I’d Go Gay for Him

“Wow, that's your Ahjussi?” Amber gave an open mouthed stare. “I'd go gay for him anytime, man.”

“Amber, you're a girl and he's a ... man,” So-Mi said in exasperation. “You won't be breaking any cardinal rule if you were to fall for him.”

“Pfftt … gender is just chromosome biased,” Amber retorted.

Amber turned towards her and grinned.

“So, you mean, you don't mind me making a go at him?”

“Hmm...?” So-Mi suddenly frowned.

Would I? I've never thought about that.

“I mean.... Let’s see, ok?” she deferred, pulling Amber’s hand as she ran down the university steps. “Ahjussi!”

As the two girls walked briskly towards him, Tae-sik pulled himself away from his semi resting figure by the side of the rented car.

He looked almost like a model, slim and tall.

Dressed in an all black suit, no tie and with his hands in his pants pockets.

His short hair needing no comb, yet inviting one to run their fingers through.

How come I never noticed that before, she mused.

But she swept the thought aside and smiled wide in greeting.

“Ahjussi, this is my best friend, Amber,” she introduced. “She'll be coming with us, I hope you don't mind.”
