 seconds inside the University’s old broom closet. He was so bored right now that he had no other choice but to count the time to have at least the satisfaction of doing something other than counting the hairs on the brooms, or scrolling through his already read text messages.

It wasn’t actually that bad in there. It had decent ventilation, not great mind you, but decent enough to let you breathe, enough space, and makeshift furniture composed of storage boxes. It was actually comfortable, if you weren’t claustrophobic, or has a hate towards musky and unknown smells, . .and possibly unknown creatures aswell. Since it was hella dark in there ever since the light switch was replaced by a jammed in pen by some lunatic student, Luhan never quite knew if he was exactly alone in the closet. But hey. .ignorance is friggin bliss.

The only light was the faint slivers seeping in from the outside.

Oh. .the outside world.

But  anyways, probably the thing that you are asking right now is WHY? Why the is Luhan inside a freakin’ dark and dank broom closet? Why is a respectable honor student crouching around with a bunch of expired cleaning supplies?

Nope, he was not locked in accidentally, he was too smart for that, and no, bullies did not lock him in, he was too cool for that.

But apparently he wasn’t too cool for hiding in a broom closet intentionally.

Yes, he was hiding. Hiding from those annoying Student Council members who keep looking for club-ditchers. He really can’t believe that Kyungsoo is one of those ers now. Having him on the council patrol team would put Luhan in jeopardy, given Kyungsoo’s abnormal eyesight. Kyungsoo can see everything. Like everything. From the tiniest speck of dust in the table to the tiniest finger print on his cake. Those eyes,. .those huge- eyes. Good thing he didn’t tell Kyungsoo about his hiding spot.

Well, anyways, he’s ditching the club meeting because first: he heard that they were playing that ‘Harry Potter visits a Volcano’ thing, and the hipster in him is proud to say that he hasn’t seen or read a single Harry Potter movie or book. ( me right?) Now, you might think that Luhan’s been living under a rock, and think ‘what the hell, he missed 99.9 percent of his childhood’.

Actually, all of the club’s members are practically forcing him into watching the series. Xiumin secretly downloaded all the eight movies into his laptop, on which Luhan just freaked when he found out because in order to do so, Xiumin had to delete Luhan’s Counter Strike game to have enough memory.

Suho insistently kept narrating the story, and Chanyeol and Baekhyun even resorted to tying Luhan in a chair and forcing him to watch the movies.

But No, they did not get to Luhan. There were times when Luhan was tempted to watch. But he held his friggin ground. Well, the main reason why he keeps refusing to watch it is because of his stubbornness.

The more people tell him what to do, the more he tries to resist doing them. Even if it’s reaaaaal impractical and unnecessary.

Oh and the fact that he hasn’t got a clue about the Harry Potter series can be a potentially good ice-breaker topic in cocktail parties, that he will probably attend in the future.

Luhan checked his watch, not that he needed to since he’s been counting the time. About five minutes from now that darn game should have probably finished.

But Luhan has another obstacle to overcome, a hurdle that is actually making him contemplate on staying inside the cursed closet until the club-meetings are over.

It’s that damn new club member. What was the little punk’s name again? Jihoon? Minjoon. .or was it something with an S? He doesn’t really care, so he decided to stop exerting effort into remembering the name of a person he dislikes.

For now he’ll just call that guy Nancy.

Luhan still can’t believe that Nancy would dare call him a kid! Like come on! Luhan was tall.. and. .er yeah. Tall. He wasn’t muscly or particularly manly looking he admits, but yeah He’s tall! . .AND he has the friggin’ third year pin on his chest. If only Nancy had the decency to look at his chest!

Ok. .that’s sounded a bit weird.

Aside from that, he also felt something weird every time he lays his eyes on Sehun. .*cough, . he means Nancy.

Luhan really doesn’t believe in love at first sight, but he guesses that Hate at first sight is quite the possibility.

Luhan doesn’t know why, but that freshman doesn’t sit well with his nerves.

He looked at his watch again, maybe he should just skip the meeting and just remain here. .but then, something struck Luhan. Why the hell should he compromise for that little twerp? Nancy should be avoiding him, rather than the other way around.

His sense of pride persuaded him to get the hell out of this closet. He d to find the doorknob, but before he could lay his hands on it, the closet opened on it’s own accord and a hand came darting towards him.

What the ??

