Lay was excited. Extremely.

Luhan hugged him after the performance, complimenting on his talent and stage presence, and he got to introduce every single member of the band to Luhan, and Luhan actually promised him that he would come by whenever possible to see him possible. It was pure bliss.

“ So where’s the promised chocolate? “ Luhan asked playfully as he skipped along the pavement, turning back to catch a few falling leaves as they fell on his sweater.
“ . It might have melted! “ Lay fumbled in his cardigan and tried to find the chocolate he bought at the confectionery when Luhan chuckled.
“ I was just kidding, you know. I don’t really expect—“ Luhan was cut off as Lay took out a slightly crumpled mess of a chocolate rabbit packed nicely in a small pink package.
“ Well… “ Lay scratched the back of his head. “ I thought the rabbit kinda looked like you… but it has melted, so… If you don’t want it I’ll eat it. “
Luhan chortled, then glared at Lay. “ Of course I want it! “ He snatched the package and put it carefully in his pocket.
“ I’ll put it in the freezer and eat it tomorrow. “
“ So… will you be coming to EXO tomorrow? “ Lay asked as Luhan frowned.
“ Going to EXO’s a daily habit. When have I ever missed it? “
“ Anyway, I was wondering if you would like to eat lunch together tomorrow on campus—Kyungsoo, one of our lead vocals actually have a part-time job as a cook there and he said that it would be nice if you joined us for lunch tomorrow. I can get Kris to accompany you to the cafeteria since you two are in the same building for lectures. Then we could come to EXO together. “ Lay suggested, his cheeks tinged with a shade of pink.
“ I… “ Luhan deliberated before breaking out into a huge grin.
“ I would love to. “

“ Hello. “ A deep mellow voice sounded when Luhan stepped out of class, scaring him.
“ Wow, you scared me! “ Luhan pushed up his spectacles as he looked up at Kris, who looked slightly shocked as well.
“ You look… different. Like with these glasses. “
“ You think so? I guess, but I don’t really see the difference. I guess I look better without them? “ Luhan questioned as Kris nodded somberly.
“ That’s definitely true. “

“ HEREEEEE HYUNGGGG! “ Chen waved wildly at the duo who just entered the canteen as he was shushed by Xiumin who was bowing to the annoyed students beside their table.
“ Hello. “ Luhan took a seat next to Lay who passed him a plate of food.
“ Try this, Kyungsoo-hyung whipped this up for you specially. It’s his signature dish. “ He grinned as Luhan dug in excitedly.
“ Wow, this cafeteria’s food is nice! I mean, Kyungsoo cooks nice food. I’ve never been to this cafeteria before. “ Luhan confessed, chomping on his pasta noodles.
“ Never? Well, that’s funny. Haven’t you been here for 2 years? “ Xiumin questioned as Luhan merely nodded.
“ Wow, you’re a hermit. I’m surprised you survived for so long without friends in this school, actually. “ Kai commented as he earned a slap on the back by Suho. “ OWWW! “
“ You have us now, Luhan. We’re your friends, and feel free to come to ask whenever you need help, or even just when you’re bored. You’re now officially accepted into EXO! “ Suho declared.
“ EXO? “

“ Oh, that’s the name of our band. “ Chen munched on a potato fry and pointed to himself. “ Lead vocalist who can speak Chinese! “
“ Thanks, I guess. “ Luhan smiled. It was nice to have company like that.
“ Thanks for introducing me to your friends. They’re really nice. “ Luhan whispered to Lay as Lay grinned. This was the best decision of his life.
