Yesung and Hae were sitting on the ground facing each other.

Hae stared right into Yeye's eyes. Is this a staring match? Oh dear God, I can't lose, he's a Kim and Hyukkie will be angry if I lose. No Hae, don't look at Hyukkie, focus, FOCUS, keep glaring at the Kim.

Yesung chuckled as he saw different parts of Hae's aura lit up.

Oh no, why is he chuckling? Is this bad? Am I ruining stuff again? What if Hyukkie gets so mad that he will cancel my sleep over? Hae paled and forced himself to super concentrate on the other. A frown formed on his forehead.

'Pssst, Hyukjae, what the hell are they doing?' Kyuhyun whispered.

'I have no idea.' Hyukjae kept his eyes on the weird duo.

'Boo!' Yesung suddenly shouted.

Hae screamed and immediately Hyuk and Kyu were surrounded by water.

'Still not protecting yourself, I see.' Yeye said.

'Yeye, you might want to turn your head a couple degrees to the right, slowly.' Hyuk said.

Yesung obeyed and his eyes widened as he saw a tiny water needle aimed at his throat.

Yeye? Why is Hyukkie giving that Kim a nickname? Hae pressed the water needle against Yesung's skin.

'You made your point, drop it, Hae.' Hyuk ordered.

And now he's protecting him? Hae dropped the needle but kept protecting the two others.

'I feel a lot of sudden hostility, Donghae.' Yesung said calmly.

Hae looked down, feeling slightly ashamed.

'I'm going to check know where the holes are in your memory base.' Yesung said. 'Are you ready?'

Hae nodded.

'You are Lee Donghae, right?'

'Yes.'

'What is your biggest fear?'

'To watch someone I care for, die.'

'What's your favourite food?'

'Seafood.'

'Favourite colour?'

'Blue.'

'Hottest vampire?'

'Hyukkie.'

Yesung chuckled.

Hae blushed and looked away.

'Stop teasing him.' Hyuk said but his eyes were smiling.

'Please take note he could only choose from vampires.' Kyu said, wiggling his eyebrows at a now glooming Hyuk.

'Power or friendship.' Yesung continued

'Friendship.'

'Do you remember your parents?'

'No.'

'Were you abused as a child?'

Hae's eyes widened.

'Stop this.' Kyu growled.

'Yesung?' Hyuk questioned.

'Trust me.' Yesung gave Hyuk a glance.

'Ok.'

Hae turned and looked at Hyuk in disbelief. 'You trust a Kim?'

'Answer his question, Hae.' Hyuk said, trying to not get affected by the hurt look on the younger's face.

'Define abused.' Hae mumbled.

'Beaten up.'

'Yes.'

'Favourite cartoon?'

'Nemo.'

'Favourite subject in school?'

'Gymn.'

'Did the previous water handler betray the fire handler?'

'No'

Yesung's eyes widened. 'Well this is interesting. Hyuk, he isn't lying or not remembering.'

'What do you mean?'

'There was no betrayal.'

'How can that be? Your skill must be undeveloped. It's in all our memories.' Hyuk flared up.

'There is another explanation.' Kyu suddenly intervened. 'Someone tricked you all.'

'I didn't betray my clan?' Hae asked. He lowered the water shields.

'Your aura is very clear and untainted, it stayed that way when I asked that question. The previous water handler did not consciously betray the Lee's'

'This-this can't be right.' Hyuk mumbled.

'His aura has two slightly darker areas, one cause by low self esteem and one....' Yesung hesitated.

'Yes?' Hyuk asked.

'Jealousy'.

'What? Hae is the least jealous person I know.' Kyu exclaimed.

'Oh, he hides it well, it only is in his thoughts and aura, he doesn't really act on it.' Yesung got up and threw an arm around Hyukjae. Immediately a wave of water separated them.

'Or maybe he does.' Yesung chuckled.

Hae pouted.

Hyuk was still dumbfounded. 'So basically, I killed my best friend...while he was innocent.'

'Hyukjae....' Yesung whispered.

'Don't come near me.' Hyuk said hoarsely. 'You are seriously telling me that my previous soul killed the one dearest to me...and was wrong?'

'Kyu, take Yesung out of the room.' Hae said softly.

 As soon as they were alone, Hae slowly approached Hyuk. He had never seen their leader looking so lost before.

'I'm going to say to you what you said to me countless times...you do realise it wasn't actually you who did it, right?' Hae said.

Hyuk wanted to speak up but Hae pressed his finger against the older's lips.

'Let's find out who wanted us gone, I don't care what our ancestors did to one another and what not. We have bonded for a reason. I trust you completely, Hyukkie.' Hae said.

Hyuk clenched his jaw and looked in the sincere eyes of Hae. He grunted and pulled the boy flush against his own body. 'I'm sorry, baby.' Hyuk whispered, he gently pushed Hae's lips apart with his own. They shared the purest kiss between them so far. Hae softly pulled away and Hyuk's hair.

'So Hyukkie, who is Yesung to you?' Hae avoided eye contact.

Hyuk smirked. 'Don't tell me he was right about the jealousy?'

Hae pouted slightly. 'You are one to talk.' He mumbled.

'Don't get too cocky, slowpoke.' Hyuk laughed. 'Or else,...'

'Or else what?' Hae's eyes narrowed and he conjured a water ball.

'I won't let you in tonight.' Hyuk whispered before he bit Hae's ear.

The forgotten water ball disappeared in thin air as Hae moaned and held on to Hyuk.

'That's my boy.' Hyuk said huskily.