~0~

Kris was depressed and angry and embarrassed. Because again, the girl didn’t ask for a second date. Yesterday, he had on his best suit, best cologne and even bought that new toner. Probably the only flaw on him was the fact that Suho disgruntled his hair, and Kris couldn’t quite get his hair to poof up again the way he wanted it to.

Aside from that, Kris turned up his suave and smoothness to the maximum level. He told jokes, interesting stories, he even managed to insert a few of his impressive accomplishments seamlessly into their conversation. He even resorted to throwing fake compliments. Like ‘No, it doesn’t make you look fat,’ and ‘Yes, you are the most beautiful in the room,’ and ‘Oh. .I didn’t even notice the pimple right in middle of your forehead’.

So WHYY? Why?. .

Was he ugly?

Probably not. Or, .definitely not, since well, Kris knows he’s hot as .

Was he a douche?

Nah, .Kai’s more of a douche than he’ll ever be,  and he Kai gets dates, even girlfriends.

Was it the less than perfectly poofed up hair?

Hmm. .Maybe. .damn you Suho.

He gave out a sigh as he alphabetized the mock blueprints his classmates passed. He was unfortunately assigned today to collect them. He was now the only one in their engineering classroom, mumbling probably like an idiot while arranging the stack of paper. Even Yixing already dazedly left the room a few minutes ago, apparently just waking from his usual class nap.

But probably the thing that kept him on edge was the fact that he had another conversation(if it is even considered a conversation) with Tao, and again he stuttered like a ‘tard. Kris really doesn’t know why he’s like that whenever he sees/ speaks/ stands next to Tao. Maybe Tao makes him uncomfortable? Ok, uncomfortable is an understatement. Is it the weird stare? Was it something else? He really can’t put a finger on it.

But whenever Tao comes near him he gets all twitchy and awkward and his heart races nervously.

Maybe it’s his eyes. .

“Whoops” he mutters, apparently, he was too preoccupied with his thoughts that he slightly gripped on a blueprint too hard, crumpling it a bit.

“Sorry er. .” he looked at the name on the back. “Woa it’s from Yixing?”

Hm. .so he actually passes stuff.

Wait, . .

Why the hell is this a drawing of a unicorn?

On second thought, Kris would rather not know, but he wonders just how Yixing managed to get to his second year in college.

Anyways, he’s glad that he’s now in his t-shirt and jeans and not in that stuffy suit so now he can finally raise his arms to more than a 90 degree angles. He laid out all the arranged stack of paper on the teacher’s table and put a nearby paper-weight on top.

Now that that’s done, he can now go to the club meeting. Not that he’s particularly excited or anything, but the club members actually help put out some of his steam whenever he has a foul mood. In short, Kris just loves taking out his temper at them. He was sure that they were the ones who egged Tao to talk to him. Particularly Chen.

That little. .

He entered their club room and was momentarily surprised by how their room looked. But what could he expect? the club members were like loose stampeding cows.

Judging by the upturned chairs, and random pieces of on the floor, Kris deduced that they just played that Harry Potter game. The only thing that was in it’s place was Yixing on the couch.

Chen was half-way done at drawing a side-burn on Yixing.

But still, just for a dramatic entrance, he decided to pretend not to know and ask anyway.

“What the happened?” Kris called out.

There was a slight pause.

“Uh. .hi Kris.” Chen uncertainly greeted as he pulled away from Yixing’s vandalled face.

Kris flashed his infamous face and turned back to Chen. “Don’t you ‘Hi Kris’ me! I’m asking you what the hell happened?”

He wasn’t really angry, but he just wanted to get back at Chen. He actually wanted to laugh when he saw Chen’s lightning scarred forehead. It was slightly red, probably due to the fact that he tried to get it off but failed.

Oh Chen. .

The members fiddled for a bit before he saw Kai nudge Suho.

“W-we were actually playing the ‘Harry Potter visits a volcano’ game.”

Kris rolled his eyes. “Not that stupid game again!”

An audible gasp filled the room.

“Stupid?” Suho put a hand over his mouth and whispered incredulously. “Stupid?”

Okay, Kris actually found the game fun, but they don’t need to know that.

“That’s blasphemy!!” Suho said, his voice hurt. He pointed an accusing finger at Kris. “Oh, don’t you go all Luhan on me Kris! Take that back!”

