Description

Kyungsoo's train journey home is the most mundane thing in his life until the Monday he notices a tall stranger leaning against the wall opposite him. He can't see the stranger's face but everything about his appearance seems to blend in with his surroundings, to make no ripples. But then Kyungsoo spots the silver and gold sequin stars that decorate his navy blue Converse All Stars - sparkly stars that don't blend in, stars that make ripples. To Kyungsoo, who loves puzzles, this attractive stranger who both blends in and doesn't, is a puzzle that he needs to figure out ...

 

AN: There is a Kaisoo drabble which complements this piece called 'There's Always Time for Patbingsu', which takes place 6 months after the end of this story. Hope you'll give it a try :).

Foreword

Hi guys! This is the first fan fic I've ever written so please forgive how BAD it is, lol. Tbh, I started writing this without a plot in mind - I just knew I wanted to write a kaisoo fluff fic which featured a smiling Jongin and a reasonably happy Kyungsoo. What can I say? I love my Kaisoo OTP to bits and I wanted to write them an angst-free story - blame it on reading too much sad Kaisoo lately!

After weeks of agonizing and coming up with NO PLOT, I suddenly had this idea for Jongin in a train, wearing a pair of slightly blingy Chucks, fascinating the hell out of Kyungsoo. The rest of the story kind of grew organically from there. Honestly, this fic wouldn't have had anything resembling a plot without my kickass beta Maya's input so I wanna send a big thank you and lots of love to Maya!

Anyways, I've written this as a threeshot, and it's called 'We Are All Made of Stars' which happens to be the title of a song by Moby. I hope you guys will give this little story a chance, and find out why Jongin has stars on his shoes and what happens when Kyungsoo eats ddukbokki!

Chapter 3: I have read your stories before , and i have always loved your writings... I am reading this one for the first time and i just realized you were so good from the start...

I mean wow the first fic you wrote , the plot is on point , the characters development on point , the fluff on point and the way you expressed the feelings of meeting a strangers and getting chills on point.

Chapter 3: As promised, here is my comment :D
I loved the idea of them meeting in the train... it's such a lovely scenario because who hasn't had their eyes wandering and finding one or another handsome stranger on the train? Well, I can't count the times I've spend the time till the next stop admiring someone's fashion choice or general charisma, so that is that.
What I mean with this, is that it gave the story a really nice start that a lot of us could most probably identify with.

Of course there are things in the story that seemed a bit sudden (their relationship for the course of the story developing in one day) but it still didn't seem rushed.
I liked the way you described Jongin and even if the story is that old, I could already find... like a small voice or tone that presages one of these things I love your current style for already.
The change of perspective between Jongin and Kyungsoo was endearing and I really liked how they tried to impress each other.
I also liked how y Jongin was to Kyungsoo when he whispered and oh boy, whose heart wouldn't drop into their gut when Jongin does that!?
Lastly, Baekhyun was such an amusing side character... but I generally have a soft spot for cheeky Baekhyun, so this is nothing new.

All in all I think you did a good job and though I totally agree with what we discussed via twitter today, I think you can be proud of how well you wrote in 2012~2013 already. We hardly like what we see when we read old works of our own and sometimes we just want to cringe or run away but at some point you enjoyed writing this story and you were proud of it and I guess we shouldn't completely forget about this. <3

Chapter 3: yo! so here i am. i was serious when i told u im going to read all of ur works from oldest to latest. but im taking things slow. lol. if u remember? that im also hyunpup at twtr. soooo. anyway, this was too cute for words. and fluff. fluuuuuuuuff. i live for fluff. kaisoo can be adorable af istg. and that train incident. i was lmao when soo said it was baek. i first thought he's going to come up with a name but then he blurted out baek. hahahahahahaha.
