All I Want This Winter Is You
D – 2
“I think you’re in love with him.”
I sighed, and kicked at Nana’s chair. “Stop saying crazy things,” I whined.
Kyungsoo just watched us nervously.
“It’s so obvious!” she replied, moving out of my reach. “I mean, even Youngjin oppa noticed the other day. You’re in a good mood and all smiley lately. What else could it be?”
I had no reply to that. “Okay, so what if I am?”
“Well, this cannot end well,” Kyungsoo muttered.
“That’s great, if you can get him out of his oblivious world to ask you out.”
Fair enough.
“What about you?” I asked, rounding on Nana. “Who’s your date for Christmas Eve?”
She blushed, and turned away.
“Xiumin,” Kyungsoo answered for her. “You know, that guy who works in public relations.”
“The one with the cute cheeks?” I asked, grinning.
Nana just nodded.
Joonmyun was alone in his apartment when I got back, looking a little restless.
“Where is everyone?” I asked.
“Kai is at dance practice, and Soojin took Hyunjun to visit her parents for the day,” he replied. “They won’t be back until tomorrow.”
“Oh.”
Suddenly, he stood up, moving towards me quickly. “Minjung-ah, do you want to go to the movies?”
“Is this a real date? Are you asking me out on a date?” I asked.
“Do you want it to be?” For once, Joonmyun actually looked nervous.
“Very much,” I replied, grinning at him.
“Then that’s what it is.”
See? Nana was wrong. Joonmyun did not live an oblivious world. Or at least, not entirely.

Joonmyun was already up when I awoke, and I found him in the living room, nursing a cup of coffee.
“Two creams, two sugar,” he said, cracking a grin at me. He handed me my own mug, and patted the spot next to him for me to sit down.
“Are you watching cartoons?” I asked, suddenly noticing what was on tv.
Joonmyun sighed, nodding. “There’s nothing else on this early in the morning on a weekday,” he admitted. “But I don’t really mind. Crayon Shin-chan is kind of funny. I’m just really glad that Hyunjun is not that mischievous.”
I glanced out of the window, and noticed that the snow on the streets had all melted.
“Do you think we’re going to have a white Christmas in three days?”
He shrugged, slinging an arm over me so that I could rest my head on his shoulders. “I hope so.”
I wanted to ask him a whole lot of question. I wanted to know if we were putting on a show still, even though there was no one was here to witness it. It didn’t feel real; nothing felt real.
About half an hour later, the door to the apartment opened, and Hyunjun bounded through, followed by a shivering Soojin hurrying to catch up.
“This kid has so much energy,” she wheezed, stopping inside the door to draw in some much needed air. “He refused to take the elevator and skipped up all the flights of stairs.”
“He does that sometimes,” Joonmyun laughed.
The last night with Soojin was surprisingly pleasant. Visiting her parents had made her considerably nicer, and she even joked with us as we all played cards together and stuffe