Kris smirked. “No.”

Suho’s lower lip quivered, and he almost felt bad. .almost.

“Anyways, clean these up” Kris said, motioning towards the mess. “I just paid for the coffee table.”

“No you didn’t” Kai mumbled.

“Yeah, you won it on a bet.” Baekhyun added.

“Fine, I paid for the couch then.” Kris pointed out.

Xiumin coughed. “You *cough won it *cough in a raffle.”

Kris’ eye twitched. Aside from his love-life he apparently was one lucky dude.

“That vase is probably from me.” Kris pointed to a vase on the floor.

”Do you know how much that cost??”

“Uh. .That’s actually mine.” Chanyeol timidly said, his deep voice  even lower.

Oh . .they got me.

Kris just touched the bridge of his nose, pretending to look annoyed.

“Whatever, just clean this room.”

~0~

After their so-called game, Sehun was just about ready to take Yixing’s example and drop-dead on another piece of furniture.

But suddenly, Kris came into the room and gave a sermon regarding how he apparently ‘paid’ for most things in the room.

So yeah, now they had to clean, while Kris just sat in a chair ‘supervising’, giving out an aura that just screamed ‘alpha male’ and ‘ please, you can’t tell me what to do’. Sehun couldn’t believe that Kris was the same, panicked guy from yesterday.

Sehun looked at the veeeryy messy room and inwardly groaned, this is gonna be a long night.

He looked again at the sleeping Yixing and got jealous.

“Hey. .what about Yixing? Doesn’t he have to clean to?” he asked Chanyeol, who was busy dusting off his vase.

“Nah, disrupting a sleeping Yixing disrupts the delicate balance of this club’s ecosystem.”

Sehun slowly edged away from Chanyeol.

What the ?

“Hey Sehun!” Chen called out, coming towards him. Sehun raised his eyebrows in recognition.

“Can you get a broom from the closet near the speech lab?” he asked.

Chanyeol furrowed his brows a bit. “huh? But that closet’s supplies are probably expired now right?”

Chen glared at Chanyeol, and looked at him meaningfully.

Chanyeol’s expression of confusion slowly turned into one of realization.

“Oh yeah! Right, they just refurbished that closet a few days ago.” He quickly said. A little too quickly.

Chen nodded.

Sehun couldn’t help but narrow his eyes. He really didn’t trust these two.

Chen patted Sehun’s shoulder. “So, can you get it buddy?”

“Uh. .okay.” Sehun uncertainly said.

He was just about to get out of the door when Chen added. “Hey, just don’t turn on the lights of that closet, it’s kind of broken.”

Sehun nodded.

Bute when he was on the other side of the door he gulped. It was about 6:30 in the evening now, and most of the clubs were already done with their meeting.

Stupid Kris. .making them clean this late at night, okay, it wasn’t that late, but if it weren’t for him, they would’ve probably gone home by now. In huge contrast with the club room, the rest of the school was eerily quiet and poorly lit. Sehun crept around the school corridors, flinching at every sound he heard.

Sehun didn’t consider himself a coward, but he grudgingly admits that he’s kind of afraid of. . the dark. He just hated himself for having such a lame and wussy fear. Why couldn’t it have been a fear of mass murderers, or ninjas or. .or clowns? All the aforementioned fears were, in Sehun’s perspective more understandable and more manly than the fear of the dark. He found the fear of clowns particularly manly.

His heart lifted a bit when he finally made his way to the broom closet Chen told him about. Being informed that the closet’s lights were broken, he just ed his hand blindly into the closet.

He practically stopped breathing when his hands closed in on something soft and squishy. .and wet.

What the kk???

He felt a sharp pain on his fingers as the thing bit him. He gave out a pretty unmanly shriek as he stumbled inside the closet and accidentally closed it.

There was complete darkness and he kept hitting things. Screams echoed inside the broom closet (highly likely his own). Boxes tumbled down as he kept flailing his arms in hopes of hitting the thing that bit him.

Something hit him hard in the stomach and cast out all the air in his lungs, making him fall on his knees in shallow breaths.

“You done now?” an annoyed voice said.

Sehun immediately got a grip of him self and d around in the dark closet, looking for a corner to hide in.

“What’s that?” Sehun said nervously, trying to find something like a weapon near him. He managed to grab something cylindrical, probably a broom handle or something.

