Drowned Whispers

Description

Yang Seungho is trying to find a killer, a killer who is responsible for the deaths of many innocent people, a killer who keeps eluding him without even meaning to, a killer who is right in front of him, yet just beyond his line of sight.

But there are a few things Seungho has to figure out first, because there’s a strange motive behind the pointless deaths, and something that he doesn’t understand is the force behind the murders and senseless killing, and although he doesn’t know it, there is a reason the killer ticks and does what he does.

And Seungho has to figure out what makes him kill, because that will be the only way to find out who is behind it all.

But this is a case of many criss-crossing threads, and there is only one will led him to the right answer.

Foreword

‘What was I trying to achieve?’

‘Was I trying to cure myself?’

‘Was I trying to fix everything up?’

There were a thousand jumbled thoughts running through his head, all with several different answers and outcomes.

The young man stared emptily at the limp body that he was holding, deep in thought.

“What am I doing?” he said softly to himself, suddenly feeling confused.

“Is this right?” he murmured softly to himself, his eyebrows creased.

He stared into the churning water below him, and suddenly everything came back into perspective, it all felt right again, and he felt reassured.

Yes, this was the right thing to do.

If he succeeded, everything would get better.

He’d be able to restart everything.

Or so he thought.

He walked over to the drop off of the cement flood gates, staring blankly down at the body he held, before looking out of the black looking water. It was late, and the time was right. He looked briefly down at the limp body again. Were they still alive? Did they still breathe?

He didn’t care. It didn’t matter to him. It was all going to a good cause, and if it didn’t work this time round, there was always next time, right?

He let go of the body, and watched, mesmerized as it fell, swearing to himself that it felt like slow motion. Maybe things slowed down for a moment, and he nodded to himself, satisfied as the body disappeared into the water below him, swallowed up by the darkness.

All the deaths weren’t really deaths. No life was being wasted. It was all just a small part in his great master plan; everything went towards a good cause. He just had to keep trying.

He smiled. A few sacrifices had to be made in order for him to obtain his happiness.

He wasn’t being selfish, not really. Well. That’s what he thought.

‘Soon’ he thought to himself.

‘I'll find the right one eventually, and soon everything will get better’
