Let the Snow Fall While I Fall For You

Perfectly Imbalanced

A/N: BEFORE ANYTHING ELSE YES I PURPOSELY WANTED TO UPDATE BEFORE CHRISTMAS MWAHAHAHA ILY <3

This would’ve been fun if they were playing a relay game or pass the message or whatsoever game but right now, the game they’re playing is hunt and kill.

KILL ‘EM LIARSSSS. RAWRRRR.

Author, you tried.

Sorry.

So, they have their fangs and claws ready on the field in 3…2…1—

“DID YOU LEAK THAT INFORMATION ABOUT MY ADOPTION?”

“WHAT? NO!”

Luhan leaned closer to Baekhyun. “BAEKHYUN, LISTEN TO ME—“

“LUHAN DID!”

“I—“ Luhan turned to Sehun with a confused face. “I did what?”

“KAI! WHY DID YOU APPROVE THAT INVITATION?”

“Look, I can’t talk about that right now—“

Chanyeol grabbed Kai’s collar then. “THIS IS MY COMPANY AT STAKE HERE. I’M THE BOSS.”

“OH YEAH? THEN TRY GOING TO WORK THEN, DAMMIT.”

“I’M THE BOSS. I GET THE FINAL SAY.”

“Wait, guys—“

“I DID NOT LEAK THAT INFORMATION!”

“THEN WHO DID?!”

“KAI DO NOT DISRESPECT ME!”

“Guys—“

“I COME HERE TO APOLOGIZE TO BAEKHYUN AND HERE YOU ARE ACCUSING ME OF—“

“WHAT WOULD YOU HAVE DONE FOR YOUR COMPANY THEN?!”

“ANYTHING BUT THAT BANQUET! OF ALL THE TIMES YOU CHOOSE TO SCREW UP—“

“GUYS! SHUT THE UP! SERIOUSLY!”

They all stopped and then turned to Baekhyun in unison, the brunette breathing hard after releasing too much energy on that yell. After a few seconds, he lifted his head up, inhaling deeply in the process and then opened his mouth to talk. “Hyomin leaked the information.”

“Hyomin?”

“Oh, so you do have something to do with it.”

“WHAT?” Baekhyun snarled at Sehun. “SEHUN YOU ARE SERIOUSLY PISSING ME OFF RIGHT NOW. IF YOU HAVE TRUST ISSUES, GET THE OUTTA HERE. YOU THINK THIS IS ALL ABOUT YOU AND YOUR MISERY? WELL, GUESS WHAT? THERE ARE MORE PEOPLE WHO HAVE IT WORSE THAN YOU.”

That shut Sehun up, for sure.

“Uh, Baek—“ Baekhyun held a hand up at Luhan.

“TELL HIM SEHUN.”

Luhan was confused for a moment until Sehun started talking.

“Luhan, I broke the vase.”

Luhan blinked. “You—what? YOU BROKE MY VASE?”

“I’m sorry—“

“I wouldn’t have gotten mad if you just told me the truth—UGH! GODDAMNIT!” Luhan stomped his feet and then ran away. Sehun hesitated for a bit until Baekhyun glared at him before following the blue haired Peter Pan.

Now, the only people left are Kai and Chanyeol.

“So…this Hyomin…Hyomin from SMA?” Kai asked.

Baekhyun nodded. “She’s also an intern at Inside.”

“.”

“Who cares?” Chanyeol interrupted. “My company is more important here. If you don’t—“

“MY PROBLEM IS MORE IMPORTANT HERE BECAUSE IF THIS GETS OUT OF HAND, YOU CAN SAY GOODBYE TO YOUR INVESTORS AND YOUR COMPANY BECAUSE YOU HAVE ME AS THE VICE PRESIDENT.” Kai finally really snapped.

“He’s right,” Baekhyun chimed. Chanyeol looked away.

Kai turned back to Baekhyun then. “Where’s Hyomin?”

Baekhyun looked around. “She was here awhile ago.”

“I guess I’ll just find her.” Kai mumbled and then started walking away.

Baekhyun actually wanted to tag along because he doesn’t want to be left alone with Chanyeol but…you can’t possibly leave Chanyeol here when he looked like a kicked puppy, pouting to the floor, like the floor can grant him mercy. Baekhyun sighed, and so Chanyeol looked up at him.

“Sorry,” Chanyeol murmured. “It got pretty crazy. I’m really sorry—“

“Chanyeol.”

“—I mean, it’s just that it’s the company, our business and—“

“Chanyeol.”

“—I’m messing up a lot of things right now, I don’t know why but—“

“Chanyeol.”

“—I’m just really sorry I didn’t want you to see this side of me—“

Baekhyun sighed, watching Chanyeol talk and talk and talk although none of it even registers in his mind. He watched as Chanyeol’s mouth continued to close and open and close and opens again. He watched as Chanyeol’s sweat started dripping to his jaw. He watched as Chanyeol’s hands make the signs for him. And then he realized that no matter how many times he calls his name, Chanyeol wouldn’t hear him.