“What do you think?” the voice replied, his tone was less annoyed and more amused.

“I . .I don’t know th-that’s why I’m asking.” Sehun said in a horrified voice, fingers firmly clasping the broom handle. Despite the dark obscuring anything from his vision anyway, he still kept his eyes clammed shut.

There was a slight pause, and a snigger.

“It’s Luhan you numbskull.”

Sehun immediately opened his eyes, squinting to help them get used to the dark.

“R-really?” Sehun said shakily.

“Nope, . .it’s actually a ghost.”

Sehun’s breathe hitched.

A floating blue head sinisterly showed itself to Sehun and he immediately started screaming again, brandishing the broomstick, or whatever it was all over the place, knocking some of the boxes down.

He was slapped on the back of the head.

“Dude! Don’t you understand sarcasm?” the voice said. “It’s just my freakin’ phone light.”  He said, taking his phone away from under his face and waving it, illuminating random cleaning products in the closet.

Sehun looked at him properly. It really was Luhan.

And he felt heat immediately rush to to his face. He probably seemed so lame.

Luhan kept his phone’s light on, their only source of light.

Sehun could faintly see Luhan roll his eyes, “I didn’t know that a guy who had the balls to call me a kid could be such a wuss.” A hint of dislike clear in his voice.

Sehun couldn’t help but turn a deeper shade of red, good thing this room was dark so that it obscured his face from Luhan, . .no actually no. not Good. Darkness is not and never will be good for Sehun.

“I. .uh.-“ Sehun started, trying to explain his honest mistake during his first day, but he was cut off by Luhan who was by the door knob.

“Oh .” Luhan muttered under his breath.

Sehun looked at him.

“Huh?”

Luhan gave the door knob an unfruitful twist and a couple of jerks. A feeling of dread quickly overcame Sehun.

He immediately lunged towards the door, slightly startling Luhan and started yanking the knob so hard it might’ve detached itself from the door. He banged on the door crying pleas of help.

“We can’t be locked in! WE CAN’T!!” He screeched, not really caring about being called a wuss again.

Luhan just blinked and stared, slightly wierded out and more than slightly annoyed at Sehun’s mini panic attack.

“Uh. .we kinda already are.” Luhan deadpanned.

Sehun kept tirelessly banging the door, until Luhan had enough of Sehun’s loudness. It was making him more annoyed of him than he already is. He grabbed Sehun’s shoulder and forcibly made him sit down on the floor with a thunk, causing Sehun to feel searing pain in his .

“Get a grip! Stop being so lou-” Luhan scolded, but stopped midway to apologize to Sehun, who apparently fell pretty hard. “Uh sorry about that.”

Sehun, rolling on his sides to avoid putting pressure on his afflicted area, groaned in pain.

Luhan felt half-sorry, half-amused and couldn’t help but give out a chuckle.

“Sorry for. .pfftt. .being a pain in the .” Luhan said, clearly enjoying his lame pun.

Sehun glared at him for a bit and grunted, still on his sides. “Totally not funny right now dude.”

Luhan looked at him for a moment, the joy of seeing Sehun in pain was being drowned by the distressing reality that they were still locked inside a broom closet.

“This is all your fault. .” Luhan sighed, getting the silent urge to inflict Sehun more pain. Sehun looked at him incredulously, he was the one on the floor in pain right now.

“If you just didn’t come here started going wild, we probably wouldn’t be here. You probably kicked the door too hard, and caused the lock to break.”

Sehun had to admit, Luhan was partly right, but for some reason, instead of fear, a feeling of dislike towards Luhan started bubbling inside him. Maybe it’s the because of the way Luhan speaks to him, or how he shows his dislike towards Sehun so blatantly, or because Luhan had punched him in the gut, slapped his head, and injured his in the duration of 10 minutes that they were together. So no way was he going to admit it.

“Well, it’s not my fault I got startled by something that bit my hand in a broom closet.” Sehun retaliated, his usually meek voice, actually showing signs of defiance. “What are you doing in a freakin’ broom closet anyway?”

Luhan for a while, was at a loss of words. “What are you doing here?” he returned the question.

“I was going to get a broom to clean the clubroom after that weird (yet strangely enthralling) Harry Potter game. Chen told me to go to this one” Sehun said simply.

