I'm Yours (Kyuchul)

Oneshot Series

You touch these tired eyes of mine
And map my face out line by line
And somehow growing old feels fine
I listen close for I'm not smart
You wrap your thoughts in works of art
And they're hanging on the walls of my heart

The curtains were closed, though sunlight still managed to sneak in through the gaps intrusively. The birds sang their usual song, but it was honestly rather annoying. Heechul groaned as he began to wake, was it morning already? He sighed, he really couldn't be bothered with the morning. What reason was there to leave the bed anyway? It was warm, protective against the cold air, and so much more comfortable than anywhere else. Heechul turned to his side as his back had begun to feel stiff, then, the first smile of the day slowly crawling to his lips.

No real movement, except for the rising and lowering chest while breathing. Heechul shifted closer to the other, a pleasant hum then given from his lips. Of course he wasn't going to leave the bed, Kyuhyun was there with him. Cho Kyuhyun, the maknae of Super Junior. That snarky, irritating, annoying, but perfectly perfect and beautiful person who just happened to be his boyfriend.

Heechul couldn't help but think, what was the age difference between him and Kyuhyun? 5 years, but Kyuhyun was born early, so technically 4? In the end, it still made Heechul feel older than he preferred. Another groaned escaped the elder's lips. There were dark circles under his eyes, staying up late with Kyuhyun always made him tired nowadays. He sighed once again, the younger was too active for him. Really. Heechul stared at Kyuhyun, soon seeing a little twitch of the maknae's lips. Kyuhyun was beginning to wake up.

Eyes opened with a squint, bright still though and filled with life. A smile quickly took place on Kyuhyun's lips, gently rubbing his slightly reddened eyes. A grin quickly appearened on his lips.

"Good morning."

Never to Heechul had those words sounded so sweet, so affectionate and so adoring; especially compared to the way anyone else would speak them.

I may not have the softest touch
I may not say the words as such
And though I may not look like much
I'm yours

Everyone questioned how Kyuhyun was able to be with Heechul so often, since many other people found that being with Heechul was tiring. His personality was simply different, and not many people were able to cope with his uniqueness. His actions were so unpredictable, along as his whims and words. It was only Kyuhyun who never managed to become tired of Heechul's wants, finding basically everything the other did amusing. And exciting. And absolutely amazing.

Perhaps it was because Kyuhyun looked up to Heechul in that sort of sense, the way he did what he wanted and ignored what others thought of him. Just like a child before losing its innocence. The honesty, the truthfulness. It was a trait that Kyuhyun had found rather attractive about Heechul, and as he would put it sometimes,, 'y'. Of course, he didn't often say that to the elder, otherwise Heechul would have probably become drunken on the younger's words; they were intoxicating.

Not that Heechul would have ever told the younger that, just how much he loved Kyuhyun and how much he needed him. Because in the end, even if the entire world gave up on him (something Heechul was predicting to happen within the next couple years), Kyuhyun would still be there, smiling at him as if he were an angel. And Heechul knew better than that, he himself wasn't an angel, not even close. But Kyuhyun on the other hand, was one of the most stunning of God's creations (Though Heechul didn't believe in God, if he was real, Kyuhyun would have been the star of his museum).

Heechul wasn't the best with words, and he wasn't the best person to receive a hug from, but Kyuhyun didn't seem to mind, and that's all that mattered.

And though my edges may be rough
I never feel I'm quite enough
It may not seem like very much
But I'm yours

Keys were pressed vigorously, eyes staring at the screen. Starcraft, that obsessive game, neither of the two were going to stop any time soon. They were on an all nighter, the two starting at about 7pm and going on. There were packets of food, along with various drinks scattered around the room.

Rather than sleeping, Kyuhyun and Heechul preferred to spend the time together in whatever way they could, since in the morning, it was more than likely that one of them would have disppeared due to Super Junior's hectic schedule. It was a little saddening to be honest, but neither would say that, since it only made their time together that much more special.

"Kyuhyun, hurry up!" Heechul shouted irritably, noticing how Kyuhyun's actions seemed rather delayed. Kyuhyun looked up to quickly glare at the elder, then looking down with the exact same speed.