So, he walked closer, leaned forward, tiptoed and pulled Chanyeol into a tight embrace, his arms around Chanyeol’s neck. Chanyeol stopped talking and froze. “Baek, what are you—“

“Shh.” Baekhyun murmured behind Chanyeol’s neck. “When I was a kid, I always cried. My mom knew no matter what she says to cheer me up, I won’t hear her due to the loudness of my cries. She would hug me, like this, to make me feel that she’s there. And then I would stop crying and hug her back and we stay like that for minutes.”

“Baek—“

“Shut up,” Baekhyun barked. “It’s nice to shut up for a while, isn’t it?”

Chanyeol thinks for a moment.

“Sometimes, 80% of the problems we have we made ourselves,” Baekhyun whispered. “So maybe if we shut up, stop talking for awhile, stop doing uncertain things, careless things, those problems might go away right?”

Chanyeol nodded.

This goes for the both of them.

Baekhyun wanted to say sorry. He wanted to stop talking, stop thinking, stop doing careless things but he can’t, because Chanyeol is there, and Chanyeol is even worse than him. But he wanted to say sorry nonetheless. He knew he’s the jerk one. He’s the one creating his own problems.

Because Chanyeol being there wasn’t the problem.

It was Baekhyun himself.

He was trying to avoid something he doesn’t even know what.

So it led to this.

“Can I talk now?” Chanyeol asked with his deep honey-like voice.

Baekhyun chuckled and nodded, tickling Chanyeol when his hair brushed against his neck.

Chanyeol cleared his throat. “Why won’t you talk to me?”

Exactly.

Why.

“What are you talking about? You’re the one who doesn’t want to talk to me.”

Chanyeol thought he can just refrain from talking right now.  He didn’t know hugging someone can be this comforting. Actually, he knew, but he never knew hugging Baekhyun like this can be so comforting. His scent, his soft air, his small arms hanging around his neck and the way the brunette just fits into his arms. It almost felt like he longed for this but he isn’t sure why.

Chanyeol snorted. “Yeah, right. You even went with Kai that day instead of sitting down to eat with us.”

“Kai is cool.”

“I can’t believe you’re saying this right now.”

Baekhyun only hummed nonchalantly. “Where is Kai, by the way?”

--

“Do you want a slow painful death or a fast painless death?” Kai asked Hyomin, huffing, after 30 minutes of running and chasing because apparently Alice in Wonderland was trained to run. He finally cornered the down the hallway. “Or both?”

“You’re overreacting.”

“Say that to the mirror.” Kai shot. “If you think you’re gonna get away with this, you’re wrong. I’ll make your life miserable. This was none of your business.

--

Chanyeol was breathing in the scent of Baekhyun’s hair shampoo (of course, not too much or Baekhyun will notice he was sniffing him) when something behind the latter caught his attention. His eyes widened when Baekhyun’s tail started moving. Not just moving but—oh my god.

“Baekhyun,” Chanyeol murmured stiffly. “Your tail’s wagging.”

That sounds so wrong in many ways.

One is that Baekhyun’s is not a freaking cat.

Baekhyun’s eyebrows crooked in confusion. “What? What are you talking about?”

“I’m not kidding. Your ing tail is wagging.” Chanyeol said as he followed the tail with his eyes, moving from left to right and back.

Baekhyun rolled his eyes, breaking the hug to look at Chanyeol. “You’re an idiot.”

“I’m telling you, you’re tail’s wag—“

“Maybe you drank too much—“

Chanyeol groaned, slightly annoyed, that he had no choice but to push Baekhyun’s face gently into a direction that enables him to see from behind him and to see his freaking tail wagging. Baekhyun gaped and immediately jumped back in shock.

There was a tiny living creature dressed in an elf suit, sporting pig tails, grinning widely with her little arms reaching up in the air. “KITTY!”

“Who’s this kid?” Baekhyun asked, staring at the little girl in confusion. It took a few minutes before Chanyeol realized that the little girl was playing with Baekhyun’s tail from behind. The little girl ran to Baekhyun and stopped when her palms reached his knee. Baekhyun immediately knelt down and took the little girl’s hand. “Hi there. What’s your name?”

The little girl tilted his head (wherein Chanyeol unconsciously imitated the action, looking like a complete idiot with his large head hanging to the side).

“Kitty…” The little purred.

“Your name’s Kitty?”

The little girl shook his head and then pointed at Baekhyun. “Kitty!”

“Me? Kitty?”

Baekhyun can hear Chanyeol snorting so clear he made a mental note to decapitate the giraffe after the party. He looked up at Chanyeol. “Do you know here?”

“Nope,” Chanyeol replied with a slight shrug.

Baekhyun looked back at the little girl. “Hey, is your mother here?” The little girl nodded. Baekhyun turned to Chanyeol. “Her mother’s here.”

“I heard.” Chanyeol replied sarcastically. Baekhyun rolled his eyes.

The sudden cracking sound of the speakers from the microphone made the two turn to the mini stage set up. Yunho was standing behind the podium with a bottle of vodka on hand. “How’s everyone tonight?” He didn’t seem that drunk though.

The crowd cheered after him. “To officially start this party, I want to take all of you for coming here, especially to those who don’t know me.”

