Bernice knocked on the door and waited for Charm to answer, instead of an answer Charm opened the door and met her in the doorway “something you want to ask me?”

Bernice shook her head “ no actually someone send you a package I sign it for you and put it downstairs”

“can you bring it to me, just leave it outside me door it will do” Charm said and closed the door after

The package was like expected without a sender name, she opened it and took out the little black unit and listen to it with a grin

Ray was walking around on the streets without a goal where to do when his phone started to call, without looking at the caller id he answered “ yes”

“Hi Ray, where are you?” Ray looked around “ I’m on the streets”

“ are you alone? What about I come and join you. It was some time ago since we hanged out together”

“Sorry Linda, I have something to do. Next time maybe” Ray lied and hanged up

Still holding the phone while she watched  him heading for the opposite direction “ why do you need to lie to me” she mumble to herself

15:20 pm

Joel rushed into the café where Linda was “ how are you? I came as fast as I could is everything ok with you?” Joel asked with concern

Linda shook her head “ why is Ray doing this to me? If he don’t like me then he can break up with me. Why do he lie to me?” and looked up at Joel with teary eyes

Joel took a seat beside her “ of course he likes you, just that there are so much things that are happening in Cheng Long right now that he can’t find time for you. If he hide it from you is because he doesn’t want you to be worried”

“so why did he say he had something to do when he obviously didn’t?” Linda confronted “ he said he have something to do when he was just walking around the streets without any goal”

Joel shook his head “ I’m sure Ray have his own reason, maybe he did have something to do or he just wanted some time for himself. You know he have a lot of things to handle in Cheng Long every wrong decision he makes can cost lives”

Linda looked up at Joel and nodded with understanding “ you are right, I should have more indulgence for him”

Joel patted her shoulder “ I will find time to talk to him, so now don’t worry about it”

23:30pm Fung’s bar

Ray walked into his office and found Joel seating on the couch waiting for him “ something important?”

Joel walked up to him and looked at him “ where have you been all day?”

“what with that look of you?” Ray asked and walked passed him and seated behind the desk “ I have been checking out our places as usual”

Joel turned around and looked at him with anger “ no wonder Linda think you are lying to her you are even lying to me!”

“what’s all this about, what have I lied about?” Ray said with frustration

Joel walked forward “ you said you was checking out our places as usual but when I called around, non of them have seen you all day!” and slammed his fits on the table

Ray looked up at Joel “ is this just all about where I was all day?”

“ I want to know why you are lying and where you have been!” Joel raised his voice

Ray locked eye’s with Joel “ and when did I need to report to you?”

Joel lowered his head “sorry I didn’t mean that way”

Ray took a deep breath and shook his head “ I know there is something, what’s bothering you?”

Joel nodded and seated “ it’s Linda, she is really worried about your feelings for her. Besides that she think you are hiding something from her. I think it’s time for you to move on with Linda and just forgot about Sheh Zhi wah.
