Sehun+Luhan centered, 555 words

Luhan’s sitting by himself at one corner of their playroom like he is on most Friday afternoons, because that’s when Sehun’s having his nap time, like most of the rest of them. But Luhan’s a big boy, so he doesn’t need naps.

He drowsily crashes his fire truck into his police car and sighs. It’s so boring without the rest of them. He just wants them to wake up now and play together. The only awake one is Chen, but he’s too busy trying to sneak cookies from the kitchen behind Kris’s back while he’s playing some violent game on his laptop.

Luhan carelessly kicks away some of Kyungsoo’s wooden building blocks to create a large area for him to roll around in. He thinks he might just go to sleep right there, big boy or not. In fact, he’s just a few steps away from sleep when a certain someone toddles around the corner, dragging his baby pink blankie behind him.

“Lulu gege?” Sehun yawns and rubs one eye with a loosely-closed fist. “Gege, I’m bored.” He whines as he takes a few sleep-doused steps forward.

Before Luhan can even open his eyes and respond, Sehun trips over one of the blocks Luhan had kicked away and lands right on his face, right in front of Luhan’s shocked eyes.

“Sehun!” Luhan screams.

And after that, it’s just chaos.

After Kris dabs on some ointment on Sehun’s forehead and makes Luhan clear away anything which isn’t soft, he leaves Sehun sitting in a flood of plushies. Sehun’s still sniffling a bit, but he’s otherwise fine. At least, he’s better than before, when he was bawling his eyes out and nearly having a fit from the pain stemming from the bump on his head.

Luhan, on the other hand.

“Sehunnie!” Luhan wails and dives into the collection of toys. He grabs Sehun around the waist and buries his face in Sehun’s Barney one-piece outfit. “I’m so sorry! Gege didn’t mean to make you fall! Don’t be angry with me!”

Sehun looks down in surprise at his gege’s sudden breakdown. Truthfully, he doesn’t know why Luhan’s apologising in the first place, because he tripped over Kyungsoo’s bricks, not Luhan’s fire engine or Barbie-doll make-up kit.

“Ith ok, gege.” Sehun says with his tiny little lisp. “Not your fault.” He pats Luhan’s fluffy head in what he thinks is a comforting manner, but it’s quite painful, actually. Sehun has his hand in a fist, and he’s coming down on Luhan’s head forcefully without even noticing.

“Ow, Sehun, no.” Luhan tries to flinch away from Sehun’s fist by rolling away, but he doesn’t really wanna let go of Sehun. In the end, he settles for letting Sehun pat him on the shoulder.

Still, he feels guilty. So guilty.

“Sehunnie, you can have my cookie.” Luhan holds out his double-chocolate chip cookie crumble to Sehun. Sehun looks up at him with surprised eyes. His mouth is too full of broken cookie to answer, but his chocolate-smeared mouth breaks into a delighted grin and his chocolate-covered hands reach out to break Luhan’s cookie into half.

“Share-share.” He manages to mumble out as he crams the half cookie into his mouth. “Thanggyu gege.”

Luhan smiles, and he doesn’t feel quite so guilty anymore. Sehun always manages to put things right.
