Runaway - KARA http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g4LrId76pzk     ------------------------ Narrator’s P.O.V:     “Are you sure she’ll be okay?!”   “Hush, child. She’ll be fine, not to worry.”   “Please, do whatever you can. Humans are frail! I don’t want Miyoung to die…”   “…My, what a strange child you are,” there was a short pause, “Your friend won’t die from the rain. Look, she’s stirring awake right now.”   With all the urgent murmurs and unfamiliar voices, Miyoung finally squinted her eyes open. The light was bright, but not enough to hurt her eyes.   The first thing she saw was an older lady hovering above her, looking as if she was in her early sixties or so. Bewildered at the unfamiliar stranger, she turned her to right and spotted to a tense L. Joe.   “See, child? I knew she would awake early,” the woman said to the blond with a small smile before turning to Miyoung, “Are you feeling alright?”   “Yeah, are you okay?!”   Using her own strength, Miyoung eased herself up into an upright sitting position. When she did so, a wet towel fell onto the blanket that covered her and all of a sudden, her head felt hot and sticky from the exposed moisture.   The first person Miyoung wanted to reassure was the blond, “I’m fine, so stop pouting.” She lightly flicked his forehead as he let out a sigh of relief. Miyoung smiled before turning to face the elder, “I’m sorry if this sounds too blunt, but, um… where exactly are we?”   The lady chuckled and leaned back onto the hard wooden floors, “This is the motel I own, you see. Your friend over here was practically in shambles when he appeared at my doorstep with you in his arms. As I recall, he repeatedly begged me to help you.” She smiled a motherly smile and patted Byunghun on the head, where he grew shy.   Bang, bang, bang! Bang, bang!   The furious knock only grew louder.   “Yes, who is it?” The lady - dressed in a light shawl - hurried to the door and flung it open, only to see a strange yet frantic man holding a sopping wet body that seemed like a woman at a closer look. Behind them, the rain was mercilessly pouring.   “My word…” The lady gaped, eyes wide.   “P-Please… please save Miyoung…. Please help her…” His voice quivered, and he looked so lost and abandoned that the lady just couldn’t refuse.   The lady smiled fondly, “And when I asked, he simply replied that he ran here from the clearing down south. I can’t imagine how long that would take, but he claimed to have carried you all this way after you suddenly fainted.” She shook her head, “It’s not hard to understand why you fainted. The weather’s ruthless today!” All three turned to stare out the window. Thunder rumbled dangerously in the sky and once in a while, there were flashes of lightning. The weather had gotten even worse in a matter of hours.   “My motel is shabby and may be cramped, but at least it keeps out the bad weather, like this horrid storm.” She clucked her tongue.   Miyoung, who had still not completely regained her senses, grew baffled and appreciative. “I… really don’t know how to thank you for all this trouble.”   The lady put a reassuring hand on her shoulder and kindly smiled, “No trouble at all, young one. You are free to stay as long as you need to. It’s quiet and there are not many travelers that come this way, so it should be comfortable for you here.”   “Oh no,” Miyoung humbly refused, “We couldn’t intrude more after causing this havoc. We’ve actually got a train to catch.”   “A train?” The lady’s eyes slightly widened, “You couldn’t possibly go out now. The storm’s terrible, and your body’s probably still too tired to function properly.”   “We’re grateful, ma’am, really, but we’ve really got to get home today—“   The lady wouldn’t hear it, “No, no, please stay. Plus, it’s already nine at night, and I’m sure there are no trains going back to Seoul now. If there were, they’d have already departed. ”   Miyoung gawked. *It’s nine already? I slept for that long?! * “B-But—“   “Hush, hush, child. No need to worry. Just stay the night, and you can return bright and early tomorrow.” She beamed and slowly stood up, “You two must be very worn out because of today’s events, and hungry, too. I’ll go prepare a meal and bring your male friend another futon.”   Miyoung, still stunned, quickly bowed again, “Thank you… I don’t know how we can repay you.”   Byunghun just looked up and blinked at the two.   The lady looked surprised at first but soon winked, “No need at all. Just feel better, alright? Plus, it’s good publicity for our mot
