Foreword
I headed to the hospital with the casualty and was in the midst of reporting the situation to the police.
I was utterly drained out and as I looked up to catch a breather, my gaze landed upon a woman who was walking towards my direction.
Suddenly, the atmosphere stood still. It was silent, so silent that if a pin fell to the floor, it would sound as if the wall of china came crashing down. My heart was beating steadily but it seemed to reverberate through the whitewashed walls. The sound of her heels against the mozart tile echoed through the entire hospital.
Clog clog clog...
