The Angel Boy's Reactions

The Other Side of the Mirror

Sunmi could really see how different Sehun was compared to the Devil.

The strong difference rang out in her every single time Sehun talked, he walked, he smiled, he looked at her, the way he beamed. Just every single thing that Sehun did made Sunmi more and more aware of how this guy WASN'T the Devil.

It was strange wasn't it? That two people could look exactly identical but be opposites. It made her wonder how the Sunmi in the other world was like. She would bet bet the other Sunmi was a , hehe.

She could see Sehun trying very hard to blend into his surroundings, or rather, act like how the Devil was supposed to act. However to her, Sehun was Sehun and the Devil was the Devil and it was still so darn easy to tell them apart no matter how hard Sehun was trying.

His eyes would still look too kind, his lips would still curl up in unintentional smiles, his demeanor would still look humble as compared to the arrogant body language the Devil was extremely capable of even without saying anything.

Even though Sunmi hated the Devil with everything she had, she couldn't help but quite like this new Sehun even though he had the same face as the annoying bastard.

If the other Sehun was a Devil, this Sehun was an angel.

He seemed so untainted and innocent, so straightforward but never mean. He was getting along pretty well with the EXO-K boys even though it had been just a few days, and it would have been just impossible if it had been the Devil.

Sehun was really a nice person. He would have been a great friend had he not belonged to another world altogether.

Sunmi knitted her brows and twisted her lips. "I wonder how the Devil is doing on the other side." she muttered to herself. She grinned at the thought. "Maybe he's being treated like a loser and disregarded by everyone. I'd LOVE to see his face if that happened."

Sunmi was right. Sehun was trying very hard to fit in. It wasn't so much of trying to get everyone's acceptance or anything of the likes, because everyone certainly accepted him. In fact they embraced him, idolized and respected him so much that Sehun kind of suspected this devil was some sort of royalty for real.

It was still very hard to get used to, though. One moment he was a loser pig back in his world and here he was suddenly some sort of sports god. Jesus.

It was strange because he looked exactly the same. He was still the same old Sehun who loved books, hated sports, had an obsession with ice cream and secretly believed that unicorns were real. He was still the same old dork from before,  the dork whom everyone despised and looked down upon on the other side.

Why was it that he was so desired and respected over here? Unfair, the world was.

Could people tell that he wasn't the Devil? Perhaps they felt his behavior was a little off from before, but did they suspect that he was a whole different person altogether? Could they tell?

Sehun knew that back in his old world he was a loser, a nerd, a dull person whom no one wanted to know better. But he couldn't help but feel that even if this Devil had been really popular, he wasn't better off compared to Sehun.

Sure the soccer players hung onto his every world, sure they gave him stuff and made sure to treat him like royalty, sure they called him hyung and all of them quietened down whenever he opened his mouth to speak....but they didn't try to know him for real.

He didn't know if he was overly sensitive, but he kind of had a feeling that every single person around him had some sort of motive when they talked to him, looked at him, or even walked past him.

Heh if that was really the case this Devil wasn't much better than Sehun huh?

And his "friends" god. He didn't really think he could last long in this world because his "friends" were just so intolerable. They talked dirty, talked bad about the teachers and other students, and they all had one thing in common:

They HAD to include at least one vulgarity into their every sentence. AT LEAST ONE.

Sehun realized that their vocabulary wasn't very impressive, or rather his imagination wasn't as impressive as he thought. Because he never imagined just one single word could be used in such colourful ways, that one word could be used as an adjertive and a noun in absolutely any sort of situation to express any degree of emotion at all. What a flexible word the F word was.

Sehun would really have chosen to un-hear everything if he could. Could they even understand each other through all the swearing? Seriously.

Anyway, if there was one thing good about being the Devil over at this side....Sehun would think it was having the affections of a certain someone.

"SEHUN OPPA~"

Sehun heard her voice the moment he stepped into the classroom with his soccer "friends" and a tingle went down his spine. Gosh, he could never get used to her voice in such a tone. She never called him oppa, thought it was stupid.

Sehun saw Jina waving at him from her desk and she gestured at him enthusiastically for him to sit down at the table beside her. Sehun moved over to her table immediately, and it was only after till he sat down that he saw Baekhyun's disapproving shakes of head directed at him.

He realized what the EXO-K boys had said. The Devil was never interested in Jina, so he must not show interest as well.

BUT IT WAS SO HARDD!!!! Sehun wanted to cry.

