The sun streamed into the bedroom. It hit Niel in the face, and his face wrinkled up in unpleasantness. He reached out to grasp the curtains to give it a good yank. However, his fingers touched nothing. *What the hell?* Niel opened his eyes. He didn’t see his coarse, white curtains anywhere.

Instead, he was met with violet and pink curtains, a bouncy mattress, and a row of pictures of Sohee and her close ones.

Niel scrambled up and touched his aching head. *. Where am I?* The events from last night reeled back and hit him hard. *He’s gone. That bastard is gone for good. And right now, I’m at ssem’s house. I SLEPT BESIDE HER!*

In victory, Niel bounced up. He strode towards the door and halted. Niel cleared his throat and fixed his messy bed hair. He looked in the mirror, made sure he appeared decent, and flashed a grin at his bruised and bloodied self. Very carefully, Niel opened the bedroom door. He peeked out and looked around the living room. He heard noises in the kitchen and silently treaded out of the bedroom.

Niel snuck towards the kitchen and peered over the wall.

Sohee’s back was to him. She was wearing a pink-and-white checkered apron, and she was busy preparing breakfast (more like lunch considering the time) for them. Niel almost melted on the spot and gripped onto the wall to keep from dissolving into a puddle on the floor. *She’s making me food. I feel like she’s my wife. God, how glorious would that be to wake up to her every single day?* He wanted to walk right up to her and hug her tiny waist.

“Go wash.” Sohee suddenly commanded, breaking him out of his fantasies. She spun around and met eyes with him. At the unexpected movement, he stumbled back and fell over the couch. “Ow- WHOA! !” There was a loud thump as he landed on the floor.

Sohee stifled her laughter and bit her lower lip to keep from smiling too widely.

Niel fluidly stood up with red ears. *How ing embarrassing is this?!* He cleared his throat and rubbed the back of his head. “Uh…what did you tell me to do?”

“I told you to go wash unless you want to stay like that for the rest of the day…” She motioned.

“Oh. Er, right. I should wash.” Niel walked towards the right.

“The bathroom is that way.” Sohee pointed.

He quickly darted off in the opposite direction. She chuckled while shaking her head.

*I guess I didn’t have to worry about being the awkward one.* Sohee tasted the broth and paused. When she had woken up this morning, the first thing she saw had been Niel’s face in front of hers. She freaked out seeing her student’s face so close to her, but what had startled her the most was the way her body reacted. She blushed uncontrollably, and her heart rate tripled its rate. She had never felt such emotions with another person before, nevertheless a student.

The broth boiled and steam hit her face.

Sohee snapped out of her thoughts and turned the stove off. She set the table with side dishes and two sets of soup, rice, spoons, and chopsticks. The door flung open, and Niel came out.

“Sit down.” Sohee called. Niel walked into the kitchen and sat in front of her.

“If you want more, tell me. There’s a lot of food left.” Sohee began to eat.

Niel picked up his spoon, but he didn’t eat. He kept glancing at her to guage her reaction.

“Your soup and rice are going to get cold.” She said.

“Ssem,” Niel called. “Am I the first student to sleep with you?”

Sohee choked on her rice and gagged slightly. She poured water into a cup and took a long sip. Niel continued to study her. “Am I really? Tell me, ssem.”

“Okay,” Sohee put the cup down and cleared . “First of all, I don't sleep with students AT ALL. Two,” She scratched her pink ear. “The circumstance was strange last night, and we both needed comfort. BUT-“ Sohee held out her finger with a firm gaze. “Nothing happened.”

Niel smirked. “I’m guessing you’re still a , ssem?”

Sohee fumed. “Ahn Daniel! That is none of your business!”

“I guessed right. I’m your first man.” Niel stuffed rice into his mouth.

Sohee gawped at him. *The nerve this kid has.*

Niel stopped eating and blinked at her. “Aren’t you eating? Your rice and soup are getting cold.”

Sohee narrowed her eyes. She knew it was pointless to argue, so she picked up her chopsticks and finished her food. When they were done eating, Sohee cleaned up and untied her apron. “Tell me where I can drop you off.”

“Drop me off?” Niel blinked.

“You can go to Minsoo’s or Byunghun’s. I’ll drop you off while I’m going to the market.” Sohee said.

“Market…?” A sly grin appeared on his face. “Can I come?”

Sohee parked in the lot of the supermarket. She pulled the key out of the ignition, grabbed her tote, and stepped out of the car.

Niel stepped out from the other side and came around to her. “I can’t believe you caved into me like that. Am I that irresistable?”

Sohee arched an eyebrow and locked her car. “You threatened to stalk me if I didn’t let you come with me. You blocked my car from leaving the parking lot. What was I supposed to do? Run you over?”

Niel snapped his fingers with a wide smirk. “I knew you were in love with me, ssem.”
