Rain On My Vacation

Description

Hey guys, I'm quite new to AF in terms of writing. I ususally do my reading here and I thought why not do the some writing as well. Anyways I wanted to do this story after sitting down in my room and asking myself where I would I like to go on vacation and what if I met my fave celeb there. That's when I put two and two together. South Korea + Bi/Rain = best vacation in the world. Now I am a fan of his music and as a fellow singer I respect his creativity and love for music and he is a darn good actor, so why not use a man such as himself in this story. Anyways in the words of Choi Minho on Oh! My Scool ( a variety show), CHUBBAAAALLL!!!!!!!

Foreword

I can't believe it. I am actually in Korea. Well to be more specfic, South Korea. I arrived this afternoon after a long flight from Torornto Pearson Airport. I flew economy but it wasn't bad or over crowded as I expected. Surprisinsingly I flew during the time where the travelling agency called it "off season". So I actually got a good deal on on my plane ticket. I had my trusty Samsung Galaxy SIII with me and my Galaxy tablet as well. Wow, talk about being patriotic. Anyways like I said it was a lengthy trip, from Toronto to Vancouver to the Incheon International Airport in 15 hours between being up in the sky or on the ground but it was all worth even though I was quite jet lagged and a little trippy getting of the plane, the feeling of being in a distant land with only discovery lying in front of me made me feel like the world was my backyard awating for me too uncover every nook and cranny. After 10 minutes of being amazed at my surroundings, I went to get my luggage off the carrouseI and on my way to the hotel which was surprisingly only 10 -15 minutes away from the airport by car. I went out to find a taxi. It was a little late in the afternoon, around 4:30 and of course being in late spring the sun was still out which felt quite nice. It wasn't cold out more like cool with a light breeze.Thank God I wore my leather jacket with a  long sleeved maxi dress underneath. My hair was up in a neat bun and I had no make up on my face which made me feel light and refreshed. I was only staying here for 5 days and 4 nights so I only had two suitcases and my favorite bag hanging on my shoulder.

I looked around and found a taxi to my left and walked with my luggage in tow. I knocked on the glass window of the passenger side to get the drivers attention and pointed at the trunk . He nodded his head and I heard a pop come from the back. I walked towards the open trunk to put my things in. The driver walked around the car and motioned for me to sit down and while he put away my things. I gave him a smile and slid into the back seat with my neon green satchel. The driver came around and asked me in broken English where I was going. I chuckled and told him the adress in Hangeul. He turned around and gave me a surprised smirk. "You speak very well for a foreigner" the man said to me. " Well you speak perfectly for a Korean", I said back to him in his native tongue amused at his astonishment. He gave me an eye smile and and turned around to start the car and we were off.

He asked all the questions under sun, where I came from, where I leanred Korean from, why I came here, how old I was, etc. And not feeling any ways answered all of them. Then he asked me the most unusual question in my opinion. "Are you married?" he asked me while giving me a glance at his rear view mirror. I was a little confused by the question and a little embarassed but I answered him honestly. " No. I am not...do I look like I should be?", I asked feeling a bit exposed. Now don't get me wrong I don't have any bad feelings towards anybody who is marreid young, old, whatever. To each their own, you know? But the reason I felt a bit weirded out by his question was because I never had a boyfriend and the fact that he thought that I was married reminded me of my very long sinlge status and also reminded me of the reason of me comming on this trip, to get out and get some fresh air and relax and not wonder about my love life. (-_-'')  "Yes, I think you shoud be. You seem like a nice, polite and educated girl. Not to mention very beautiful. If only I had a son I would introduce you". He said that with a nice laugh as we finally arrived at the hotel. I was taken aback by what he said. I mean most things I've heard about Asian countries is how they like to keep the blood "pure" if you know what I mean. So when he saw my surprised face he couldn't help but laugh at it." You know opposite to popular belief most of us are more concerned with our childrens happiness and well being than trying to maintain "pure blood" of a country. No race is more important than the other. We all might look different and even act different but, at the end of the day we are human. Don't ever forget that, *aleumdaun soneyo." I couldn't help but smile and feel touched at what this man was telling me. I reached in my satchel to give him the money to pay for the fare and something extra. I exit the car while the driver was taking out my cases and hand them to the bell boy. I hand him the money and gives me a perplexed look. "I think you have given me a little too much" he says handing me back the etxra money. I take and put it right back in his hands. "No", I said " I've given you exactly what you deserve." "This", I pointed at his taxi fare, "is you fare but this is for being a good person and making a girl feel like a million bucks. Thank you.'' He flashes me a smile and gives a me a slight bow, I respond and bow back. He walks to the driver side. Just before he sits down he turns his head calls out to me "I have a feeling you're going to have a life changing experience while your here. **Annyeong!" And with that the ahjussi/driver drives off inot the herd of cars.
