“Mummy! Mummy! A shooting star!” 5 year old boy shouted, pointing up the sky. I followed the direction of his finger, glancing up the sky. Indeed, a cloud trail cut across the deep blue skies. Yet, it didn’t look like the trails of a shooting star. But then, again, where to find a meteorite in the day light?

“That’s a cloud trail left by a plane, dear. Now, come along.” The mother of the child pulled him along. I smiled to myself for being silly, trusting the little boy’s words. Shaking my head, I continued my path back home.

Down the road, the pavement became uneven as if damaged by objects landing with a strong force. Smoke steam evaporated from the cracks of the floor, trying to cool down. Being a curious human, I went in closer with caution, unknown to what’s awaiting for me.

As I followed the damaged pavement, a pleasant surprise revealed itself in front of my own eyes. A half- man laid on the floor, his body covered in injuries. Feathers scattered the floor, melted wax solidified as they covered different surface of the roads. What a scene!

“Sorry,” I kneeled down beside him, checking. The man raised his head, half conscious.

“Help…” He asked weakly.
