Of Memories and Present
Description
Leeteuk lives his life in a world filled with memories of her. The fact that Heechul always stays by his side only makes the memories more vivid and intense inside his head. Now back in his hometown where all the memories took place and he knows she still lives in, Heechul tells him to find her and settle things between them. Will Leeteuk just keep his memories and continue living with Heechul? Or will he find her to relive the memories of being with her and make new ones?
Foreword
I feel a pair of arms snake into my waist and pull me closer to the owner. I clearly remember the last time I held her, it was also a back hug; I stopped her from walking out to prolong our last time together. I clung to her like I wanted to melt her into my body, desperately breathed in her scent for I didn’t know if I’d be able to be that close again to her.
“I love you…” Heechul whispers warmly against my ear and I feel tears blurring my vision. Those were the exact words I said to her while she just stood there silently, putting her hands above mine until I reluctantly let her go and wiped my tears away. Just like what I’m doing right now.
“Why can’t I love you, Heechul-ah?” I mutter the rhetorical question while prying his hands away.
A/N: I’m going to submit this story as an entry for JannCakes Short Story Competition when I finish (or IF, since I haven’t applied yet). The prompt I used is the word ‘memories’.
