I’m dedicating this fanfic to all non-Asian KPop-fans like myself who have to content themselves with watching YouTube clips and reading on allkpop and pray that someday the miracle happens and their favourite group will hold a concert on their continent!

Aaron is infatuated with SHINee; her bias is Taemin. Her free time is spent in front of her laptop watching their MV’s, reality show appearances, concerts, and everything else. She’s got an account on AFF and she practically lives there. In short, she is a major KPop fan like many others. The whole thing has only one catch.

Aaron lives in Europe.

But that does not hinder her in any way. She just has this passion for South Korea. She loves its culture and its food. She likes how Koreans dress and the sound of the Korean language. She’s watched about any Korean drama that exists and although she has no clue about the European music scene she could immediately tell you what song is topping the charts in South Korea.

And even though no one around her shares this passion, she doesn’t mind because she can share as much as she wants on AFF. She’s contented by admiring her idols from afar and spazzing together with other fans all over the world.

But then she starts this new fanfic and her first subscriber is different from any subscriber she’s had before.

Lee Taemin is the maknae of a very successful Korean Pop group. He can’t walk in public undisguised without causing a shrieking frenzy. He’s got fans all over the world. Reality shows pay just for his aegyo and renowned car companies want him for the promotion of their brand-new series. In short, he is insanely famous. The whole thing has only one catch.

Standing at the top is lonely.

He may have his family supporting him and s standing at the top with him but they can’t make this forlorn feeling inside him disappear. His heart just knows he’s missing something important. It knows he’s yearning for someone to understand him completely and accept him for who he is and not the image SMent has created for him.

And even though no one around him seems to be able to comprehend this, he doesn’t mind because he’s come to accept that this is the price he has to pay for his success. He tells himself to be contented with what he has.

But then Key introduces him to the world of fanfiction and he stumbles over this story whose author seems to understand him even more than he does himself.

Although I try to make this story as real as possible, it is still only fiction! The characters are either made up or based on videos I had seen at the time I started drafting this fic. Which is already some time back… ^^ I do not own the people, I only own the idea! Everything is purely imaginary! (I really felt I needed to say this, or else I’d be seriously embarrassed to write some of the scenes!! *^^* Also, I don’t want to offend anyone!)

Oh! And a friend of mine wrote a story quite similar to this one. I’m very grateful to her for letting me write this fic despite the similarities!! Thank you very much, kpuusepp!! <3 That's why I'm mentioning her story here: All you need is him.

On a last note: This is my second fanfic (my first ff: "Let me move in with you and I won't spill that you're Kim Jonghyun!") and I’m trying out a new writing style, somewhat like a script, because I’m hoping the story won’t turn out to be that draggy and elaborate this way… I keep telling myself that my readers are all intelligent beings who can read between the lines and conclude something without me explaining every detail. So, if you don’t understand something, please tell me!! :) Also, please tell me what you think about the writing style!! Do you like it? Or is it difficult to read? Should I give the normal prose another chance or not? Please tell me!! Most grateful thanks!!!

To my embarrassment, I just found out that Aaron is actually a male name… I have no clue how it happened that until today, I thought Aaron could also be used for girls! *><* Right now, I don’t have the time to go through all chapters and replace Aaron with another name. And honestly speaking, I actually think Aaron sounds nice for a girl’s name… So, I hope you won’t mind too much. I am sorry! I'll change it as soon as I have time have found another name I like just as much!