Baekhyun wasn’t sure if he was imagining it but he saw Yunho glace at him after the said statement, as if directing it to him. He couldn’t entirely miss the gesture but he missed Chanyeol’s protective glare.

“And as a tradition…we will once again have fun with the greatest game of the planet!” Then came a thundering sound that Baekhyun had to question the essence of it but he shrugged it off and turned to Chanyeol with a question mark on his head instead.

“What’s the greatest game of the planet?”

“Just wait.” Chanyeol answered with a grin.

“For the lovely newcomers, I shall explain the nature of the game myself.” Yunho fished a sort of small paper from his pocket. “So…uh…as we all know, the nature of this game is who gets the most stickers from the stops in the given time. Now, we wouldn’t want this to sound so easy. Tonight, we have changed the members incharged of the stops.”

Baekhyun can hear disoriented gasps and whispers of confusement around him (not that he completely understands what it was about). He almost convinced himself that all these elites do when they throw a party is play a game. Too bad, he used to be elite himself and no, when he threw a party, he did not invent a game. Maybe it was a matter of cultural preferences. Then again, wherever you came from when you’re an Elite, you’re the same as every other rich bastards over the world who have enough money to use distilled water to bathe. Not that he used distilled water to bathe before.

“J?”

Chanyeol’s ears twitched at the familiar voice coming from the depths of hell slash beside him. He turned in reflex and prayed that the voice did not come from someone he thinks it did. Unfortunately, the gods or the heavens don’t seem to be ever on his side.

Walking out from the crowd is his older sister, a person he wanted to see the least at this period of time, the person who introduced him to the world of purples and pinks, the person who has deviance as her past time, Park Gyuri.

“Oh boy.”

“Well well well, look who I found.” Gyuri said with a smirk.

If Chanyeol was evil, Gyuri is a whole new level of evil.

“Mommy!”

Baekhyun yelped when the little girl suddenly ran away. Then he remembered he heard Chanyeol talking to someone while Yunho continued talking. He turned to them, in awe when his gaze fell on Gyuri. With a beauty of a Goddess, hair tied behind, a read feather as her hairdress, white pearls decorating her neck, and a crimson red off shoulder dress to complete the look; absolutely stunning.

“Anna Karenina,” Baekhyun breathed unconsciously, catching Gyuri’s attention.

“Impressive.” Gyuri said with a smile, impressed that a guy was able to determine her costume for the night. The lovely Anna Karenina. “Who’s your new friend?” She asked Chanyeol.

Who the hell cares when a little girl suddenly called your sister “MOMMY?”

Gyuri rolled her eyes. “Why are you so surprised? This is my daughter, Jiyoung.”

“YOUR DAUGHTER?!” Chanyeol yelled in surprised, earning a light slap on the hand from Baekhyun for being noisy. “Since when? Are you even married? And I thought you were supposed to come home next week?”

“Since a year ago. And no I am not married but,” Gyuri held her hand up, revealing her 20-karat gold engagement ring. “I’m engaged.”

Chanyeol’s jaw dropped because the last time he checked, her sister was lesbian…and was blonde. “Weren’t you blonde the last time I saw you?”

“That was 2 years ago.” Gyuri shot. “And Anna Karenina is not blonde.” Still, it amuses Gyuri that her brother never changed a bit, although he looked a little relaxed now. She was happy seeing her brother like this. “And yes, people change, I married a man,” She continued as a-matter-of-factly. “I see you have too. Where’s your fiancé?”

“She’s…” Chanyeol glanced at Baekhyun. “Um…back in her home, fixing things. She’ll be moving n my house after a few days.”

“Great!” Gyuri clapped her hands. “I can’t wait to meet her!”

Chanyeol laughed awkwardly. “She can’t wait to meet her too.”

Baekhyun took a step back seeing as he wasn’t needed he thought he should escape or if possible, magically disappear than standing there awkwardly.

“Kitty!”

Right, of course Jiyoung would.

“Aww, she likes you. What’s your name?” Gyuri asked nicely.

“Baekhyun. Byun Baekhyun,” Baekhyun replied with a small smile.

“With that, let’s start the game!”

“Well, I’ll see you guys after the game.” Gyuri held Jiyoung’s hand. “Ciao.” And then walked away.

Baekhyun watched her go, impressed by the amount of ual appeal she has. “She’s your sister?”

“Why do I feel like I’m about to hear something offensive?”

“She’s so gorgeous…and classy.”

“Yeah I know I’m not.”

“I didn’t say anything.”

“You were implying.”

“It’s good to be honest about yourself.”

“Your opinion wounds me.”

“You wounded yourself, idiot.”

The crowd started gathering at the door. Seeing as the game was about to start and knowing that it gets pretty violent during that time, he held on to Baekhyun’s hand and pulled him to close to the crowd. Baekhyun didn’t protest (well, because he didn’t have the chance to) so he just stared at their linked hands, trying to think whether he should pull his hand back and scold Chanyeol or just let it be since it doesn’t look like  Chanyeol has some ill intentions. Besides, it would be really unreasonable to make a scene when they’re surrounded by people.

“Um,” Baekhyun croaked. He decided it would be best to do something to distract him from the warmth of Chanyeol’s hand on his. “I really wasn’t able to listen to the instructions but how do you play this game?”

