ღ Chapter Two ღ     Early April   The first meeting with the wedding planner took place with Kris, my grandmother, and my mother, in the hotel bar at the Chae Luxe back in Seoul. Just that fact that my mother and grandmother were in the same room should have told you that this was a disaster.    They could not agree on anything.    "-means that the first thing would, of course, be the location," the wedding planner was saying. "Factored in that includes how many guests you plan on having, as well as the budget."   "I think a median-sized ceremony, with close friends, family, some business acquaintances would be-"   "Don't worry about the budget," grandmother interrupted my mother with a flip of her wrist. "It's going to the most extravagant wedding of the year, and everyone who is anyone will be there."   The wedding planner looked back and forth between them, not sure who to listen to.
