My name is Mami Sasazaki. In my whole life, all I have experienced were lies and betrayal. It forces me to hide. It forces me to lock everything important away. All I ever wanted and all I ever needed was someone or something to lean on and always be by my side, to listen to my words of despair and help me move forward.

'Depending on the environment, cherry blossoms across Japan will bloom at different times. I still remember the exact time my cherry blossom tree would bloom; one month and three days after the first day of spring. On that day, every single bud would open up, and the tree would look like a place from heaven, and the tiny, pink angels from heaven would slowly flutter to the ground. My whole world would be in full bloom just like the tree and my problems would simply float away into the soft breeze that accompanied the beautiful scene.'

Everyone she loves have betrayed her: her friend, her siblings and even her parents. They all left her, deserted her in their old, rickety house. Those were the same parents that once held her lovingly in their arms when she was born, whispering: 'I love you.' 

That was before she had everyone betrayed her. After that, she lived each day like a nightmare. 

Lies, they were everywhere. Lies, rumours and tales spread like wildfire about her. Once she trusted someone, they would turn their back on her. No one would look at her like she was a normal person. She was the odd one out, the image ruiner of the 'peaceful' society, the wilted blossom among the normal cherry blossoms.
