Just then, the bell to mark the end of school struck and rang loudly across the whole school.
Yuri turned to the windows of the classroom and peeked into it.
It was this song again, she sang it again.

I've told you i'll bring your sadness away, and turn it into happiness.
You got to help yourself too, Sica.

You got to stop singing all these sad songs..

That voice belonged to none other than Jessica.
That cold beauty of the vocal students.
Everyone knew her specialty, for singing all these sad songs with the fullest feelings inside it.

"Alright class, it's the end of school now"
"Now that all of you have heard everyone's voice"
"Please drop your vote for the annual musical's main lead in this box as you exit the room"

A female, high pitched teacher told the class.
Shuffling of the chairs and tables were heard from the outside of the classroom.
It was squeaky and irritating.

"Quick children!"
"It's a Friday!"
"There's so much to do on a Friday afternoon!"

The teacher further cheered the class as she hurried them to leave the classroom, as well as dropping their votes in the box.

Friday?
What's a Friday to me?

Nothing, just a plain old day with no plans but just rotting at home with my bed.
Oh right, i love my bed.

"Sica!"

Yuri waved with a bright smile as she stood outside Jessica's classroom,
waiting for Jessica's last class to end.

Yuri had an intention of bringing Jessica out for a date today afterschool.
Afterall, it's a Friday afternoon.

Jessica looked a little surprised but nevertheless, walked over to Yuri with a cold expression.

"Why are you here?"

"Im here to pick you up!"
"Let's go out and have some fun today!"

Yuri replied happily, hooking her arms with Jessica,
ignoring the looks given by both the dance students and vocal students that they had walked pass.

"Did i say i was going?"

Jessica spat coldly yet followed and willingly got dragged along by Yuri.

"If you are not, you wouldn't have let me drag you along!"

Yuri replied with a cheeky smile.

"Plus, you promised to let me try, isn't it?"

Jessica rolled her eyes in annoyance as she recalled the conversation she had with Yuri.

"Because"
"Because i had enough of watching you tear up in a corner"
"And, im willing to be the one to take your sorrow away"
"Transform them in happiness, smiles and laughters"
"Im willing to be the substitute for Taeyeon"

Jessica remained silent for a moment before wiping her tears away.

Kwon Yuri.
What are you..?
Why are you willing to do all these for me, who is no more than just mere school mates with you?

"And let me remind you, no one has ever succeeded"
"Not forgetting dancers and singers in this school has always been an eyesore to each other!"
"Im not someone who can be cheated as and when you like!"

"It doesn't matter if i'll be outcasted or not, Sica"
"I just want to be with you, and bring your sorrow out"
"Transform them into happiness through smiles and laughters"
"But do you mind being outcasted?"

Jessica chuckled sacarstically before replying Yuri.

"Mind?"
"Oh please, stop that"
"I've been outcasted ever since Taeyeon broke up with me"
"Everyone hated me for being such a pathetic person when they've never understood the true meaning of real love"

"And that settles everything, isn't it?"

«°END FLASHBACK°»

Yuri dragged Jessica to the nearby subway station and bought themselves two student tickets.
With a cute dorky grin, Yuri pulled Jessca into a crowded burger joint.

"You're hungry right?"

Jessica looked away, and out into the subway station, ignoring Yuri's question.
Nevertheless, the smile was still hung over her forever happy smiley face.

Just as Yuri was about to ask the second time, she heard Jessica's stomach let out a grumble.
Yuri chuckled.

"I see, our princess is hungry, isn't she?"

Yuri teased playfully while Jessica turned around and rolled her eyes in annoyance.

"Of course i am"
"Do i look as if im a robot who doesn't feed on food?"
"You brought me here, leaving my car in the school"
"And you don't even intend to buy me any food?"

Jessica replied immediately, a whole long chunk of unhappiness inside.
Yuri laughed and nodded.

"Alright, i'll be right back princess"

Yuri then scurried off to the long queue.
Instead of queueing, she spoke to the manager for a minute or so and returned to Jessica's table within five minutes,
with a tray filled with food.

The customers queueing were filled with shock and unhappiness because they were queueing for minutes yet Yuri went and gotten her food within minutes.

"Here, princess"
"Your favourite, american cheese burger"
"Right?"

Yuri told Jessica confidently with a dorky grin, hands clasp together cutely.

That was a total dork move.
It just reminds me of Taeyeon..

She's as dorky too..
Or even more..
Taeyeon being a dork is just too cute..

I miss you Taeyeon..

Yuri, you're emitting another form of cuteness..
But is that even cuteness or that you appear like you're so foolish?

"How did you know?"

Jessica asked casually as she unwrapped the burger infront of her with interest.

"I also know that this is one of your favourite burger joint"
"Are you impressed?"

Yuri replied with a giggle as she watched Jessica sniff her burger cutely.
Eventually letting out a cute snort, with a disgusted look.

"NO!"

