It have been more then thirty changes and Ray have had short conversation with every of them non of them made special impression on him and now it was time to change again to his surprise it was the beautiful girls time Ray had a feeling that he knew her, she do look alike Charm but he couldn't be sure " so are you working in KCL?" Ray asked.

The girls lightly smile disappeared and her body get rigid when she heard Ray's voice instead of answering she just nodded to his question and kept her gaze down on the floor.

Ray took a closer look at her " Charm?"

She pushed him away and was about to leave when Ray grabbed her wrist and pulled her back just when the music stopped playing.

"boop boop, ladies and gentleman I think you all have a new partner by your side as I said before it's time to put the mask off so you guys can see who each other are. This new partner of yours will be the partner for the last activity for tonight so take your time to know each other. I remove my first" said Patrik and smiled happily

Everyone started to remove the mask expect for Ray and the girl, they was still in the middle of the dance floor without moving " why don't you remove your mask? I already know who you are" Ray said.

Charm turned her head to face Ray and removed her mask" are you satisfied?" and took his hand off her " Charm" Ray called out but she didn't turn around and just walked further away.

Kevin who was standing with his new company excused him and walked up to Charm " it's everything ok with you?" Charm shook her head " I'm not feeling to well you can stay if you want" Kev grabbed her arm " let me take you home"

Ray looked at Kev when he lead Charm out from the ballroom, Linda came up to him " here you are, what are you looking at?" and looked at the same direction but Charm and Kev was already out of no sign " nothing" Ray lied. Linda looked at Ray and then back to the exit "Charm?" she mumble

22:00pm Sheh's mansion

Kev stopped the car in front of the gate " then you have arrived, go home and rest you look pale"

"Thanks for driving me home, I'm sorry that I ruined your evening" said Charm and loosed the belt

" no you didn't I had a great time. Ok go in now and rest" Kev ordered

2008-04-14 1:30 am Lam's mansion

Joel sat in the living room and waited for Ray and Linda to come back from the masquerade " they are still out at this time, seems it's me who  worry to much" and get up from the couch and heading toward the stairs when the main door open

" hey you guys are back, I though of going to bed " said Joel and walked up to them

"Linda wanted to stay till the last dance that's why" said Ray and looked at Linda

With a smiling face Linda responded " well, I didn't have much chance to dance with you tonight. Also the last dance is really important"

Ray had a what ever expression " well, I'm going to sleep you guys can keep going" and went up to his room

"hey Ray.." Linda called out but Ray have already got up and didn't turn around

Joel looked at Linda and then up to Ray who closed the door behind " it's everything fine between you two?"

Linda smiled lightly " yeah, but I have a question do you know who Charm is and what kind of relationship they have?"

Ray laid on the bed and took the necklace from the drawer " is this fate? when I hoped we would bump in to each other it doesn't happen now I see you everywhere" and grabbed the necklace tighter

15:00 pm Sheh's mansion

Bernice open the door " hi, who are you looking for?"

"I'm looking for you master, can you please tell him that lawyer Choi is here" Ada said

Bernice nodded and poured her a cup of tea before telling Kong sok.

Minutes later Bernice came down to the living room " master said you can go upstairs"

Bernice looked around lok djeh and Zhi wah was out, ah sin and jong was out in the garden this was the best time for her. She walked into Zhi wah's room and looked around

"there most be something related to mom, why would she tell me to come here otherwise" mumbled Bernice and rummaged in the files and desk but there where nothing to be found.

Bernice looked up without hope and notice the low chest in the corner of the room and walked to it and was about to rummaged it but heard sound from downstairs and quickly get out from the room what she didn't know was that she accidentally grazed the woodendommy that was place right beside.

" are you already back" said Bernice from upstairs

Zhi wah looked up " yeah I forgot to bring my wallet with me, have we a guest over?"

Bernice nodded " yeah lawyer Choi came by she is in low jeh's room"

Zhi wah nodded and walked pass Bernice and get into her room. She picked up the wallet from the bed and leaved. Bernice was still standing there without moving which Charm though was weird " something you want to ask me?"

"ha? no I was just thinking about something. Have you picked up your wallet?" Bernice answered

Charm nodded " me and lok jeh will be going to the restaurant directly so can you please take grandpahs gift with you when you guys leave?"

"I will do that" said Bernice and was relieved that she didn't notice anything.

2008-04-15 2:30am Sheh's mansion

"it's late now, grandpah go and rest you can chat with ah sok next time" said Charm and tried to break off the conversation between Kong and Yun wah

" yeah, kai jeh go and rest we can talk more tomorrow" said Yun wah in agreement

"ok, ok I listen to my great god son and Choi Long's leader. I go and rest" said Kong and headed to his room

" sorry ah sok for taking your time. It's late you better go home and rest as well" said Charm

Yun wah patted on Charms shoulder "you don't need to apologise I'm happy to see kai jeh so happy. You should rest as well you should be tired after all the preparation"

Charm came out from the bathroom and laid down on the bed " oh I'm exhausted!"and closed her eye's

knock knock " Zhi wah are you still up? can I come in?" Fransic asked

Charm open her eye's and get up " yeah, come in"

" I though you wouldn't fall asleep so soon" said Fransic and walked in

Charm smiled lightly " even if have got to sleep I would wake up because of you kai jeh"

Fransic smiled warmly and joked " I'm happy that I'm so important to you that you can sacrifice your beauty sleep"

Charm hit his arm lightly " stop joking, do you want to chat with your kai nui about something?"

Fransic shook " not really I know that you are exhausted I just wanted to give you this" and took out a leather jacket

Charm looked at Fransic and then to the jacket and back to Fransic " I have tons of leather jacket kai jeh, but I'm happy to get a new one. Thanks"

Fransic shook his head "no look at it"

Charm looked at it carefully and smiled lightly " kai jeh you are so leung (which mean old fashioned) I'm not a child anymore, which daughter have the same jacket model as their father?"

Fransic shook his head " No it wasn't that I told you to look at, it's true is the same model but do you know why I always wear this jacket, it's because of the special design" and took out a small blade from the collar

Charm looked at Fransic with wide eye's " you got a weapon in the jacket? but how come you can travel with it?"

Fransic smiled proudly " that's why I'm one of the top hitman, this jacket doesn't just contain a blade there are much more which can be useful someday. I don't have any valuable things to give you this is what I got"

"thank you kai jeh, this is very valuable for me." said Charm and hugged him

"ok, I don't disturb you anymore, have a good sleep tonight" with that said he leaved the room

Charm got up from the bed and went to her wardrobe to put in the jacket when she notice that  some of the dust on the woodendommy was gone.