"I am, but you keep moving so I can't press the keys properly!" Kyuhyun yelled back, both sitting on the bed. Heechul gave a light growl of annoyance.

"It's not my fault you have terrible accuracy!"

"I don't have terrible accuracy!"

"Yes you do!"

"I-" Kyuhyun cut off, just at the right moment, by Heechul's lips. Suddenly pressed together, soft texture, and out of nowhere in that pleasurably suprising way. Eyes widening, but closing after, just to sink into the feeling. That feeling which gave you the urge to laugh, but accompanied by the odd anxiety in the stomach which made you nervous.

Truth be told, Heechul wasn't the best kisser, his previous lovers had told him so. But perhaps Kyuhyun also found that a charm of the elder's, that it seemed a little innocent, despite the fact that Heechul wasn't really. Not quitting yet, laptops being pushed aside, a smile was felt within the kiss.

Nothing could have been more lovely than that.

You healed these scars over time
Embraced my soul
You loved my mind

Never had Heechul met someone so fond of himself. Heechul had also never been with a person so faithfully naive that Heechul felt inclined to always be with him. No, Heechul wasn't suggesting that he was an unfaithful man, but he easily felt tired of people. Certain people would make him annoyed, and he would become sick of them and leave without a word. But Heechul would never do that to Kyuhyun, he couldn't.

Perhaps it was that sort of way of taking things for granted. Heechul would often be with Kyuhyun in his spare time, and think how annoying the younger was. He would spend time with Kyuhyun and suddenly become tired of his presence, but maybe that wasn't really the case.

Those thoughts would often run through Heechul's head, but the moment Kyuhyun wasn't there, he would suddenly feel needy. Though becoming sick of the younger easily, Heechul couldn't deny that he also missed Kyuhyun easily. It was simply a matter of time before Heechul would go on his phone, texting or calling his lover just because he wanted to.

"Hello?" A voice spoke through the speaker, but was still so recognisable. No one's voice could ever sound as gentle and warm, with the touch of playfulness and mischief, as his.

"Kyuhyun." Heechul replied, hiding the joy in his voice that Kyuhyun had actually picked up. The younger tended not to check his phone when on work.

"Oh, Heechul, what do you want?"

"Where's the 'hyung' part? Brat." Heechul retorted in a bitter tone, a laugh being heard on the other end.

"Why'd you call?" Kyuhyun asked, the laughter still ringing in his voice. To the question, Heechul paused. Why had he called, why had he bothered to get his phone out and contact Kyuhyun?

Heechul sighed.

"No reason really, just wanted to talk to you."

You're the only angel in my life
The day news came my best friend died
My knees went weak and you saw me cry
Say I'm still the soldier in your eyes

Heechul didn't cry often, he never usually did. He was never going to ever let someone see him in a pathetic state, with tears running down his face. What if he were caught on camera like that? Heechul shivered with that thought most of the time, but now, his mind was completely blank.

He didn't care anymore, the whole world was going black. Like a nightmare, like a horror film, Heechul just wanted it all to stop. Why did it have to be like this? His best friend, Hankyung, member of Super Junior, had terminated his contract and filed a lawsuit against the company. He had left Super Junior.

Now, Heechul could understand why, it wasn't that difficult; he knew that SM Entertainment wasn't really one of the nicest of companies in Korea, but still; Did Hankyung really have to leave? Was it that terrible? Was life that painful for him? Heechul assumed it was, he knew it was, but the whole thing was still so difficult to take in. They debuted together, the 12 of them, plus Kyuhyun to make 13. And then, Henry and Zhoumi who the fans didn't welcome at first, but were slowly accepted. That's how it was meant to be, the 15 of them together, so how would it work without him?

Heechul hadn't thought of anything else after he had stormed out of the dorm, the only sound he could hear being his heart pumping at an alarming rate. And footsteps which followed behind; Kyuhyun's footsteps.

"Hyung, where are you going?" The maknae called, but Heechul painfully ignored him and continued on. Down the stairs, out the automatic doors of the building; Heechul didn't have a sense of time or reality. All he knew was that he wanted to escape whatever world he was currently in and go somewhere else, even if that meant the dream world.

"Hyung! Heechul Hyung!" Kyuhyun continued to call, and although Heechul loved those moments the maknae would say that word to him, 'hyung' (since Kyuhyun rarely said it), he did not feel like stopping to grin. He wanted to be alone, he wanted to just spend time by himself.