Luhan immediately knew what was going on, Chen knew that he went here whenever he was ditching club meetings.

you Chen. . you.

Luhan panicked for a bit at hearing Sehun’s totally normal answer, his reason for being here was totally not normal, and was borderline creepy he had to admit, so he had to of course: lie.

“Uh. .I just er. .I’m on organizing duty.” He answered.

“Wha?”

“Organizing duty” Luhan repeated, as if talking to a five-year old. “You know. .it’s organizing duty.”

“No actually I don’t know.”

“It’s when we students are unfortunately assigned by the teachers to. .uh organize the cleaning supplies.”

Sehun looked at him blankly.

.

Luhan’s mental hand collided with his face with a reverberating smack. That just had to be the worst excuse in the history of excuses. Even Morgan Freeman’s voice couldn’t make Luhan’s excuse believable.

“They make students do that? What kind of school is this place?” Sehun said with a grimace. “Totally weird.”

No Sehun, you’re totally weird. Luhan couldn’t believe that Sehun bought that crap. He looked down at Sehun.

“Why are you still on the floor?” Luhan asked.

“Um. .probably because I just like the feeling of cold, dirty broom closet floor  touch my skin.” It was Sehun’s turn to be sarcastic. Apparently his still hurt.

“Hm. .that’s nice.” Luhan said apathetically.

Sehun was right about to start yelling at Luhan for his plain lack of concern despite him being in pain his fault and start telling him that ‘yeah. You ARE, in fact, a pain in the , Luhan, and I don’t really care if your two years older than me, or the fact that we just met’, but before he could even take a breathe to say it, there was a shuffling noise somewhere on his side of the closet.

He immediately yelped and immediately yanked Luhan’s arm. . . he realized that he probably can’t tell Luhan his hate-monologue after blatantly clinging on to him. Luhan stared at him in a mix of surprise and look of ‘why the are you holding my arm?’.

Sehun awkwardly laughed and let go. Slowly moving away from the source of the shuffling sound and in turn, moving closer to Luhan. Again, garnering from Luhan a look of ‘Why the are you moving closer to me?’

Sehun didn’t care to explain himself, instead, he just looked around the closet, his body tensed and aware. Whatever that noise was, he was going to be ready for it.

Another shuffling noise gathered another yelp from Sehun, and again, he entangled his arm in Luhan’s.

Luhan grimaced and tried, prying off Sehun’s stiff arm from his own, but he wouldn’t budge.

“Dude! It’s just a sound.” He looked incredulously at Sehun who was frantically looking all over the broom closet, his eyes wide and his jaw clenched shut. He kind of resembled an owl in panic.

Another shuffling sound issued a gasp from Sehun, holding Luhan’s arm tighter. Luhan pinched the bridge of his nose with his free hand and tried to calmly say:

“Sehun, I swear, if you don’t get your freakin arm off my arm I will break i—“

Luhan froze. He felt something land on his head with a soft thunk. He slowly turned his head to Sehun who was looking at his head with utmost fear.

“There’s a rat on my head. .isn’t there?” he softly asked. His voice low, and almost whimpering.

Sehun nodded, eyeing the rat and grabbing the handle of the broomstick. He slowly lifted it.

“Don’t move.” He said in a whisper.

Luhan eyed the broom, he knew that Sehun was clumsy enough to hit his head with it instead of the rat. “Don’t.” He said, despite his insides practically churning at the knowledge of having a rat on his head.

“Shhhh.” Sehun coaxed, his eyes bulging in utter concentration, like he was staring the rat down. He raised the broom, ready to take a swing at the rat (and Luhan’s head) when suddenly the rat all ninja-like leapt towards Sehun.

Sehun and Luhan immediately screamed, to Sehun’s silent relief, Luhan’s scream that was just as unmanly as his. Complete and utter chaos ensued afterwards. More boxes tumbled down as Luhan kept hitting his head repeatedly despite the rat being gone in the first place. Sehun kept hopping from one foot to another as if the floor was scalding hot in fear of the rat grazing by his feet (the rat actually did clamber through his right foot a few times), and waved the broom protectively around his form. They kept hitting the wall and each other just because of a creature the size of a ping pong ball.

When the rat finally managed to climb on to one of the elevated boxes, Luhan’s flailing arms knocked it back down and made it fall on Sehun’s shoulder.

