First of all, my heartfelt love and thanks for all the support and encouragement though out writing Fireflies.
I won't mention names, but you know who you are, both my online and offline friends and cheerleaders. Thank you for making me charge ahead with the story, even when at times, I do doubt myself & the storyline as well as character development.
Without you, I couldn't have finished the story. In fact, your comments and ideas actually made the story longer and made me change or re route the story along the way :)
The realm of fanfiction is a god sent for me as for many other amateur writers like me out there. The stories are often written with blood and tears; and without any monetary compensation, they are definitely labours of love for most of us.
Hence, it really saddens me to find out that one of my fellow writers here on AFF got plagiarized and her work taken and put on another fanfiction site with the character names changed and all. And the plagiarizer also had the gall to put an author's note saying that she (the plagiarizer) put much effort in the writing.
Sigh... Please don't do this and have more integrity, even in our trivial pursuits. If you have the creativity of taking other people's work, I am sure you would find some other creativity to create your own.
For budding writers and those who just want to create and share your work, be it in the form of writing, videos, artwork or the likes, please protect your work. It can be as easily done with pasting something like the caption below

on your work or at the end of your chapters. Also, do keep your drafts as proofs of your work. In fact, I myself, didn't do this before until a dear friend lectured me to do so.. Lol, tx chingu :)
Lastly, don't let set backs such as these dampen your creative spirit. Please continue to create and share, you would always find a apt audience out there, just for you :)