Heechul increased his speed, "Leave me alone."

"Hyung, stop." Being a maknae, Kyuhyun was persistent, and knew an important rule; if you ask and sulk and chase for long enough, eventually, they'll do what you want. "Stop Heechul."

"I asked you to leave me alone!" Heechul shouted angrily, the despair in his voice beginning to take over. Kyuhyun easily noticed, but was not going to give up. He had a mission, one goal in mind, and Heechul wasn't going to chase him away.

"Hyung, stop!" Kyuhyun cried once again, Heechul continuing to walk as he crossed a street. The younger could feel his knees go weak as he continued to follow the elder, constantly changing from a fast paced walk to a jog. Kyuhyun was trying not to let his emotions get the better of him, but he was beginning to break.

Finally, Kyuhyun stopped chasing, which caused Heechul to suddenly feel tense and worry. The maknae was extremely persistent, he wouldn't have given so easily. Heechul slowed down slightly, 2 metres away from the maknae, then hearing Kyuhyun's voice once more.

"Please." Kyuhyun whispered, and at the moment, sounding so completely fragile. Heechul couldn't help but feel as if the younger was going to break down soon, so he stopped completely. Heechul could hear it, the shaking of Kyuhyun's voice, the way it struggled to be heard, the way- He could hear the tears. Heechul turned, unsure of what to expect, but receiving something he didn't want. A sad, miserable, crying Kyuhyun.

Heechul's eyes widened at the sudden realisation, he had been blinded by his own sadness to the extent he had forgotten about the world. Heechul was blinded by everything going on that he hadn't realised; everyone was in the same state as him. Everyone was crying, their insides being ripped apart, unstoppable pain in their hearts. Kyuhyun especially, the maknae who had tried to keep it all inside to chase him, but ended up falling apart. Heechul's lower lip quivered, biting it slightly so that it'd stop.

He didn't move, just standing there, Kyuhyun slowly approaching. The younger's steps were languid, as if he were limping just slightly. It felt like forever as Heechul couldn't do anything, feet glued to the ground, waiting for Kyuhyun to reach him. And when Heechul finally did move, the maknae reaching him and quickly pressing himself into Heechul's chest, he spoke softly,

"Sorry."

To that, Kyuhyun gave a weak hum, unable to let go of the elder. Not yet, anyway.

The maknae closed his eyes, a smile, one that he knew he would have to place on his lips for a very long time, a smile which was not genuine but not necessarily false, taking place on his lips.

"We're all broken, it's alright."

I may not have the softest touch
I may not say the words as such
And though I may not look like much
I'm yours

It wasn't then uncommon that Heechul isolated himself in his room. Though knowing everyone was hurting, he couldn't help but to push others out. Sometimes with Kyuhyun, the maknae entering only every couple days or so (though every day bringing meals for him to eat), since Heechul had a tendency to chase him out. Of course, it made Kyuhyun feel unloved in this period of their relationship, it made him feel like the third wheel. Yes, Hankyung had gone, and everyone including Kyuhyun was heartbroken, but still, Heechul could have left a little thought in mind for the maknae. His maknae. But considering that Heechul and Hankyung were the best of friends and had known each other for the longest of times, Kyuhyun tried to convince himself it was alright, that it was going to be fine. But that little seed of envy and insecurity had planted itself in Kyuhyun's mind, what about me?

But Kyuhyun couldn't leave Heechul; not then, not ever. But especially not then. Heechul needed him more than anything else, imagine having two loved ones leave within weeks of each other. Pain, pain, more pain.

Heechul laid on his bed, blanket covering his body as he faced the wall. Kyuhyun had been allowed into the elder's room, and was simply sitting on the bed, silence being his gift. The maknae knew that no matter what he said, nothing would change. Suddenly, Heechul spoke, voice soft, "What's wrong with us?"

Sometimes Heechul became like that, and Kyuhyun knew. "hm?" A simple hum was given.

"Why is it that Hankyung could leave so easily, and we weren't able to stop him?" Heechul finally started up, voice becoming stronger, causing Kyuhyun to feel uneasy. He wasn't scared, but he couldn't stop shaking. Not that Heechul noticed or anything. The elder continued to speak, "Why didn't we know about his hardships, why couldn't we see them?"