Sehun dropped the broom and lunged himself to Luhan, making them both land on the floor.

They heard a click and a creak, and light streamed through the room. They turned towards the door and saw the surprised faces of the club members, minus Yixing.

Luhan looked at his and Sehun’s compromising position.

Oh

~0~

Chen was sweeping the floor (there was a spare broom in their club’s cupboard near the kitchen) in such distracted motions that he kept sweeping the dust he collected onto Baekhyun’s new pair of shoes, garnering a mini-tantrum from the fashionisto.

Baekhyun, finally having enough of it, paused from arranging the upturned chairs, straightened out his studded denim jacket and dusted off his shoes with his crisp black handkerchief with a smooth flick of his wrist and glared at Chen.

Chen stopped sweeping at realizing the death glare that was being given to him. He looked at Baekhyun slightly dusty shoes.

“You should really dust of your shoes Baekhyun, it’s totally unlike you.”

A noise of disbelief came out of Baekhyun’s lips as he grabbed the broom and sweeped dust all over Chen’s shoes. Not that Chen cared, cause he wasn’t really that observant when it came to clothes. But Baekhyun seemed to have been contented at ‘ruining’ Chen’s sneakers and resumed to doing his business.

Anyways, Chen was nervous and distracted because maybe. .just maybe. .his prank went a little too far. He knew that getting Sehun and Luhan alone together would have its hazards. But he didn’t think that Sehun would be gone this long. It’s been like twenty minutes. All sorts of situations went through Chen’s mind.

What if Luhan was reaaallyy reaaally angry at Sehun?

Even he didn’t know to what extent of evil Luhan gets when he’s angry.

Chen resumed his fruitless sweeping. Kris was observing Chen’s apparent lack of concentration and felt the need to scold him, because well, he just wanted to, and because he’s still pissed with Chen.

“Yah!” Kris called. “Chen, what the hell are you doing?” Kris said, still lounging on his chair and doing nothing while the others were cleaning like he was the ing king of the world.

Even Suho who was the president of the club was busy collecting the fallen office supplies on the carpet. But Kris just has this. .aura about him when he was pissed. The kind of aura that forces you, though grudgingly, to do things.

Kris’ voice snapped Chen out of his daze.

“I’m sweeping.” Chen replied like it was obvious. Kris eyed Chen’s surroundings, dust and paper clips scattered.

“U-huh. .” Kris trails, unconvinced, but resumes to his ‘supervising’ (aka spiting out random orders, except to Tao, because when it came to that guy, Kris even avoids eye contact).

Chen whispered to Kai, his back-up prank buddy whenever Luhan wasn’t around.

“Hey. .I think I did something bad.” He said, nudging Kai’s arm, which was busy cleaning up their glass coffee table.

Kai gave out an exasperated sigh. “What is it this time Chen? I swear if I have to clean up one more time because of you. .” he said, referring to what Chen did to Kris and Kris’ subsequent reaction by forcing them to clean up.

Chen knowingly raised his eyebrow.

“Come on, don’t tell me that it wasn’t worth it.”

Kai pondered for a moment and raised his head in thought, probably reminiscing what happened when Tao approached Kris and laughed.

“Yeah.. it was pretty damn funny.” Kris admitted.

“So anyways it’s about Sehun-“ but even before Chen could finish narrating what he did, Kai already announces it for him.

“Guys! Chen here says that he did something bad to Sehun.” He calls out, immediately getting the attention of the club members.

The others look around the club room and realize that their new recruit was nowhere to be found.

Chen steps on Kai’s foot, a sign that he’ll probably get back at him for throwing him under the bus.

Suho halts from his cleaning and looks ‘sternly’ at Chen. He puts a hand on his hip whilst the other one wags a finger at him.

“Chen, you didn’t create a fake ‘initiation requirement’ with him like what you did with Xiumin right? Because that didn’t . .uh. .exactly end well”

Xiumin immediately nodded and threw a look of shame at remembering the prank Chen pulled on him a year ago.

Chen sighed, deciding to ‘fess up. He waved his arms dismissively.

“Don’t be stupid, a real master never uses the same trick twice.” Chen says with a slightly proud puffing of his chest.

They stared at him, Baekhyun’s was particularly icy, Chen could tell that Baekhyun wouldn’t let him live down getting dust all over his shoes.

“Chen.” Suho urged. “What did you do?”

