Description
In a terrible car crash, Dongho meets a little boy who cries alone every night in a place where no living being can reach. Neither dead nor alive, the boy constantly calls for Death.
Why does he beg for Death to take him home?
Who is he?
What are the birds that fly in and out of the windows that cannot be shut?
Dongho wants to find out more, but time is running out for him. Will he get the answer before it is too late?
Foreword
Crappy description, I know. This story was inspired by my grandfather's weird habit of leaving all the windows in his apartment (which, may I mention, is located on the 32nd floor of the building. Let me tell you, there's plenty of wind up there) open 24/7 regardless of whether it's winter or summer. From there, the story draws on two personal real-life experiences that I hope will show you a different perspective on life. A little warning though: it may get very depressing.
He was exhausted. All of them were.
Dongho yawned and stretched as much as he could in the van. He heard a crack as the bones in Eli's hands popped and he winced.
"Stop cracking your knuckles!" Kevin said. Eli smirked and cracked his knuckles again, much to Kevin's annoyance.
The van pulled to a stop at a red light while the U-KISS members talked quietly about getting some hot drinks and a break from their activities. Dongho watched blearily as the cars streamed past and yawned again when the light changed to green.
The van began to move and Dongho saw an 18-wheeler truck heading towards his way.
He was too tired to really register what was happening.
All he remembered was the feeling of coldness on his left side as he fell asleep.