Jessica screamed out in disgust as she threw the burger back onto the tray,
earning weird glares from people around them.

"What's wrong princess?"

Yuri asked, trying to be concerned but she had a hard time holding back her laughters.

"Stop calling me a princess!"
"You don't treat me like one!"

Jessica grumbled with her arms crossed with her head looking out of the window while her stomach growled in protest again.
Yuri chuckled.

"Since when?"
"I've bought you your favourite burger from your favourite burger joint!"

Yuri argued cheekily as she secretly switch the burger with the one infront of her with Jessica's.

"I can't eat cucumbers!"
"You should know that if you're really interested in being friends with me!"

"Cucumbers?"
"I don't remember there is any in your burger"

Yuri replied with a grin as she unwrapped the switched burger and brought it up to Jessica's nose level.
Making tiny circle spins infront of Jessica, Yuri continued.

"Look, there isn't any"
"It's not a good idea to lie, princess"

Jessica took a better look at the burger but was shocked to see there was really no sign of any cucumber slices in it.
Taking the burger to a closer look, Jessica started sniffing over her burger and slowly peeled it open.

How can it be?
I've remembered smelling and seeing it earlier on!

Where is the missing cucumbers?!

Yuri fell back onto the chair laughing hard while holding onto her stomach.

Sica-yah!

I know you've never once touched cucumbers, avoiding it as always!
But teasing you like this and watching your expression is priceless!

I wanted to bring smiles to your face today but instead, it brought mine.

"Stop that princess!"
"You're so funny over cucumbers!"

Jessica then spat her tongue out at Yuri as she took a satisfying bite from the burger,
and chewed on it with a satisfied look.

"As delicious as always"

Jessica mumbled with full.

"Why are you so afraid of cucumbers?" 

Yuri asked casually as she took a bite of her burger with a crunchy sound.
Jessica's eyes widened in shock as she took a peek at Yuri's burger.

"CUCUMBERRRR!"
"You're a monster!"

Jessica's exclaimed in shock as she pinched her nose in disgust.
Yuri stared at her burger for a moment before bursting into another round of laughters.

"YAH!"
"Cucumbers are good for your health!"

Yuri said as she knocked onto Jessica's forehead lightly.
Jessica however, never once put her hands down from her nose.

"It stinks!"
"It hurts!"

"It hurts?"

Yuri dropped her burger onto the tray with a curious expression.
Jessica immediately stopped eating, looking away awkwardly.

"Hurts?"

Yuri repeated with concern.

"Are you allergic to it or something?"

Jessica sighed and nodded.

"I've an allergy towards cucumbers since young.."
"If i've accidentally taken just a bite of it, i would start throwing up for days.."

Ohmy..
It is this serious?
I shouldn't have played this far.

Kwon Yuri.
Cheongmal pabo yah!

"Mianeh Sica"
"I didn't know.."
"I thought you were just picky with your food"

Jessica shook her head as she picked her burger up, and continued eating in silent.
Yuri turned back to her burger and took out the slices of cucumber and wrapped it up with a piece of napkin before continuing.

"I've taken it out princess!"
"I promise, from now on"
"With me around, there will no longer be any cucumbers near you!"
"I promise!"

Yuri said assuringly with confident, together with a peace handsign.

What a kkab..
But thanks, you really made my day.

Your laughters..
Momentarily, it took my mind off Taeyeon's image.

"Better hold up to your promise"

Jessica replied with a small smile, which she tried to hid it from Yuri.
Yet, Yuri spotted it and giggled as she secretly dab her fingers with mayonaise and touch Jessica's nose lightly.

"Don't hide your smile princess!"
"You're pretty with your smile!"

"KWON YURI!"

Jessica hissed as she picked up the whole small tray of mayonaise and smashed it straight onto Yuri's noise.
There was a spilt second of silence before Jessica burst into laughters after seeing Yuri's expression.

Eyes shut.
Nose totally white with the mayonaise over it.
Opening her eyes slowly, Yuri smiled.

This heartfelt laughters.
Finally, the first time i've ever heard it after Taeyeon's breakup.

Please, remember this first shy smile of yours Sica.
And then, followed by this heartfelt laughter.

"You like it so much huh?"
"You love white nose?!"

Yuri teased playfully as she took the mayonaise over her nose and put it all over Jessica's.
This went on and on till they've ran out of mayonaise and settling down to finish their lunch.
By the time Yuri sent Jessica back to her mansion, Jessica was standing outside the wide gates.

"Thanks Yuri"
"Thanks for today"

"Sure, of course"
"I hope you enjoyed it"

Of course i did.
That was the first time i've really laughed to my hearts content.

Why is it that being with you, made me feel so different being with Taeyeon?
It made me feel so safe being with you,

Being with Taeyeon, i'll be looking after and watching her.
But with you, it's so different and fun that i can actually take my mind off Taeyeon for that short moment.