“Um. .I kind of. .uh. .led Sehun to go to the broom closet where Luhan hides whenever he ditches club meetings.” He rambled, feeling kind of guilty.

Horrified silence greeted him. Even Kris’ mouth was agape.

“Dude. .what have you done?. .” Baekhyun said, putting his palm over his mouth in shock.

Tao shook his head in disbelief.

“Are you trying to get Sehun killed?” said Kris, who was well-aware of how Luhan can be when he’s angry.

Suho went to Chen and started shaking him. “Chen! Have you not learned anything from the candy-cane incident??”

“I-I’m sorry, I didn’t know that he’d be gone this long.” He justified, trying to get an almost hysterical Suho off of him.  He then turned to a nervous looking Chanyeol. “I thought. .I thought it’d be funny.”

“Chanyeol helped!” Chen added.

They all looked at Chanyeol, who was nervously biting his thumbnail.

Baekhyun looked at him incredulously. “Chanyeol!” he gasped.

“I didn’t know what came over me!” Chanyeol threw his arms apologetically.

Suho stopped shaking Chen and looked at Xiumin.

“Xiumin? You know Luhan the best, what’s the hypothesis?”

Xiumin crossed his arms and furrowed his brows in thought (Chen subconsciously thought it was cute) and looked up at them.

“I believe that Sehun’s fine, just mildly or averagely injured. Luhan’s hate of him is nowhere near candy-cane choking level” He said with a straight face.

Suho nodded in relief. “Let’s go after them.”

“Maybe they’re. .you know, just getting it on.” Kai said thoughtfully, casually picking at his finger-nails.

Baekhyun rolled his eyes. “Kai, not everything is about you know.”

Kai shrugged. “I mean like come on, two guys, in a closet. Pretty basic material.”

Chen laughed while the rest of just gave Kai looks of disgust.

“Uh. .that’s just wrong Kai.” Baekhyun shivered, as he tried getting the awful visual out of his head.

“Anyways you watch gay ?” Kris looked scandalized. “But you have like seven different girlfriends a year.”

Kai just smirked. “Why? Want me to give you some good links?”

Kris grimaced and made gagging noises.

“Okaaaay! Let’s leave the discussion of Kai’s messed up ual orientation for another day.” Suho interrupted, not being able to take the weird topic.

“I don’t know what’s the big deal, all we have to do is get Luhan and Sehun to come out of the closet right?” Kai quipped.

He raised his eyebrows suggestively. “Get it? Get it? Out of the closet? Like figuratively get out of the closet?”

“Yes Kai, unfortunately we do get it.” Xiumin shook his head, heading out towards the door to get Sehun and Luhan. The rest of the club members followed suit.

Suho gave out an exasperated sigh. Chen actually found that joke quite funny.

“Kai just stop it.”  Kris said sternly.

“Well. .their not the only one who needs to get out of the closet.” Chen slyly added, shifting his eyes suggestively at Kris.

Muffled laughter erupted across the room.

“Haha good one.” Kai said, hi-fiving with Chen.

Kris scowled, completely lost. “I don’t get it.”

Suho patted his shoulder before he grabbed the doorknob. “That’s because you’re painfully oblivious Kris.”

Kris opened his mouth to speak, but everyone was already out of the room.

He couldn’t believe that Suho called him oblivious.

If Suho was calling him oblivious, then he obviously must’ve missed something big.

Suho and Kris were looking at each other, eyes wide, and not able to say anything.

“Don’t move” Sehun said from inside the closet. Voice low, in a tone that they couldn’t quite put their finger on.

They heard Luhan whimper, saying "Don't"

Their eyes got wider.

“Sssshh. .” they heard Sehun coax.

“What the are they doing?” Baekhyun said.

Kai laughed in a mix of surprise and triumph.

“Getting it on!. .hahaha. I can’t believe it.”

Kris, apparently the bravest of the bunch willed himself to open the door.

“It’s locked.”

His statement confirmed their suspicions.

Suddenly they heard the crashing of things, bumping of things and both Sehun’s and Luhan’s screams.

“They’re. .pretty wild.” Chen pointed out.

“Ugh. .gross.” Chanyeol added.

Suho covered Tao’s ears.

