Time Machine

Description

They were childhood friends to start with

growing together in this neighborhood of peace

Eventually, their friendships grew

And love blossomed.

The winds sang the solemn melody

Quietude played the music of coldness

The snows began to fall.

The bell rang as doves fly towards the sad sky

Her tears fell as her heart shatters

like glass, fragile and weak.

He wasn't there anymore.

He will never be.

He woke up with nothing by his side.

Despite her presence that still lingers on his mind...

He lives an empty life and embraces it still with a smile.

His dreams... her presence captivates his mind.

But her identity he knows nothing thus he ends up in question.

She is always there.

But never was she at his side.

"Oppa, where are we going?" I looked at her and smiled assuring her that wherever we are heading to is fine and safe. I noticed that we are in our younger days... full of life... and love...

She was looking at me with those naive doe-eyes and a curious smile. She's a beauty that signifies an angel being held by my hand. It was a snowy winter and the snows fall, graciously, like feathers in the wind. The environment is quiet but peaceful despite the chill that you normally feel during winter season.

"I found this place somewhere and I want to show it to you... You'll like it." I told her as we approaches an abandoned establishment, that resembles a warehouse of some sort, that seems empty for a very long decade. She was hesitating but I flashed her a smile, grasping her hand securely. She might have felt the message I want to convey for she smiled as well as if easing off all of her sudden worries and letting herself be led. She's very beautiful and her innocent face always gives me a soothing feel.

We continued until we reached the backyard of the warehouse and towards an opening beneath the tall brick walls. We snuck to that small opening and was greeted by this empty, lonely garden. I smiled and turned to her. She is wearing that adorable surprised look and it seems this place amazed her as I see some glitters forming in her eyes. I smiled contently for my surprise was a success. The garden is wrecked and lonely for a long time, lying unseen just behind this warehouse, but the beauty is still overwhelming. There is a wide man-made oval pond barricade by gray bricks wherein a statue of a girl lies prettily at the center though a bit unkempt. The whole area is blanketed by white snows same as with the withered trees and some stone-made benches.

We looked around and eyed this marvelous forgotten beauty and before long, I looked at her. "Waahhh..." She was definitely into it. I chuckled and walked forward towards the pond viewing the frozen water. "How did you find it, oppa?" She looked at me. I smiled grasping my hand at my back and walked giddily around. "I was wandering around yesterday after school and accidentally bumped into this place. No one seems to know this and just then I decided that this will be my sanctuary." I turned to her and approaches her, smiling with a contented heart as she looks at me with those pretty innocent eyes and her goofy grin.

I stretched out my left hand and she reached for it eagerly. "This place is special to me since I found this alone and it felt like it presented itself to me." She went to my side and we both eyed the clock post that seems to have rested alone after its best days are spent. It was an ebony clock post decorated with quartz and marble. It stands proud but alone behind the pond as if viewing the world as it pass by with time.

"You and I are the only ones who know this place. I led you here because this place is special to me and I want to share all of the special things I have to you. This will be our place... our sanctuary." I told her. I felt my her grasp tighten and I looked at her. She is staring at me with those eyes that seems to bear tiny spots of crystals that glimmer against the pale but calm light. "Thank you, Oppa... yes this will be our place." She smiled and we stared at each other as the clock post that seems broken suddenly rang a melancholic tune and everything went dark...
