Those Stupid Memories

Five Days

Saturday

“Thanks a lot !”

“This wasn’t my fault.”

“Worst date ever.”

“Oh, so you admit this was a date.”

Donghae growled at the smirking king of the school. He shouldn’t even consider this a date. Hell, this wasn’t even considered two friends hanging out. It was more like a hostage situation where Donghae was the poor innocent bystander just buying milk then here comes this gangster looking Eunhyuk threatening people with his…what? Gun? Like the playboy was smart enough to handle a weapon. Most likely Eunhyuk would warn people saying he will use his ‘killer’ smile, which isn’t much of anything.

A sigh escaped from the playboy’s mouth as he scanned his surroundings. He had no idea where they were but they knew they were surrounded by buildings, speeding cars, and noisy people. Eunhyuk tried to spot something, anything, to get a hint of where they were. A simple sign of the street would be helpful.

Eunhyuk decided to walk further more into the alleyways of the buildings leaving the busy streets behind him. The sweet boy followed behind keeping his distance. In truth, Eunhyuk wanted to walk side by side with his five-day boyfriend but he isn’t going to push it right now and besides, Donghae was already pissed off as it was.

The two teens kept walking deeper into the alleyway making turns and would sometimes end up at a dead-end way. They tried to retrace their footsteps trying to back to the streets but now they were completely lost.

“I don’t even know why I even came,” Donghae grumbled under his breath as he placed his hands in his pants pocket. He glared at a stone wall like it would somehow teleport him away.

“You came because I’m here.”

“I didn’t come for you.”

“Why did you arrive then?”

“Because you offered food.”

Eunhyuk snorted couldn’t believe that Donghae just came because of the free food. There has to be something more than that.  The blond boy knew that the innocent Donghae wasn’t the easiest person to bribe or fool. He may look innocent but he wasn’t stupid. He always seemed to do things that seemed important to him. If Donghae was that type of person then was this date important?

Both teens ended up at their fifth dead-end of the day. Donghae ran up to the wall and desperately started to claw at it like some dog trying to get into the house. He started to slam his fist against the brick wall wishing that he could smash through the red brick.

The playboy stayed back and just watched the other boy with interest. A small smile was on Eunhyuk’s face as he found Donghae’s actions pretty entertaining. But without a thought he spoke, “Do you love me yet?”

Donghae stopped his whining and turned to look at the blonde boy with a hard glare. How could this guy just say something so unrelated? This has nothing to do with their situation right now. “It’s barely the third day,” Donghae crossed his arms.

Eunhyuk had a smirk on his face and moved closer to the glaring boy slowly. “Love works in mysterious ways so don’t be surprised if you’ve already fallen for me,” his words came out in a teasing tone.

“That’s never going to happen.”

Suddenly, Donghae was pinned against the brick wall with the playboy’s face inches from his. He could feel Eunhyuk’s warm breath against his face and down his neck. The shocked boy didn’t know what to do. He was frozen in place with surprise written in his eyes.

The playboy tilted his head with a noticeable smirk playing in his lips. Eunhyuk placed both of his arms firmly at both side of Donghae, trapping him under his gaze; his eyes searched Donghae’s face trying to find a certain emotion. “Hmm, you sure?” The blond boy couldn’t help but chuckle, “Cause’ I’ve already fallen for you.”

Without warning, Eunhyuk placed a soft kiss upon the sweet boy’s lips. Slowly the kiss went but as quickly the kiss happened, Donghae pushed the popular boy away causing him to land on the ground. Donghae grabbed at the Eunhyuk’s collar with a heated glare.

“Go ahead and hit me,” Eunhyuk’s face was in a serious expression with no joking behind his words. Donghae wanted to hurt him so badly. Without hesitation, the once sweet boy punched the playboy in the face and walked away turning corners not even looking back once.

As soon Donghae was out of sight, the beaten boy got up lifting his hand up to his face. He felt something wet and took a look at the substance. It was blood. Eunhyuk should have been pissed that he got punched but all he did was let out a tired sigh.

Eunhyuk walked the opposite direction of where Donghae had walked off to. He didn’t try going after the guy who punched him and he didn’t even attempt to wipe the blood from his nose. All the blonde boy did was put his hands in his pocket and tried to find his way back to the hectic traffic. Eunhyuk’s thoughts were wrapped around Donghae remembering his lips against his. It felt… Amazing? Incredible? Breathtaking? Or maybe even divine? Any of those would do to describe the kiss.

The playboy kept walking with his head down looking at his feet going step by step. Once in awhile, the blood dripping from his nose would fall onto the payment but Eunhyuk didn’t care. He was way to absorb in his own world to do anything. And he was busy worrying about Donghae to care about his nose. Another sigh escaped his lips as he leaned against a wall with his eyes closed.

So many scenes started to play in Eunhyuk’s head causing him to become dizzy with the sudden recollections of his past. He wanted them to stop but that wasn’t going to happen. He had to stay against the wall watching his flashbacks.

It wasn’t really much since Eunhyuk’s thoughts were mostly filled with the girls he dated, the girls he broke up with, the girls he had with, and even the girls he enjoyed looking at their butts. There were memories of his family at dinner or even some family vacation time but one thing stood out from the rest.

With a shake of his head, Eunhyuk pushed against the wall and started running through the alleyways. He didn’t want to face it. He didn’t want to stay and watch. He didn’t want to remember. So instead of staying, Eunhyuk decided to run from it. With all that running the playboy ended up back at the sidewalk with the sounds of the busy street. He was breathing hard with his chest heaving up and down. The blood already had dried up and his blonde hair was in his eyes. His other senses though picked up a harsh argument.

Eunhyuk looked up to see a man and a women argue over something that seemed important. He just stared at them for a good five minutes before the dispute ended with the girl breaking up with the man. The man didn’t do anything but stared after her.

Then it hit him. The memories Eunhyuk remembered that day. The day with Donghae’s girlfriend came rushing back. He remembered every detail.

Just a year ago, the blonde boy was walking down a street, like the one he was on. He heard some arguing just down an alley and decided to overhear the convo since he was bored as hell. Eunhyuk couldn’t hear much but did know that the girl was pissed and the guy seemed desperate. The verbal fight lasted for only two minutes when the girl rushed out but not before noticing Eunhyuk.

With a shock expression displayed, the bored boy couldn’t help but stare at the girl in front of him. Donghae’s supposedly true love and his ever so loving girlfriend, was giving a death glare at the blonde teen. She rushed past Eunhyuk and got lost into the crowd. Donghae followed behind, not noticing Eunhyuk, and started to chase after the girl. But it was already too late.

Back at the present, the memory didn’t seem much but there were certain events that took place to cause that separation. Eunhyuk took out his phone and quickly dialed a phone number. The numbers came from memory and it took a lot of nerve to even call.

“Yobosaeyo?” An older female voice answered, Eunhyuk concluded it was Donghae's umma.

Eunhyuk forced himself to speak, “Is Donghae there?”

“Ne, he just got home about five minutes ago.” Eunhyuk couldn’t help but sigh in relief. The female continued, “Do you want to talk to him? Who is this?”

“I don’t want to talk to him but tell him I said sorry. Tell him that everything, everything was my damn fault,” with that said, Eunhyuk closed his phone not even leaving his name or waiting for a reply. He closed his eyes knowing that everything was his fault. He wasn’t talking about the kiss, oh no. Nor was he talking about getting them lost. Eunhyuk wanted to apologize for what had happened in the past.