He looked over at Jina and who he saw was his best friend, even though this version of his best friend had a thick layer of make up on and her skirt was shorter than anything considered decent. And not to mention she had an awful habit of twirling her hair around her fingers as she looked at him through half-lidded eyes.

But still, that face was Jina's. His familiar best friend.

"Sehun oppa, you got rid of your glasses and your funny gelled hair!" Jina cooed, shifting her chair nearer to his and smiling at him coyly. "I like you like this better. But you're still always hot no matter how you look, Sehun oppa. It's a sin to look this hot!"

Sehun gulped. Okay, so how was he supposed to react to that?

Did she go around telling every guy he was hot or did she only tell it to him? Was he over thinking everything? Was she even joking?

"By the way, Sehun oppa." Jina continued. "I bought a new coloured lipstick this weekend. It's called Cherry Pink. I like the name but I'm not sure if it looks good on me. What do you think?" she leaned closer to him and puckered her lips for him to see.

Sehun unconsciously leaned away as she did so, his eyes wide as he stared at the pair of lips right in front of his eyes. What did she want him to say for goodness sakes? Lips looked like lips!

His face was reddening rapidly and he knew it, but he couldn't do anything to stop it. He could fell his cheeks heating up and he his lips nervously, his heart thumping quickly. Gosh why were her lips still so close to him? He was getting shy already!

"You're not supposed to put make up in school, Jina." Sehun managed to squeak out.

Jina let out a giggle as she fell back into her chair, not noticing Sehun's sigh of relief as she did so. "You're so cute, Sehun oppa." she touched his arm. "That's why I love you."

Sehun reddened even more than he could imagine as the words resonated in his mind. That's why I love you. That's why I love you. That's why I love love love love-ve-ve-ve-......

The teacher came in at that moment and saved Sehun from giving an answer to her blatant unashamed confession, and he wiped the sweat off his palms nervously.

So if Sunmi was secretly crushing on her friend Suho, perhaps Sehun had a confession to make. He had a crush on his best friend Jina as well, even if she didn't like him back in his world.

But this Jina did. This Jina adored him.

Sehun swallowed hard as he replayed the words in his mind again. Oh boy, the Devil was one lucky guy.

-----

"You aren't supposed to let Lee Jina touch and claw you like this." Sunmi frowned at Sehun. She pulled him over to the empty stairwell once it was break to tell him off. Sehun's reactions to Lee Jina were like one from Mary.

The Devil didn't blush. Sehun did nothing but blush.

Sehun started pinking at Jina's name and he wringed his hands uncomfortably. "What do you want me to do?" he whined. "I can't just tell her not to touch me."

Sunmi gave him a look. "The Devil usually insulted her and cursed her, so what do you think? At least shrug her grip off and don't pay her any attention. Your sudden sensitive reaction to Jina is really suspicious to everyone else." she reminded. "And stop blushing when she flirts with you for goodness sake. It looks like you like her or something."

Sehun reddened even more and he stiffened, swallowing and not saying anything.

Sunmi blinked a few times at his lack of response before realization dawned. Her jaw dropped and her eyes widened in shock. "Oh Sehun! You like Lee Jina!" she shrieked.

"Shhhh!!!" Sehun hushed her, panicking. He looked out of the door and was glad that no one was coming to take the stairs. "It's supposed to be a secret." he whispered. "Jina doesn't know."

"If you continue pinking and stuttering whenever she flirts with you, everyone's going to know." Sunmi snorted. She eyed him in interest. "But you said Jina was your best friend from the other side. So you mean...you're in love with your best friend?" she teased, grinning.

Sehun huffed and gave her a look. "Don't tell anyone!" he hissed. "I don't want Jina to know. Jina never liked me in that way."

"This Jina does." Sunmi shrugged and gave him a look. "Look Sehun, I know it's going to be hard because they have the same face, but this Jina isn't your Jina. This Jina is such a that even the ugliest boy wouldn't want her as a girlfriend, get it? If you start going out with her, there's going to be a lot of consequences. Don't screw up the Devil's life before he gets back." she warned.

Sehun didn't finish listening. "You mean there's a chance for us to start going out?" he looked hopeful.

"Oh Sehun!" Sunmi frowned. "Were you listening? You CAN'T."

Sehun pouted and harrumphed, looking away. Sunmi sighed and shook her head. "Remember not to stick too close to her alright? I've got to go before someone catches us together." she moved to the door and looked back at him. "Remember what I said!"

She darted out of the door.

Sehun stared as she left and twisted his lips. "This world or that....she's still Jina." he whispered.
