Hello there! ^-^ This is Asian_Innocence with my first ever BIGBANG fanfic. I’m pretty excited in writing this, as this is uncharted territory for me. I got inspiration to write this fanfic from TOP’s song with the same name. Please be patient with me as I try to portray a story that is both K-drama worthy and realistic. I also ask that you stay with me through out this journey. =) I welcome constructive criticism, and love hearing what you have to say.

The sun had long set in the buzzing town of Seoul, but the streets still bubbled with life.

~Yeah love is pain~

All along the streets – in cars, on radios, within clubs – one song blasted through the night.

~Dedicated to all my broken-hearted people~

One large van in particular drove on the crowded streets with its volume cranked up as high as the car would allow; inside, five boys jammed along with the lyrics.

~One's old a flame... just scream my name~

The large van pulled up in the underground parking lot under a towering apartment complex, the music still as loud.

~And I'm so sick of love songs~

Five boys wearing matching clothes that clung baggily on their toned bodies piled out of the van, their voices loud and jubilant. One boy, easily the shortest yet the most hyper, leaped onto the back of a very serious-looking and tall, yet smiling boy as they all crammed into the elevator.

~ Yeah, I hate them damn love songs... moments of ours~

The elevator took the crowd up the many levels of the apartment until they reached the top floor. Once the elevator door ‘pinged’, the boys happily ran out with laughter and excitement. They halted in front of a mahogany door with a gold-plated 903 on the center, almost knocking each other over. With laughter still, the plainest looking of the bunch rummaged through his back pockets and pulled out a key. He inserted it in the lock and pulled open the door.

“GEO-GIS-MAR!” The youngest yelled as he kicked open the door and stepped through the threshold.

“Ahhh,” TOP groaned as he stretched his muscular arms over his head while he made his way to the fridge. He took out a cartoon of orange juice as DaeSung retrieved two crystal glasses and placed them on the counter.

“We are numbah 1! We are numbah 1!” SeungRi yelled with elation and face-faulted straight into the couch, his laughter still not subsiding as he hugged a pillow. G-Dragon followed after him with his own smile and sat leisurely with his arm over the couch.

TaeYang began taking off his shirt, his eyes squinting due to the huge grin on his face, as he made his way to the rest room to take a shower, “I still can’t believe it…” he breathed out with a contented sigh.

“Shoot, this is what it is,” G-Dragon spoke up as he threw their first mutizen award from hand to hand, “From now on, we are livin’ the good life. But we’re going to have to start practicing more.” He placed the prestigious award on the coffee table and beamed.

“Uh, have you guys seen my cell phone?” TOP asked, as he gulped down his orange juice.

“Did you leave it in the dressing room?” DaeSung asked from the kitchen table, taking a few bites from some left-over take-out.

“Ani,” TOP replied as he looked around the living room, “I left it here so it wouldn’t get lost.

SeungRi sat up, rummaging underneath the couch cushion. With his tongue sticking out on the side, his eyes lit up as he found what he was looking for. “I knew I heard something,” he mumbled and turned around to face his hyung. “Yah, Mr. T-O-P your cell is blinking; want me to throw it to you?”

“Nah, you throw like a girl,” TOP joked, and proceeded to mimic just how inept SeungRi’s throwing skills were. Both G-Dragon and DaeSung laughed, to which SeungRi responded by punching G-Dragon playfully on the shoulder.

In retaliation, G-Dragon grabbed SeungRi in a head lock, with legs around the younger boy’s torso. “Ah! Ah! Aigoo!” The maknae screamed.

TOP took the cell phone from SeungRi’s flailing hands with a laugh. Without looking at it, he plopped down on the loveseat couch, resting one of his legs on the couch arm. Once comfortable, he flipped open his cell phone and almost immediately, he froze. His once elated feeling for having won their first mutizen award on Inkigayo quickly became the solemn. Without a word, he rose from his seat and began walking towards the group’s shared bedroom with his head bent down.  “I’ll be back,” he said quietly.

G-Dragon stopped wrestling with SeungRi and looked up, his smile slowly disappearing as a look of concern replaced it.

            “Ya ‘aight man?”

TOP nodded, pulling up the hood of his green hoodie. He crept into their room and sat on his bed with his knees up and his back against the wall. Taking a deep breathe, he opened his cell phone once more and looked at it.

“Aish…” He let out a sarcastic laugh, “Why is your birthday still marked on my calendar?”

He began scrolling down his list of contacts, his fingers automatically stopped when it reached a particular one. “Park YeonJoo…” He mumbled, as he tried to recall the face belonging to that name. “Should I?” He shook his head rapidly, trying to shake out the absurd idea that it was ok to call her. ‘It wouldn’t be right to call – I haven’t seen her in two years,’ he thought logically. ‘Ever since…’ his face became solemn, ‘ever since I ditched her…’ He sighed, as he banged the back of his head against the wall. Despite what he wanted, he knew he couldn’t just call her at 2 o’ clock in the morning to wish her a happy birthday. But… A shy smile graced his lips, ‘It wouldn’t hurt to leave a voicemail, right?’

Before he could chicken out, he pressed call and waited for the phone to reach the voicemail. To his surprise however, a laughing voice picked up after a few rings.

“Yobeoseyo?” the voice of a man answered, while the laughter of a girl was heard in the back, “Yobeoseyo?”

TOP froze, his eyes wide as saucers. He wanted to say something, but nothing but air came out.

“Aish,” the man over the phone cussed, “Who are you? If you’re not gonna answer, don’t bother calling.”

“Who’s that honey?” a familiar feminine voice called out from over the phone.

“I don’t know, it was a wrong num-”

TOP didn’t hear the rest as the dial tone was the only thing he heard. His arm slowly fell down next to him, as he stared at the opposite wall in shock. With a groan he internally cussed, ‘Dammit. Dammit. Dammit!’ In uncharacteristic anger, he flung his cell phone across the room. With a soft thud, it landed on TaeYang’s and DaeSung’s shared bed. Inside, his heart squeezed a little, and he winced when he recognized the feeling. The pain in his heart subsided into a dull ache, he realized, due to the age-old saying: “Time heals all wounds”.

His gaze travelled up to the white ceiling as he remembered that familiar laugh from two years ago. His eyes closed as visions of a pretty girl with long black hair and soft dark brown eyes began to swim across his head. Each vision, each memory he remembered made the pain in heart noticeable just a little bit more. With a sigh, his gaze travelled to the poster of his fellow band mates that hung up on the bedroom door.

“I have thousands of fans now… I made the right choice. Right?”

~Am I supposed to laugh... as if nothing's wrong?~

~Each day passes by...as if nothing's wrong.~
