Yoseob & Daniel- First Snow and First Kiss
-----
Sehun opened his eyes and woke up to a white Christmas. He jumped out of bed and darted to the window. Sehun pulled the curtain wide open and peered out at the fresh whiteness. A big smile came on his face. *It’s a beautiful Christmas morning, and it’s about to become even better.*
Mrs. Oh began calling everyone for breakfast. Sehun slipped on a warm hoodie and stepped outside. He paused when he saw the door across from him open.
Yoonhee stepped out, looking angelic in her white sweater and red skirt. She met eyes with him, and her face lit up like Christmas lights. “Merry Christmas, Oh Sehun.”
His heart leaped up at her sincere words. “Merry Christmas, Yoonhee noona.” They grinned goofily at each other.
“Yoonhee! Sehun!” Mrs. Oh called. “Coming!” They replied, laughed, and headed downstairs.
Mr. and Mrs. Oh were sitting at the table already. “Merry Christmas, ahjumma and ahjusshi!” Yoonhee skipped over and gave them both warm hugs. “Merry Christmas, sweetheart.” Mrs. Oh beamed. “Merry Christmas!” Mr. Oh responded, jolly.
Sehun and Yoonhee sat across from them and began to eat their chocolate chip pancakes.
“Would you like coffee, Yoonhee?” Mrs. Oh asked. “Yes, please!” She beamed.
“Me, too, mom.” Sehun said. “You? Coffee?” Mrs. Oh laughed and waved her hand in dismissal. “You’re still in high school. You don’t need coffee.”
“Yeah. Just drink milk.” Yoonhee chortled. Sehun scowled. “Milk is for kids.”
“Exactly.” She stuck her tongue out.
“I’m not a kid! I want coffee!” He demanded.
“You’re acting like a kid now.” Mrs. Oh pointed out, causing Yoonhee to laugh.
Mr. Oh put the paper down and gave his wife a look. “Give the kid some coffee.”
“Thank you- wait…HEY! DAD!” Sehun complained.
“What? Did I say something wrong?” Mr. Oh blinked innocently. Yoonhee was laughing harder than ever.
Sehun rolled his eyes. “It’s not funny.” “It is to me.” She poked his ribs with a wink, and he couldn’t stay mad at her.
After a scrumptious, relaxing breakfast, Mrs. Oh clapped her hands. “Ready for presents?!”
“Please don’t tell me you knitted us family Christmas sweaters like last year.” Sehun groaned with his forehead in his palm.
Mrs. Oh frowned. “What’s wrong with my sweaters? They were cute. Right, dear?” She turned to her husband for support.
Mr. Oh winced. “I’m sorry, honey, but I have to agree with Sehun on this one…the Christmas sweaters were too much.”
“And they made me itchy.” Sehun added. Mrs. Oh looked crestfallen. “Really? You hated my gifts so much?”
“Of course they didn’t, ahjumma. I’m sure your sweaters are splendid. I would love one from you.” Yoonhee sweetly beamed.
Mrs. Oh patted her cheek gratefully. “Thank you. I can only trust you, Yoonhee.”
Sehun rolled his eyes. “You just dug your own funeral.” Yoonhee chuckled and sipped her second cup of coffee.
Mrs. Oh brought out three boxes and handed them to each respective owner. “Go ahead and open it!” Sehun and Mr. Oh warily glanced at each other, while Yoonhee cautiously opened the package. She gasped at the wonderfully knit scarf. It was brown and red with little balls at the ends. “Omo, ahjumma! This is so cute! Did you make it yourself?” “I did.” She beamed. “You have such wonderful talent. You must teach me sometimes. Thank you! I will wear this well.” Yoonhee reached over to give her another hug.
Mrs. Oh giggled, obviously flattered by the sweet compliments. “Anytime, dear.”
Mr. Oh and Sehun opened their presents. They had both received scarves as well. Mr. Oh’s scarf was black and white while Sehun’s was green and blue. His face fell at the words ‘MAMA’S BOY’ at the end of the scarf. *Is she trying to kill me from embarrassment?! Why would she write such words at the bottom?! My friends are going to tease me non-stop about this!*
“How do you like it?” Mrs. Oh beamed. Sehun opened his mouth. “It’s horr-“
Yoonhee kicked his ankle. “ARGH! AHH!” He hissed in pain and gawped at her. She shot him a look and shook her head.
“What was that?” Mrs. Oh asked, confused by the gibberish that had just flowed from his mouth.
“Er, I said…it’s heavenly. I love it, mom. Thank you.” Sehun lamely muttered.