Chanyeol smiled at him, probably relieved that he didn’t scold him about the sudden gesture. “It’s simple. Were given some kind of paper with circles in it, 10 I presume. You need to find all the stops so they can give you a sticker. There’s a time limit, by the way, 30 minutes. Whoever arrives first with complete stickers wins.”

Baekhyun nodded when he finally understood. “Do you always play games when you host a party?”

Chanyeol let go of his hand to ruffle his hair. “This is the only chance we get to play.”

Baekhyun was pouting angrily and trying to fix his hair when he realized something was wrong with Chanyeol’s statement. He looked up at him, hands still on his hair. “Yeah, I was never able to play when I was a kid, so are most of the people here. We’re not always lucky to be born like this, you know?” Chanyeol continued with a sad smile. Baekhyun suddenly symphatizes with him. He was not born rich so he doesn’t know the feeling of being denied with childhood freedom but he has seen a lot of kids forced to act along with their parents’ wish and getting stuck with their impressions and rules. Imagining Chanyeol as a child, longing for something fun, hurts him as well. There are so many things he doesn’t know about him yet he’s always so mean to him.

I DIDN’T MEAN IIIIITTTT.

He snapped when someone walked over to give him the paper. The paper was pink, with a skulls and bones around it, and he chuckled softly because it wasn’t what he expected. The door opened and the people started running at the same time, startling him and Chanyeol. He looked around and cursed mentally when he got pushed around violently. “Baekhyun!”

He heard Chanyeol and then he realized that he wasn’t holding him anymore. He got pushed to the left even more by people trying to get inside first while Chanyeol got pushed to the right. He couldn’t breathe properly, nor move, that he was forced to meddle along with the crowd’s direction until he reached inside and the people started to disppaear little by little. He was finally able to move his limbs and the first thing he did was stretch his arms wherein he accidentally hit a lady. He panicked when the lady fell down with her nose bleeding so he ran away as fast as he could, praying that no surveillance camera caught his act of crime. He stopped at the intersection of the hallways to catch his breath and noticed that there was no one around him and thought that maybe they all went first.

“Whoever thought of this stupid game should die,”

“Be careful of what you say,”

Baekhyun looked around, eyes widening in horror when he heard a voice from somewhere, even creepier was that there was no one around him.

“Right here,”

He stopped at a picture frame, a huge one, wherein there was a photo of a little guy sitting on a chair, hands placed on his lap, and his lips crooking into a smile—what the . “WAAHHHH!”

“Did you have to yell?”

“Y-YOU CAN TALK! YOU CAN MOVE!”

“Well, that’s because this is an LED screen.”

“…HUH?”

“Wow, you’re dumb. A screen hello?”

“WHO ARE YOU?!”

“I’m Yunho’s younger brother, Yuan.” Yuan said while hopping down from his chair.

“You’re creepy.”

“That’s no way to talk to a child!” Yuan yelled. “Besides, you’re lucky you found me. I have two stickers,”

“Why do you have two stickers?”

“One of the guys assigned to one of the spots couldn’t make it so I offered. I can give two to you, you know.”

“…thanks.”

Yuan glared at him. “Of course you have to do what I tell you to do.”

Baekhyun thought for a moment.

So, this kid is giving me two stickers in only one condition. That’s a good bargain. Besides, he’s a kid, what does he know? This wouldn’t be so hard.

“Alright,” Baekhyun smirked. “Shoot,”

“It’s simple. You only have to answer a riddle,”

Baekhyun blinked. “A riddle?”

Yuan disappeared from the screen for a while. Baekhyun can hear drawers being opened and then suddenly Yuan was back on the screen, holding a sketch pad. He walked closer to the camera and showed him a picture.

“As you can see in this picture, this is an island, these are the trees and there’s a person standing there. Why was he standing there? Well, the plane he was piloting crashed so he used a parachute to escape and ended up in this island. Now, the island is this high from the water. Suddenly, a lightning and this part of the forest got caught up in the fire. Sooner or later, the whole forest is going to be engulfed in fire. What should the pilot do to save himself?”

“Jump off the cliff.”

“WHY DO YOU ANSWER SO FAST?” Yuan sighed in exasperation. “If he did, he’s still going to die because he’ll drown.”

“Then he’ll swim.”

“He can’t swim.” Yuan replied. “I’ll give you five more chances.”

“He’ll…dig on the ground.”

“He can’t. The ground’s made up of diamonds.”

“You didn’t say it was—“

“Now I said it.”

THIS BRAT.

“Then he’ll cut the trees.”

“What? He’s going to use his teeth?”

Baekhyun groaned.

“Three left.” Yuan announced while checking his nails.

“Uh…thunder right? Ah! Rain comes after thunder! So, the rain stopped the fire!”

“The rain’s gone.”

“What do you mean the rain’s gone? You can’t possible create a thunder in day light.”

“No, I mean it was raining when the lightning , now the rain’s gone.”

“You didn’t say—“

“Now I said it.”

THIS FILTHY LITTLE BRAT.

“Two more.” Yuan said, followed by a yawn.

