Fact: January 23,2013 -- Disturbance single announcement ; January 28,2013 -- DIsturbance mv release

If it were any other day, she would be standing here in utter shock due to happiness, and not because of something so conflicting. 

She was called out to a company meeting together with her manager that day. When she arrived at the office, her brother, Jaewon and TVXQ's manager were also invited. Everybody were very happy when she graced the office. 

She looked at them confusedly as she took her seat near her brother.

'Why are you even included in this meeting, oppa?' BoA asked, eyeing her brother suspiciously. Soonwook just shrugged his shoulders and let out a giggle before directing his attention somewhere else. 

Although it was a cheery atmosphere, she couldn't help but feel worried. It's not everyday she's left outside the loop. Not knowing what was ahead of her was of course very frustrating. 

BoA elbowed her brother discreetly, using violence as her last resort for him to spill the beans but his lips were sealed. 

Eventually, another person entered the conference room. 

'Hello everybody, hello BoA!' He announced directing his eyes to meet hers. She wasn't really intimidated by him. Nothing really ever does, but she can't deny that she's a bit anxious. 

'Hello...?'

The man smiled thoughtfully as he took a seat at the edge of the table. All eyes were focused on him. 'Ah, I forgot to introduce myself. My name is Kim Dong Ha and I'll be producing your next Korean music video.' The young man leaned on his seat comfortable, brushing his red hair away from his face.

BoA just stared at him with her eyes wide open in shock. She turned to her brother who was already nodding at her enthusiastically. Things were happening so fast she's having a hard time coping up.

'Then...'

'Yes. And Soonwook, your brother, will of course direct it.'

Soonwook leaned closer to his sister and whispered, 'You don't know how hard it was to keep it a secret from you this long...'

SM, apparently has a lot of big plans for BoA in the future. They were aware of BoA's budding potential as a singer-composer-songwriter and the company would like to take her to that direction. In fact, there's also some talks about her, starring in a drama or movie, as a way of branching out her career expertise and molding her into a well-rounded artist. Lee Soo Man was the one who instigated the following events for her and he personally laid out plans to effectively promote her on a whole different level of artistry. 

'I heard the sample of your latest song Disturbance. It was a great song! And now I would like to produce the music video for that.'

'Don't worry about any other stuff, we've talked about it already,' Soonwook added when he noticed BoA was already speechless. She originally wrote Disturbance as a special surprise gift to her fans. She did have plans producing it herself but she wasn't expecting a grand scale promotion to unveil it and make it into a reality. It was just a wish after all... 

'But I want to be a part of the party so I'm here,' Jaewon finally announced. BoA looked at him expectantly, curiousity flickering in her eyes. 'Remember our cancelled meeting?'

'Yeah... What happened to that anyway?'

'Well, what happened was that I got you a new gig. A first in your 12 year career.'

'Pft! A gig I haven't done in 12 years? You mean like a solo Korean concert or something?' BoA snickered, trying hard not to laugh out loud. As if Jaewon's even capable to set up something as big like that. It was a ridiculous thought and she had to dismiss it almost immediately.

'Oh, you actually got it on your first try!' He returned, now anticipating for BoA's reaction. 

The young lady dropped the pen she was playing with, as fell open in utter shock. She blinked a few times waiting for a punch line but all she saw was Jaewon with a ridiculous grin plastered on his face. She turned her head around and saw how everybody don the same stunned expression. 

'I knew I was the best!' He rejoiced leaning back on his seat, obviously proud of himself. She poised herself to stand up so she could rush at Jaewon's side and give him a hug when the door swung open distracting her. 

'I'm so sorry I'm late..!'

All heads turned to the direction of the door and BoA couldn't help but get a mini heart attack. Why was he even here. It was the last thing she would have liked to see for today. All the excitement seemed to evaporate as soon as he made his presence. 

BoA took a sit back and watched Yunho walk towards his manager. 

'Any more surprises?' BoA muttered to herself absentmindedly. 

'In fact there is,' the producer announced. She didn't mean for her words to be a question that needed answers but the producer's sharp hearing won't let this opportunity slip by. He was going to use it as the final blow without her realizing it. 'Our gentleman right here would be none other than your co-star in the music video!'

'What?!' BoA and Yunho both cried out. They looked at each other then back to the direction of the producer. Kim Dong Ha was shocked for getting the wrong reaction. 

'Uh... This atmosphere was opposed to what I have expected,' he said cautiously. 'Is there a problem?'

BoA pursed her lips. She could feel all eyes on her, awaiting for an explanation. But what was she supposed to say? That she felt so embarrassed acting alongside Yunho? If they asked for what reason she was feeling that way, how was she supposed to answer without further embarrassing herself? 

What's even worse was the fact that the same man in question is Ara's -- her bestfrend -- potential lover. That can be the only logical explanation about their closeness anyway so why sugarcoat things. She wasn't delusional enough to mask that reality, whether she likes it or not. 

BoA struggled to find the right words to explain her side without looking so pathetic. She cleared a few times but it only built the anticipation from the others. 

'Well... It's just that--' 

'I have a pretty busy schedule the coming weeks so I don't think I can commit to this project.' Yunho's voice was steady. It was hard for BoA to guess if it was just an excuse to save her or if it was truly the truth of the matter. 

'Uh Yunho, I don't think you have anything else planned for the--' TVXQ's manager tried to reason out with a small voice but Yunho raised his hand halting him. He was lying for sure. His schedule for the month was actually pretty empty so when his manager told him he would appear as a co-star in a fellow labelmate's music video, he just waved his hand in approval right away. He didn't bother hearing the rest of the details. He just wanted to be preoccupied with work and ease his mind about thoughts that concerned BoA. It was an error on his part however and now, the consequences were here to get him.  

Yunho did not anticipate that BoA would be the one releasing a music video and it kind of stung that the amount of things he knew about her have diminished considerably. 

The unexpected revelations and turn of events were escalating too fast and honestly, he didn't think he could stand before them with a coherent mind in check. 

He caught a glimpse of BoA amidst everything. He couldn't decipher the kind of look she has right now but if he could sum it up, he would think that she looked disappointed. 

She clutched the fabric she was wearing as she bit her lip. She wouldn't deny the sudden disturbance she was feeling in her heart. Truthfully, BoA doesn't even know what she was feeling exactly. 

She felt hurt, betrayed, used, sad and angry all at the same time. Without her realizing it, she's been a part of his dangerous territory and it's been more difficult for her to recover once she became aware of it. 

Why?

Because deep down, she knew that she's fallen for him. 

Hard. 

And she can't suppress her feelings anymore. Not even with reasons. Not even with the knowledge of a gleam future together with him. As soon as she came into terms with her feelings, she knew she wouldn't be able to turn back. She prepared herself for the fall. She truly did. 

But she didn't realize that loving someone for the very first time would be this painful. And she was left with nothing but to bear everything quietly.

Alone. 

By herself. 

Without him.

Author's Note:

So, I was making my research so I can write this chapter to parallel facts. It seemed like BoA produced this song according to wikipedia. But then, who is THIS GUY THEN? When I first wrote this, I had to play the Disturbance Making Video and gather snippets to include in the story so I had made the name "KIM DONG HA" (I couldn't research his actual name anywhere unfortunately...). So yeah... I'm a bit confuse here...

But since this is a fanfic, I shall try and not obssess over this trivial stuff anymore... *sigh*