"Is this what you meant by Sehun getting 'mildly or averagely injured'?" Kai teasingly smirked at a very baffled Xiumin. Xiumin looked absolutely lost, his mouth opening and closing in an effort to say something coherent, but his surprise got the better or him.

“N-no. .Luhan, would. .never. .oh gosh.”

Chen nudged a still shaken Xiumin. “Hey, give me your I.D.”

Xiumin looked at him. “ I can’t believe that you could think about vandalization at a time like this.”

Chen rolled his eyes. “I’m not gonna doodle at it, I swear.”

“Then why don’t you use yours?”

“As if I brought my I.D.” Chen explained a matter-of-factly. “Yeah. .I’m bad- like that.”

Xiumin grudgingly stuffed his hand in his pocket, fished out his I.D, and tossed it to Chen, who immediately stuck it between the door and the doorframe, and slid it up and down in sporadic motions.

The lock gave way with a click. Everyone looked at the door. Chen tossed back Xiumin’s I.D. Who was impressed by Chen’s lock-picking skills, but not so impressed by his I.D’s newly bent and disheveled edges.

Chen held the door knob and opened it slightly, making the screams and crashing sounds louder. He looked at the others, waiting for a sign to continue.

Suho gulped and nodded.

Chen grimaced, closed his eyes and opened the door wide, expecting the worst.

Everyone gasped at the sight.

Sehun was on top of a very out of breath Luhan who was lying on the floor. Luhan was clutching Sehun’s shirt.

Sehun and Luhan snapped their head towards them, surprised.

All of them just stared at each other.

“Well, at least they had their clothes on.” Kai interjected, breaking the painfully awkward silence.

Luhan tilted his head in confusion, but then realization dawns.

“Oh ! It’s not what it looks like!” he immediately says as he pushes Sehun off of him. His face suddenly flushed and the tips of his ears a prominent color of a beet.

Due to Luhan’s push, he landed on his and yelped, signifying that he’s sore in that particular region. Which made them think that their speculation is correct and that. .that they. . really did do. .the *ehem deed.

They judgingly looked at him.

“Rigghhhttt.” Baekhyun says sarcastically. “and Kai’s a .”

“No honestly it’s not what it looks like.” Luhan says, almost screams desperately as he jumps to his feet.

Sehun gets up, looking visibly scared and shaken. He still seems oblivious to the other’s speculations on what transpired inside the closet.

He immediately runs out of the closet, falls to his knees and screams. “I’m free!”

“Yeah. .he’s free all right.” Kai sniggers. “So are you Luhan. .So are you.” he adds ‘therapeutically’, as he pats Luhan’s shoulders, trying to keep a straight face. “Everyone in the club supports you and your newly found uality.” he leant in a bit closer. "In fact, if you want tips on how to- ouch!"

Luhan couldn't bear hear the rest of Kai's statement and punched him in the nose.

Xiumin mumbles something along the lines of ‘I can’t believe it’ and ‘my best friend’s a e.’

“Really Luhan?. .in a closet? You could’ve done better” Kris looks at him judgingly.

“As if you’re an expert Kris.” Chen snipes.

“HONEST GUYS! LISTEN TO ME! We were locked in! and we couldn’t get out.” Luhan frantically explains.

They looked at him disbelievingly.

Tao points to Luhan’s phone, which lay forgotten on the closet door.

“You . .could’ve called us.”

Luhan’s eyes widened. He wanted to ing pull his hair off and slap himself silly. His PHONE! Why the heck didn’t he think of it? He had his phone all along!

“Tsk tsk tsk. .no need to lie Luhan.” Baekhyun says.

“SHUT UP!” Luhan screamed at the top of his lungs. “NOTHING HAPPENED!”

He glared at all of them, chest heaving up and down, as if challenging them to disagree.

Though slightly distressed by Luhan’s mini-outburst, Suho flashes him a good-natured smile and slings his arm around Luhan. “I’m a psychology major Luhan and I know that it’s hard. .admitting it and all. .but with proper counseling, which I am willing to give you, it will surely be easier to erm. .to deal with. Now, your in college, and college often helps you discover things about yourself. . .”

Luhan, feeling that whatever he would say would fall on to deaf ears, just buried his face in his palms and let himself be led back to the clubroom by a rambling Suho.

Oh. .how he hated his life, and Sehun, at the moment.

So yeah, hope you all liked the chapter, and if there are any psych majors reading this, what's the course like?
