JUNG RIAN

"Welcome. We are so happy to have you here with us to celebrate a very important event in Boosung. Tonight is a night to celebrate the return of Boosung." Ji Hoon paused. "I am very pleased to have our newest addition here with us. Miss Jung Ri An. I am confident that Boosung will grow with her by our side." Everyone clapped. He looked over at me. I smiled at him. 

"To start off the night, I would like to invite another great pianist to the stage. He is from Glory-- President Kim Changsun. We are so priveliged to have him here tonight. Everyone, with you...Kim Changsun-ssi!" 

He was sitting on the the piano bench ready to start. After the audience was done clapping, he began to play 'Porcelain'.

He didn't seem like he was in any type of discomfort. His eyes were closed as he played. 

It was no doubt it was a beautiful song. It was the first song I ever learned to play on the piano. Back then, it was choppy and not great at all. When I touched his piano and played it he got so angry. 

I squeezed my hands into fists remembering the pain of when he threw me on the pavement and my hands got scrapped and bloody. He had no sympathy for anyone back then. It was hard to say he had any ever... 

The melody stopped and i looked up at him. He stood up and bowed. Everyone clapped. I smirked. Just wait what I can do Joon...You are going to be green with envy. 

Someone else was going to intoduce Ji Hoon and I to the stage. 

When they did, Ji Hoon stood up and extended his hand to me and I took it. We both walked on stage and took our place. He sat with me on the piano bench and we looked at each other. 

La Campanella in G-Sharp Minor was what we were going to play.

Playing with Ji Hoon was another expirence entirely. He was an absoulute genius when it came to play with piano. Even I had to admit that. 

As we played together, I couldn't help but smile. This song was very difficult. I felt the sweat beads on my forhead. 

In the distance I could hear some people gasp. 'Wow this is amazing' 'is this even real!?" I heard comments like those. I couldn't help but feel proud of myself. 

After our preformance, I went to where Byunghee was. He congratulated me. 

Tonight had been a success. 

Joon was no where to be seen. I took it as a 'mission accomplished'.

What had I been doing this entire time? 

Wasn't I supposed to come back to Korea a different person? Wasn't I supposed to be better than Ji Hoon?! 

I was completly overshadowed by Ha Na and Ji Hoon. 

I was a complete mess. 

How could I have chosen such a inferior song?! I was made out to look like a fool! 

I loosend my tie and grabbed a fistful of my hair. 

I was on the verge of loosing it. 

All I needed was to run into Ji Hoon for this to all go downhill. And just as I thought that, he had appeared right in front of me.
