L. Joe:

She ran and hugged me tightly. I was too shocked to react and do anything. What is she doing here? I thought she’ll be coming later this month. Is Uncle also with her? Did dad come too? So many questions were going through my head and I couldn’t decide if I was happy or not.

“Oppa! Wae? What’s wrong? Are you not happy?” she asked.

“Annio, I was just surprised. You came alone?” I asked worriedly.

“Yeah. I wanted to surprise you. Surprise!” she said hugging my arm.

Oh I am surprise. This situation is getting worst and worst. The guys are so not going to be happy about this.

“Krystal-ah, if you came alone then where are you staying?” I asked.

“Hotel, kwenchana Appa prepared everything. Forget about it, now who are they?” she asked turning towards the group.

The guy who came with her was already standing along with them looking at the both of us with raised eyes.

“Well, she is Sohee, my classmates and they are her siblings. Then him I’m not so sure.” I said scratching my neck and avoiding their eyes.

“Hey, I’m Krystal. Nice to meet you all.” She greeted them excitedly.

They all said a small hellos and then it got quiet. It was awkward and nobody spoke a word to break the silence. We all were looking around and fidgeting in our places.

I decided to do everybody a favour and said “So you are Heechul hyung’s brother?” I asked looking at the guy.

“Oh yeah, Kim Myungsoo and you are?” he said.

“I’m your brother’s friend dongsaeng. It’s nice to meet you.” I said shaking his hand.

“Oh hyung never told me about you. You know her?” he said making a face at Krystal, to which she replied by showing her tongue.

I wasn’t so sure what their relation but they seems to be close but I never met him before today. I should have at least seen him once when I visited her.

“It’s nothing new. Hyung and I try our best to stay away from eachother’s business. I’m surprised that he wanted me to accompany him. Yeah, we have been together for three years.” I replied.

“You are the guy that she keeps telling us about? Man, I feel sad for you. How can you stand her at all?” he said looking pitifully at me.

“I am an interesting person. It’s you who is a stupid person and gets on everybody nerves.” She answered back.

“Oh please it’s all you and it has nothing to do with me.” He replied.

It was interesting to see them act so childishly. They kept going back and forth and made us laugh forgetting about the awkwardness. We came to know that they knew each other cause of their parents and they have always hated each other. No wonder I never met him or heard of him from Krystal.

Suddenly hyung came over and said “Byunghyun, come on its time.”

“Already?” I asked.

“Yeah, let’s get going.” He said pulling me along.

I just turned towards the group and gave a small wave. I was so not prepared for what I’m about to do. I just hope that it’ll go according to plan and hopefully it’ll work out in my favour. Why did he have to bring me here? I could have been enjoying with the gang and have a blast. How I wish I was there instead of here.

We reached a group of people who all were deep in conversations and they all looked arrogant and hard-to-please. I so didn’t want to be stuck with these people at all.

“Excuse me please, I would like to introduce the second son of Mr Lee, my younger brother.” Hyung said pushing me in the middle.

I didn’t have a choice so I just smiled looking around, searching for at least one familiar face but didn’t have any luck.

“Good evening Sirs, it’s nice to finally get a chance to meet you all.” I said respectfully.

“A true Lee, I must say he raised both his sons well.” One of them said smiling at me. “I am Mr Kwon, it’s nice to finally meet the so well hidden second son of the Lees.”

“Yes, you have been kept well under the radar but we have still heard great things about you.” Another man added. “One can’t forever remain a mystery right?”

I just kept smiling and commenting here and there where needed. I am so glad that I still keep up with the happenings of business world even if I was banned. What can I say, ‘Old habits die hard’.
