I was shocked. Upset. Confused. I couldn't believe the words coming out of my mother's mouth.  The words, "We're moving to Seoul" were unable to be processed in my mind. I had just been told that my family & I would be moving to Seoul,South Korea. Why this was happening was my next question, but I didn't like the answer.

   "Our accounting company is merging with another large corporation!", my mother said cheerfully. She went on to explain that Park Accounting Corp. , the company they would merge with has its headquarters in Seoul. So, we'd move closer.

I started to cry. I didn't want to leave my family's expensive mansion in New Jersey. I'd been there as long as I could remember. I spoke these words while I cried. My father tried to console me. It did not work.

    "Hailee, you've always said how much you've wanted to see Seoul. What better way than to live there? There's so much to do and so much to see! You can do anything you want and you can take your future friends with you!"

 "I probably won't have any friends, father.", I stated. This statement was quite likely. I've never been one to talk often. If I did, it was only with people who I was comfortable with. I mainly kept to myself and expressed myself in only one way:music. I loved to read it. I loved to sing to it. I loved to dance to it. Performing was  my passion, but I never showed it to anyone else. So, my gifts & words were kept to myself. Beautiful things that were never to be discovered. Or so I thought....