Baekhyun clawed his hair, trying to force his brain to think. He’s smart but Yuan’s attitude just annoys him so much the only thing he can think about was his death…even though Yuan’s a kid. Yeah.

He’s always been good with kids…but certainly not with stubborn rich spoiled brats like this one.

He tapped his toe while thinking, staring at the picture as if an answer will appear there. He hopes.

“Okay, if you’re going to take too long, you’re gonna lose.”

“But then the others would yet to find you to complete the ten.”

“The one who got the most stickers can still win.”

Baekhyun groaned. “Fine. The pilot will use his parachute.”

“The parachute fell on the water.”

Baekhyun gaped. “You didn’t—uh, nevermind.” He massaged his temple, figuring that there was no point in arguing with this kid, with this stupid stubborn brat. He’s even more stubborn and bratty than Chanyeol. He can’t even handle Chanyeol without freaking out, how much more this kid?

But then he’s got enough of playing with him.

He smirked and crossed his arms. “He made a torch with the fire and burned the other side of the forest. That way the fire will disappear because there are no trees left.”

BOO-YAH!

Yuan gasped. “What…are you even sure that that’s the answer?”

“Kid, you’re talking to a 20-year old adult who graduated from Harvard. Now, hand over the stickers.”

Yuan pouted angrily. “FINE.”

Baekhyun heard something open from beside the frame and and turned to look at a door slowly opening. Yuan walked out with a grumpy face and stepped on Baekhyun’s foot. “AW! WHAT WAS THAT FOR?!”

“Hyung is mean!” Yuan stuck a tongue out on him.

“I wouldn’t be mean if you were cute.” Baekhyun stuck a tongue back and snatched the skull stickers from the kid. “You’re so tiny yet you want to pick a fight with me.”

“I know hapkido.”

“Too bad, I know hapkido too.”

“Liar.”

“You wanna have a go?” Baekhyun scanned him from head to toe. “Hmm…come to think of it, I won’t even need hapkido to teach you a lesson.”

“Now you’re being a jerk.”

“Oy, didn’t your mother teach you manners?” Baekhyun asked while aggressively pinching Yuan’s cheeks.

Yuan backed away from him immediately. “Psh. Who need manners when you’ve got money?”

Baekhyun gaped. “You’re still a kid and you can talk like that? Who taught you to be like that?”

“Yunho-hyung. Yunho-hyung’s really cool!”

Baekhyun’s shoulder went down into a bum. “Yunho? The socialite? Are you gonna grow up and be a socialite too?”

“Why? It’s fun!”

“Oh god…”

Kids these days…

--

Chanyeol whistled to a tune while casually walking through the hallways, his paper already filled with seven stickers.

Piece of cake.

With his intelligence and wit, he can finish this game with a blink of an eye.

Okay, maybe a little bit of bribery too.

You can’t blame him. He’s never won this game before.

I wonder what happened to Baekhyun…

Meh. He’ll be fine. He’ll scare the others with his big mouth.

“Hey, boy,”

Chanyeol stopped walking. There was a macho blond guy standing right in front of him. A macho blond guy. A macho—yeah you get the point. If this was a movie, macho guy would probably pick a fight with him and if he survived, he’ll give the stickers right? But…um…

I don’t think he wants to pick a fight though…

Let the blush on macho guy’s face explain.

“Myyy, aren’t you a cutieeeee?” Macho guy crooned, sending shivers down Chanyeol’s spine.

“Um, I really don’t have time to—“

“I know, boy, I know. Which is why…I’ll give you this sticker in a very easy condition.”

Chanyeol’s face lit up. “Bring it.”

“KISS ME.”

So he ended up punching macho guy and snatching the stickers.

--

“Why do I have to go with you?”

Baekhyun sighed and glanced at Yuan who was forced to walk with him because he grabbed his hands and dragged him because ‘someone needs to teach you a lesson’. No, not the harsh way of course. Is conscience just can’t take seeing the kid grow up like that. That will get him nowhere. Yep.

“You do know that you’re going to lose if you keep on dragging me along right?”

“I’m not really hyped up about winning.”

Yuan blinked at him. “Are you not from here?”

Baekhyun shrugged. “I moved in last month.”

“Oh, then you’re lucky. Do you know what the prize is?” Baekhyun shook his head. “Lambhorgini.”

“They’ll go to such trouble for a car? They’re rich. They can probably buy loads of it.”

“You don’t understand elites and their prides.”

Oh I understand alright…

Baekhyun sighed heavily. “Still, I believe that you need to stay humble. You’re still a kid. There are a lot of things you don’t know yet and you shouldn’t rush. You might miss your childhood when you grow up. I know someone who didn’t have one. Now he misses being a child.”

“I’m not rushing!”

Baekhyun kneeled down in front of him and ruffled his hair. He fished out a lollipop from his pocket and as expected, Yuan lit up at the sight of the lollipop on his hands. “You want this?”

Yuan looked away. “Nope. I can buy loads of it if I want.”

“I can give this to you for free. I can give you a lot more for free.” Baekhyun smiled at him.

Yuan looked back at him in disbelief. “For free? You’re lying. My brother said everything has a cost. You can’t just give someone something for free. You bought that didn’t you?”