"Hyung." Kyuhyun spoke simply, that one word an attempt to make Heechul remember that he had people to take care of. Being the second eldest, he had his responsibilities too. But more than that, being Kyuhyun's lover, he had his duties to the maknae.

But Heechul didn't notice, still stuck in his pit of sorrow. He sighed heavily, speaking, "Why is it that everything is wrong? My life isn't working out at all, nothing's going right!"

Heechul breathed. Kyuhyun trembled at those words. Was he really nothing? The younger bit his lip, attempting to hold back a shaking whimper. Lifting an arm and wiping his held back tears on his sleeve, Kyuhyun retorted bitterly, "I'm sorry."

And again, like last time, with Kyuhyun's tears came Heechul's realisation. Although he did remember that everyone was hurting, he had still found himself in a pit of dispair. And though everybody tried to comfort him, Heechul didn't listen to it. He had forgotten the world, and it felt as if the world had almost forgotten him. But Kyuhyun didn't.

No matter what, Kyuhyun would always be by his side, and Heechul hadn't really forgotten, but he hadn't really thought about it either. The elder sat up, body aching, but the shivering sight of Kyuhyun keeping him going. He had no strength to mumble words, but wrapped his arm around Kyuhyun, to which the maknae quickly returned. Heechul at that moment had realised how much Kyuhyun had needed him, how much Kyuhyun wanted for the elder to hold him. But he didn't realise, stuck inside a bubble that he had thrown Kyuhyun out of.

Heechul shook with guilt, but attempted to keep it down, Kyuhyun not yet able to let him go.

The maknae was afraid that he would be forgotten.

And though my edges may be rough
I never feel I'm quite enough
It may not seem like very much
But I'm yours

From then on, Heechul started to face reality. He realised that Hankyung wasn't completely gone, and they still contacted each other every now and again. He stopped crying, stopped feeling sorry for himself and started to rebuild everything that had fallen over while in his pit of dispair. Mainly his relationship with Kyuhyun.

The day when Heechul finally left his room, the other Super Junior members stopped and clapped, literally; in a kind of mocking yet content way. They all stared at him, a look that gave him a silent warning. Or was it a plead instead? Either way, Heechul knew that he had fallen from grace, and that he had a responsibility for Kyuhyun. The younger was there for him, and now he had to repay the debt.

Of course, just being out of his depressed faze seemed to make Kyuhyun brighten. The maknae had become little clingy to be honest, but Heechul thought that was cute and didn't say anything about it.

For example, at the moment, Kyuhyun had fallen asleep on Heechul's lap, head in the nook of the elder's neck. Heechul shivered lightly, Kyuhyun's breath tickling his skin. But he wouldn't dare move, he didn't want to do anything that may have woken Kyuhyun up. Since the maknae needed rest, and he needed Heechul.

Thus, the elder did nothing but Kyuhyun's hair, a little habit of his which the younger never minded, then planting a little kiss on his forehead. Heechul sighed.

Kyuhyun deserved so much more than what he offered.

I may not have the softest touch
I may not say the words as such
I know I don't fit in that much
But I'm yours

"I belong to you, don't I?"

It was an odd question, especially one to ask suddenly in the middle of the night. Heechul opened his eyes slowly, not really sure whether or not if he heard correctly. He turned to Kyuhyun who gave him a stare; the same type of stare the maknae had given him the first time he confessed. Not knowing what the word truly meant, how meaningful the words were, Kyuhyun questioned him again. Twice. Three times.

"If you want to." Was the only thing Heechul managed to say, but if he were completely conscious, he would have said other things.

"Do you want me to?" Kyuhyun asked back, and Heechul couldn't help a little smile from appearing on his lips.

The elder sighed, arm reaching out to wrap around Kyuhyun's waist to pull him closer. The maknae let out a little hum, one of either satisfaction or confusion, but Heechul didn't pay too much attention to it. He smiled as he felt Kyuhyun cuddle closer into his arms, a little kiss on his cheek making him feel warm and love.

Heechul couldn't help but whisper into the younger's ear, "I reality... I'm yours."
