The Incident, the Recovery, and the Mistake [HIATUS]

Description

I've been, basically, in love with Jessica for at least the moment I laid my eyes on her. Jessica of SNSD, of course. Actually, "of course" is a bit misplaced, since you don't know me very well.

Well, I'm Jay. And after a tough semester of college, I am definitely ready for home.

Hey guys, here with another story DX

sorry guys, in case you are subscribed to my other stories -- I guess I caught the "author's diseae"--the desire to write a story after having an idea you think you could work with, without finishing your other stories first.

This will actually be a straight pairing story though :o

Anyways, hope you enjoy!

PS, hope you can endure with me through the first and second chapters, as they contain important information.

But with the lack of SNSD and Jessica in the first two chapters, I can see why you'd quickly get bored by this story, so please bear with me ^^ thank you!

PSS, this is in an AU where Jessica is still part of SNSD. Also, Jessica is 24 at the beginning of the story

UPDATE 8/15/2019: can't say when I'll ever update this story. I don't currently have any plans to :c sorry to all who were looking forward to it :(

DISCLAIMER: This story is purely a work of fiction. I do not claim ownership of any of the members of SNSD and Jessica Jung.

Foreword

"--Jay!"

Suddenly, Jessica disappeared, along with the room I was in and the table between us.

"Jay!"

I grumbled and waved my hand at the source of sound. Whoever was disturbing my Jessica dream better regret it.

I closed my eyes in an attempt to somehow slip back into that dream. And it was such a good one, too.

"You can stop making out with your pillow now and get up. We're leaving--" I shot up. I was going home today!

"Thanks man," I said, stepping out of my bed. He, or Riley, my best friend and roommate, was grinning at me, suitcase in hand and backpack slung over his shoulders. "And I was not making out with my pillow," I added, even though it was probably true. As I said, it was a good dream.

"Suure. Keep saying that when you watch the video I have of you," he said, on the verge of laughing.

Now, I would have stopped everything and killed him, except I was in too much of a rush. It was 8:14, and I had a plane to catch.

I threw on my clothes and brushed my teeth at lightning speed; I probably broke a world record for how quickly my hand moved. Right as I began throwing clothes into my suitcase, Riley piped up. "Hey; Alice, Evan and I are going to wait for you outside. Don't forget to return the keys, alright?"

"Yeah," I replied, not really paying attention to him as I was too busy trying to shove all the necessary items into my suitcase and backpack, which was a bit problematic with the textbooks I was going to bring. But seriously, who assigns homework over break? Apparently, Mr. Miller does. And what textbook does he have? Only the frickin biggest thing known to man.

I heard the door shut.

Riley. Did he honestly--never mind.

After about four minutes, I had my suitcase in hand and backpack on my shoulder, running as fast as one could carrying around a suitcase and a huge backpack, to the elevator.

After reaching the main floor, I dropped the keys off and met up with my friends.

"Hey Jay!" Alice greeted me.

"Hey Alice," I replied, breathless. You'd think I'd be more in shape, being in track and all. Nope. "Sorry for the delay," I managed to get out.

"It's ok. We wouldn't ditch you like that," she told me.

I grinned at her. "Thanks," I said. She looked away for whatever reason. But before she did, I swear I saw her cheek turn red. It was the weather, probably. You'd expect California to be warm, being near the Pacific Ocean and all. Nope, it was cold as heck.

"Stop flirting and let's go already," Evan said, already walking away.

Sighing, I followed.

"Bye Jay!" I heard a chorus of girls from my right. I turned to see the twins and their friends waving at me.

"See ya after break!" I yelled back, smiling. They smiled back, chorusing back 'goodybye's and 'you too's.

"Quite the catch, I see," Riley said, wiggling his eyebrows.

I hit him on the shoulder. "Shut up," I told him, scoffing. He was forever teasing me about how I supposedly was a stud or something. I didn't really believe him.

Alice was walking to my left, silently looking at the ground. She seemed ... off. "Hey, what's wrong Alice?"

She snapped out of it and looked at me, surprised. "Oh, nothing," she replied, smiling reassuringly. "It's just that I'm going to miss this school," she said a second later, sighing.

I nodded. She was friends with basically everyone here, so of course, leaving would be like departing with a family for her.

We hailed a taxi for the airport, and before long (after much confusion and running), we were on the plane home.