Baekhyun snarled and shrugged. “Yeah, I bought this, but I’m giving it to you for free. It’s not just always about the money. The thought counts more. You don’t have to buy it from me because I want to give it to you and I’m not asking for anything in return.”

“You’re not?” Yuan blinked.

“The best things in life are free.” Baekhyun chuckled and ruffled his hair again. “You understand? Here. If you want more, I can give you more.”

Yuan took the lollipop though Baekhyun can see how hesitant he was. Anyway, what runs in Baekhyun’s mind right now is how to deal with Yunho. It’s not right to teach a kid those things. If he could, he would keep Yuan but uh…that’s out of the question.

The door beside them opened and they both turn in unison.

“Yuan,”

Baekhyun stared at Yunho who was standing in the middle of the doorway, arms crossed to his chest. “Go back to your room,”

“But hyung—“

“Go back to your room, Yuan,”

Yuan bowed to Baekhyun before running away. Baekhyun rolled his eyes. Oh, he knows this type. The bossy and arrogant type. He stood up and turned to Yunho.

“Hey, you’re the first person to arrive here.” Yunho said.

Baekhyun’s eyebrows crooked in confusion. “Eh? But the others ran first.”

“It’s hard to find my spot, you see. Yuan might have purposely led you here. That kid.” Yunho mumbled while walking inside. Baekhyun followed close behind him.

Baekhyun stood at the middle of the room while Yunho sat on the couch. The room was big, well it was expected since they’re bloody rich. But, it was almost empty. There’s nothing inside the room, only a study table, a couch and one bookshelf. Other than that, it ticks him how Yunho is casually sitting there while he stands there.

“You do know that my sticker is worth 10 stickers right?”

“Uh…is that so? I’m not really into this game.”

“As I expected since it’s your first time. How many stickers do you have so far?”

“…two.”

“You got it from Yuan didn’t you?” Yunho laughed.

YEAH LAUGH ALL YOU WANT.

“Anyway, if I give you my sticker, you’ll win for sure.”

“Well…I’m not really looking forward to winning—“

“BUT! In one condition,”

“…again?”

“You only need to drink that.”

Baekhyun looked at the glass on the table. “Okay.”

“Huh? You’re not going to refuse or something?”

“Why would I? I only need to drink then I can go with the sticker and win.”

Yunho sighed. This was obviously not in his plan. He expected Baekhyun to be more…thrilling. Well, he can always make this more thrilling. He scanned Baekhyun from head to toe. The model sure is a big catch. From that face, that gorgeous neckline, down to that glorious legs. Thrilling huh.

“I changed my mind,”

Baekhyun gaped. “That’s not fair.”

“I made this game.”

“Pshhh. What now?”

“I want you to…” Yunho traced his jawline down to his neck, resisting his lips. “Strip.”

“Ahh…is that—WHAT?! STRIP?! WHAT DO YOU MEAN STRIP?!”

“Strip as in take your clothes off. Oh and do a for me too.”

“ARE YOU CRAZY?! DO I LOOK LIKE A STRIPPER?!”

“No. But you’ll look prettier without your clothes on.”

“ERT! WHATEVER! I’M NOT GOING STRIP! NOT FOR YOU!”

“Feisty, eh?” Yunho stood up and walked to him slowly. Baekhyun immediately started taking steps back to avoid Yunho. “I like that. It’s hot.”

“W-what are you doing? Are you insane?!”

“If I am I would’ve already pinned you down and kissed you hard.” Baekhyun blushed. “But I still have a bit of sanity left inside me. You’re quite interesting, you know that?”

Baekhyun gulped when he felt wood behind him. He was obviously trapped. “Y-ya!”

Yunho smirked and placed his hands on each side. “Are you going to strip or do you want me to take off your clothes instead?”

Baekhyun’s eyes widened. “W-WHAT?! NEVER! I don’t care about winning anyway! I’m leaving!” He pushed Yunho away and dashed for the door, which, as he slightly expected, is locked. “Damn it.”

Yunho groaned. “You’re so troublesome.”

“Well then, let me out, it could save you from any trouble.”

“You say you’re not after winning.” Yunho leaned on the wall and observed Baekhyun. “But I’m sure there’s something you really want?”

Baekhyun paused. “What of it?”

“I might be able to help you, you know. I mean, what do you want? Money? A house? A TV?”

Baekhyun suddenly thought of Luhan who badly wants a TV.

But then, there’s something else Baekhyun wants and it certainly doesn’t involve any TV nor money. But then…the stripping. “No matter how much I want something, I am never ever going to strip for you. YOU HEAR ME? OVER MY DEAD BODY!”

Yunho is this close to breaking loose. But he still have an ace. “Fine. I won’t make you strip. I want you to drink that though, Deal?”

“Deal.”

“So, what is it you want?”

“I want you,” Baekhyun inhaled. “TO START EDUCATING YOUR BROTHER PROPERLY.”

“Psh. Piece of ca—WHAT? What do you mean start educating him properly?”

“You’re setting a very bad example for him right now. He’s a child, for Pete’s sake! Teach him things a child must understand. He’s so cocky and arrogant and clueless about life…”

“Some kids are like that.”

