Puzzled, I frowned at my aunt and watched her as she threw her arms around Jongin as though it wasn’t the first time they’ve met.

“Oh, Kai, look at you!” she blabbered gleefully, “You look more handsome than ever!” she pinched Jongin’s cheeks, the way she would with Young Soo.

“Auntie—” I started, looking embarrassedly at Jongin who’s grinning awkwardly at my unrelenting aunt. He’s got a small red mark on his cheek from Aunt Sora’s pinching. “Auntie, please stop it.” I implored as I grab a hold of Jongin’s arm and pulled him to my side. “This is Jongin. Kim Jongin. You’re mistaking him from someone.” I said fixedly.

“I am not mistaken, Hana.” Aunt Sora insisted. “That boy beside you is Kai. What did you say—” she frowned, “Jongin, you say?”

“Yes, that’s his name. Jongin’s—” I argued, glancing at Jongin who hasn’t said anything yet. I shot him a look and said, “A little help here?”

Jongin cleared his throat. “T-That’s my name… Mrs. Lee.” he finally said, stiffly. I frowned a little when the realization hit me that I never mentioned my aunt’s last name to him. he glanced at me, hesitantly and then back at my aunt. “That’s my real name. Kim Jongin.”

“That can’t be—” aunt Sora stuttered, “I am very sure you’re Kai.”

I gave my aunt a triumphant look. “Oh, auntie, just give it up—”

Jongin sighed loudly. “Actually, Hana,” he interjected, looking at me rather anxiously. “What you’re aunt’s saying is true. I’m Kai.”

Aunt Sora clapped her hands in delight, looking pleased once again. “I knew it!” she said, eagerly.

Meanwhile, I was staring at Jongin with knitted brows. “You’re really not making any sense right now.” I told him.

“Last summer I used to go here.” Jongin explained, “Then, you’re aunt—Mrs. Lee—” he glanced at my aunt who’s smiling more broadly now. “—she asked my name…”

“Because I’ve been noticing that he’s been taking notice of you, sweetie.” Aunt Sora supplied, still grinning.

“And then—one day, she cornered me and said she’ll introduce me to you.” Jongin continued uneasily. “I panicked so I gave her the name my agency picked out for me for when I debut.”

“Kai, you mean.” I said slowly.

Jongin nodded his head sheepishly. “Right.”

“Alright, alright! I get it now.” Aunt Sora said, nodding her head positively. “Wait—” she looked at me and then back at Jongin. “Hana’s been saying—are you two dating?”

By that second, my mind was spinning as I try to process all these information. Jongin must’ve noticed my expression because he’s the one how answered my aunt.

“Y-yes.” I heard him say awkwardly. In the corner of my eyes, I see him glancing uncertainly at me.

Aunt Sora made another delighted sound. She grabbed my hand and Jongin’s and started shaking them. “That’s so lovely!” she said breathlessly. “I knew you two will find each other somehow. I’ve always thought I’ll be the one who’ll do that but fate had they own way—” My aunt’s voice started to sound far-off by that moment, she kept on droning on and on as I try to make sense of what just happened. She was asking Jongin how it’d happened when I was finally able to focus my attention again.

“Mrs. Lee?” Jongin said politely to my Aunt. “Can we discuss this some other time?” he gave her a small smile. “I want to talk to Hana about…what happened…” he glanced at me.

Aunt Sora regarded Jongin with a bright look in her eyes. “Of course, my dear.” she told Jongin happily and then she looked at me. “I told you he’s a nice guy.” she said, loud enough for Jongin to hear. “Alright! I’ll leave you two, then! Oh! Hana, I almost forgot! Young Soo’s at the Kid Section, okay?” she said as she clapped her hands and then she wheeled around.

“Young Soo?” Jongin chimed in, as soon as Aunt Sora closed her office’s door.

“My little brother.” I answered. “You, on the other hand, owe me an explanation.”

“I know.” he said sheepishly.

“Hana!”

Even before I could turn around, little arms wrapped around my waist. “Hey, Youngie!” I greeted him, turning around to face my little brother. “How’s your day?”

“Er, great.” he said and then his eyes fell on Jongin. “Who is he?” he asked.

I turned to Jongin who suddenly seemed surprised. “Uh, I’m Kim Jongin.” he said, clearing his throat afterw
