[set in the universe where Kris and Suho live apart. this doesn't actually happen]

Everyone’s huddled over a sleeping Kris. There’s a snot bubble growing from his nose, which Chen is desperately trying to take a picture of and pop simultaneously. Lay and Luhan are stopping him with either their feet or fists, one after another as Chen just keeps on advancing on the sleeping boy. Tao shushes them from time to time, when their scuffles get too loud or when Chen bumps into furniture or something.

Lay's just grabbed Chen’s ears and Luhan’s just shoved his foot into Chen’s stomach when the doorbell rings.

A gasp arises from all of them, which prompts Tao to go into a shushing fit. Which eventually wakes Kris up.

“I’ll get it!” He yells, voice still a little cracked from sleep. He zips to the door, but trips over his own feet before he can reach it.

Xiumin rolls his eyes and stands to go answer the door, but it swings open very carefully, very slowly, before he reaches it.

Puppy-like eyes peep in the opening, followed by a lithe body and four others. Everyone in the room can hear the shouts of a little boy even before he appears in the doorway.

As Baekhyun, Sehun, Kyungsoo, and Jongin dash inside the house after Baekhyun’s cautious look around, one thing is very noticeable:

Their clothes don’t fit.

“Guys, why are your clothes so small?” Chen pipes up from under Lay, who’s squeezing the air out of him by sitting on him.

Baekhyun gestures outside the house, where Chanyeol is still wrestling with Suho. “Suho’s small for an adult male.”

“Ah. Kris’s clothes were a bit too big for some of us. You can take them.” Lay nods towards the direction of Kris’s room.

“Yeah, we’ll go have a look.” Baekhyun fiddles with the hem of his shirt awkwardly. It actually fits on him and Kyungsoo, but for Chanyeol it’s like trying to put Barbie clothes on a Ken doll.

“Kris wouldn’t mind.” Xiumin nods. The awkwardness is so…painfully awkward Xiumin just wants to slap Chen and Lay for setting the mood. He’s about to comment on the level of awkward (which would probably have made it even more awkward) but is interrupted by a certain Luhan who runs across the whole room into Sehun’s arms.

“Sehunnie! Look at you! Oh my gosh, you are the cutest!” Luhan squeals as he pinches Sehun’s chubby cheeks with delight.

“Where’s Chanyeol? Is that Suho?” Luhan exclaims and runs out of the house to drag Chanyeol into the fun too.

Baekhyun, a little stunned by Luhan’s sudden appearance, looks at Xiumin for an explanation.

Xiumin shrugs, and after a brief pause, the whole room erupts into laughter.

“Oh my god, that was so awkward.” Lay wipes away the tears in his eyes with a delicate flick of his finger. “Anyway, someone pick Kris off the floor before he inhales the dust from outside.” He climbs off Chen with a puff and a wheeze.

Chen flops dramatically around on the floor, gasping for air.

Kyungsoo bends down to carefully extract a floppy Kris from his sleeping position without waking the kid up. Halfway in the air, Kris wakes and squeals when he feels a pair of unfamiliar hands around his squishy torso.

He twists and lands like a cat, then flops down on his back and glares up at a shocked Kyungsoo.

“Who dares awaken The Kevin from his sleep?” He frowns and demands in Chinese, so Kyungsoo doesn’t understand.

Kris does a ninja body roll away from the unknowing Koreans towards the Chinese-speaking group.

“Tao-gege! I wanna play Monopoly!” He stretches his arms out.

Tao sighs and picks Kris up to explain, yet again, that they don’t even have a Monopoly set.

Kyungsoo smiles and shakes his head.

“Some Christmas, huh?” He looks toward Chen, then walks over to the Chanyeol-Luhan-Suho trio, still at the door.

Chen is momentarily rendered speechless. He looks outside, to the neighbour’s house, where a wreath of mistletoe is hung on the door.

Oh yeah, Christmas.

Yeah whoo I nearly forgot Christmas (〜￣▽￣)〜 I should probably be updating again later today or tomorrow hehe.

Keeping track of all 12 of them is such a pain in the lol