“Yeah because they were raised wrongly.”

“Well, what do you know? Our parents aren’t always here. You tell that to them!”

“But you’re the guardian and the big brother! You can at least act as one!” Baekhyun stomped his feet. “Look, I don’t intened to meddle with your personal lives but…”

“Fine.”

“Huh?” Baekhyun blinked.

“I’ll do what you say. Now…drink that.”

Baekhyun squinted.

This looks suspicious…

Well, it’s another good bargain.

I mean, in exchange for Yuan’s better childhood, I only have to drink that.

What harm would a normal drink do?

“Well…?” Yunho asked, glancing on his watch while tapping his foot.

“A deal is a deal, okay?” Baekhyun asked. When Yunho confirmed with a nod, he took the glass and drank it in one go. It tasted a bit odd but it was bearable. He placed the glass back on the table after he was done. “I’m done…”

Huh?

What the…

Baekhyun leaned on the table at the first sign of nausea…kind of. He was feeling rather odd, hot even. His eyesight was starting to blur too. But mostly he was feeling hot. He coughed and sniffed like he was trying to get rid of something on his throat. “I feel…odd…”

“How odd?” Yunho whispered, hot breathe tingling on his ear. The approximity shocked Baekhyun but he couldn’t seem to react properly to justify his emotions. “Do you feel good?” Yunho asked, hands slowly making its way under Baekhyun’s black shirt.

“I don’t…ah.” Baekhyun covered his mouth when he made a weird sound.

WHAT.

WHAT THE HELL IS HAPPENING?!

BODY, YOU DARE DEFY ME?!

Baekhyun bit his lip when he felt a tongue on his ear to avoid making any more weird sounds.

GODDAMNIT!

I’M GONNA KILL THIS ERT!

“Stop…” Baekhyun breathed, his hands trying to slap away Yunho’s but are seem to be getting weaker. “Yunho…stop…let go…” Yunho’s hands are travelling down his thigh and no, nobody has touched him down there and no way in hell is he going to let this ert toy with him…or his body. NO.

“I said stop…”

Yunho bit his neck.

Baekhyun moaned in pain.

YOU DARE BITE ME?!

“I said…stop…” Baekhyun felt so helpless and assaulted. Whatever happened to his body…either way he needs to get out of here. There’s only one person who can help and he’s that person is not even here. But he needs to get out and escape or else this ert is going to keep on molesting him.

Other than that…Yunho’s hands are this close to his…thing…and…

UGHH SCREW YOU!!!

He inhaled deeply.

“PARK CHANYEOOOLLLL!!!!”

It all happened so fast.

He saw Chanyeol pulling Yunho away from him and then punching him next. Yunho stumbled down to the floor with his lips bleeding.

And…

He has never seen Chanyeol look like that.

Yeah, he gets pissed a lot.

But not mad.

“WHAT THE .” Yunho groaned. “WHAT THE HELL DO YOU THINK YOU’RE DOING?!”

“WHY DON’T YOU ASK THAT TO YOURSELF?!”

Baekhyun turned to the door and found Yuan standing on the doorway. “Yuan…ah.” He fell on his knees. He feels a lot worse now, not hot…but…

Oh .

He unconsciously ed his shirt, startling Chanyeol. “Baek?” The taller asked while kneeling in front of him.

I feel…

“Baek, what are you doing?” He hears Chanyeol ask while grabbing his hands from ing his shirt.

Baekhyun grabbed on to Chanyeol’s collar and started kissing his neck. Chanyeol froze. “H-hey, what are you doing? Baek?”

“So the drug is taking effect huh…took it long enough.” Yunho murmured with a chuckle.

Chanyeol pushed Baekhyun away softly then turned to Yunho. “You drugged him?!”

Baekhyun moaned slightly. “Chanyeol…I feel weird…”

“Goddamnit! You! Don’t you dare lay a finger on him again!” Chanyeol yelled to Yunho. Then he carried Baekhyun from the floor bridal style and walked to the door, smiling to Yuan for leading him. He met the kid earlier when he was looking for Baekhyun and he was lucky enough the kid seems to be fond of Baekhyun (however that happened).

He took the shortcut outside to avoid people and ran to his car. “Chanyeol…” Baekhyun moaned close to his hear.

This is bad. Chanyeol thought. I’m getting hard. Damn it, Baekhyun.

“Can you stand?” He asked the brunette. “I need to find my keys.”

“I’ll find it for you…” Baekhyun said while his lips.

“O…kay.” Chanyeol made him stand on the ground, albeit the brunette was limping like a drunkard. “Stay there. I’m going to look for my keys.” He quickly rummaged through his almost non-existent pockets. When he finally fished his key out, he turned back to Baekhyun who was…nowhere. “WHAT. HE WAS HERE A WHILE AGO—“

“WHAT?! YOU WANT TO PICK A FIGHT WITH ME?!”

Chanyeol turned to where the familiar yell was coming from. He saw Baekhyun standing in front of a light post, pouting angrily at it.

“ALRIGHT! BRING IT ON! YOU WANT SOME OF THIS?!” Baekhyun showed his fist.

“YOU WANT SOME?”

“Oh god…” Chanyeol ran to him immediately. “Baek, calm down, Baek—“

“HE’S PROVOKING ME!”

“Baek, that’s a light post—“

“YOU STILL WON’T MOVE? HUH? YOU THINK YOU’RE SO TOUGH?!”

“Alright, that’s enough.” Chanyeol carried Baekhyun on his shoulders, wherein the brunette started freaking out.

“PUT ME DOWN! PARK CHANYEOL!”

“Baek, you’re going to disturb the whole neighborhood—“

“WAWAWAWAWAWAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!”

“.” Chanyeol was forced to put him down after Baekhyun yelled on his hear…and we all know Baekhyun’s yell is a deadly weapon. “Baekhyun!”

“HIHIHIHI.” Baekhyun giggled and started running with his arms stretched on each sides, imitating a plane. “I’M FLYING~”

“Baekhyun, come back here!”

Baekhyun kept on running and running and Chanyeol kept on chasing and chasing until one of them trip and fell head first resulting to a possibly broken nose.

It was obvious who it was.

Baekhyun sat up from the fall slowly and sniffed.

“UWAAAAAAA!!!!!!! IT HURTS!!!!! WAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!”

Chanyeol immediately ran and knelt beside him. “Hey, are you okay? Where does it hurt?”

Baekhyun pointed at his nose.

“Alright, alright, shhh…” Chanyeol cupped his face and blew on his face. “We just need to get home so we can treat your wound—“

“NO!” Baekhyun pushed Chanyeol away and started running again. Chanyeol groaned in exasperation and stood up to chase after the brunette.

Baekhyun doesn’t look like he was drugged.

He looked rather drunk.

Chanyeol stopped running and looked around. Now Baekhyun’s missing. “How can he run so fast in that state?” He decided to keep walking though. Baekhyun couldn’t have gotten far. He doesn’t look like he knows this part of Seoul well. He was distracted when the fireworks from Yunho’s crib went out, decorating the sky with colorful lights. But he needed to look for Baekhyun.

He reached the park and he felt rather colder. He heard a tune somewhere close and as expected, he saw Baekhyun standing on top of the slide, humming while watching the fireworks. The view from where he was standing looked marvelous. Baekhyun was…majestic—minus his drugged state, of course.

Chanyeol felt shivers down his spine. The environment was suddenly getting colder. He was fine since he had a cape to somehow keep him war (credit to Dracula) but Baekhyun’s costume…looked like they ran out of cloth while making it. He can’t stay outside of Baekhyun will catch a cold. Though it was a pity to distract him from his solitude, his health is more important.

“Baekhyun!” Chanyeol yelled.

Baekhyun turned to him and his lips slowly formed a big genuine smile, as if he was happy to see Chanyeol, wherein in fact he is. “Chanyeol!” The brunette jumped down from the slide and ran to Chanyeol in full speed, embracing him tightly when he reached him. He giggled cutely when Chanyeol hugged him back.

“Whoa, calm down,”

“I LOVE YOU!”

“…huh?”

“I LOVE CHANYEOL! BAEKHYUN LOVES CHANYEOLLIE!”

Drugged…right.

I mean there was absolutely no way…right?

Chanyeol cleared his throat and broke the hug. Baekhyun was still giggling happily like a kid so he had to restrain himself from hugging the latter again. He took his cape of and wore it around Baekhyun. He looked really cute with that little blush on his cheeks. “Come, let’s go home.”

Chanyeol took Baekhyun’s hand and helt it tightly, trying to provide his cold hands the warmth it needed. Baekhyun was silent beside him, humming to a tune. “Is that a song?”

Baekhyun nodded though not sparing him a glance. “My mother used to sing it to me when I was a kid.”

Chanyeol could stare at his face forever. He would normally never admit this himself but…Baekhyun looks really beautiful…like an angel sent from heaven. That little light coming from the fireworks reflecting on his face made him look even more beautiful.

Baekhyun yawned.

The snow started falling.

He saw the first sign of snow with Baekhyun.

Baekhyun looked up and smiled widely. “It’s snowing!”

Yes, but Chanyeol couldn’t seem to take his eyes away from the latter.

“Look Chanyeol! It’s so pretty!”

Chanyeol smiled.

Yup. So pretty.

Chapter 38: Ok I love this story a lot, if was really funny, but there were so many things which were not discussed, I wished Author wrote all those things also, like how Chanyeol and Kyungsoo started dating, or if they dating at all, when they broke up, Kai and Kyungsoo, also Amanda whereabouts, like Yixing caught her in the beach ( I think, it was not written so who knows), so I really had to assume, I was confused this whole time, and what happened after Chanyeol and Baekhyun went to have breakfast together at the lunch.
I really wished that Author nim mentioned all such things.
But other than that, the story is gold.

Chapter 22: Man, I just got that feeling that Kyungsoo is a psychologist, man my presumptions. I just had that gut feeling, I am also a psychology student, and when Chanyeol and Kyungsoo were together, I just thought maybe Chanyeol needs a councelor.
Well well well, turns out I was true.
I really like when my guesses turns true while reading fics.
