Hysterie

Description

No one knew the book was non-fiction.

Everyone thought I was a truly amazing writer. That the intimate stories and the beautiful moments had been created by me, Saya. But even today, as I stand on the podium, ready to read out the first chapter to the conference of people, I only think of him.

Here's the true story behind my novel. A first person account of my relationship with Nam Woohyun, my white knight. Apart from loving, caring and being affectionate, he possessed the one sincere quality that lacked in guys today--no matter where I was, no matter what happened to me, Woohyun was always there for me. Always.

Literally.

P.S - Please read this with a pinch of salt. I'll make this as fun as possible ^-^

Foreword

Have you ever experienced apocalypse?

The doomed word was circling my head as I read today's newspaper. Top 5 Books in Fiction, the number 1 spot taken by Saya Park's 'Hysterie'.

I gulped. Fantastic. He's a bestseller.

I did not step out of the house that day. Nor did I receive any calls. I did however change my facebook status from 'Caramel Custard!!' to 'Celebrating Number 1 spot! Please do not disturb me!' Thankfully, no one landed up on my doorstep.

I wonder if what I'm doing is alright. If it goes against my contract... ah, what contract. The book was self-published.

Yet, I couldn't help but think of those comments.... 'I wish my boyfriend was like him!' 'Over-protective my ! I would any day marry someone like him! Too bad he doesn't exist..' etc.

Truth was, he did exist.

Hysterie, my 'fictional' account about an over-protective boyfriend was autobiographical. Those three years that I had spent with him had been no joke. Taught by my mom to be independent and be responsible for my own security, The Boy was a huge tsunami that swept me away but at the same time, made sure I was unharmed.

But apart from just being my 'personal bodyguard', he had taught me a lot of things that no one would have ever known.

'What others think about you is none of your business'

'You know, if you put the whole world's problems in a pile, you would take yours back'

'When its about running after what you love, never take no for an answer.'

I sighed as the memories of the last line hit me. I was experiencing a high quality flashback, every single detail etched in my brain.

I took in a deep breath. That's it. The world HAD to know about him. He was special, unique, different.... The world could not just bury him under a fake name. He had a name. An identity. Deep inside, I wanted to bask under the honour of having been his girlfriend. He was devoted, not to me, but to love. I owed this to him. I my lips and let my fingers type away.

"Everyone always wanted to know, had I ever met someone like Chang Su? What if I told you that I had met, kissed and loved Chang Su. Except that his name was more beautiful, his heart more sincere, his eyes more expressive and his laughter the enemy of all sadness.

Meet Nam Woohyun. Starting now, is the true story that inspired Hysterie."

DO NOT PLAGIARIZE. I HAVE WORKED MY OFF ON THIS FIC SO IF I FIND ANY JUGHEAD EINSTEIN BEING ALL SMARTY PANTS WITH THIS STORYLINE, PREPARE FOR A FULL-ON SPAM ATTACK FROM EVERY SINGLE, SUBSCRIBER, READER AND FRIEND OF MINE. I can be a when it comes to my stories so yeah, even if you want to credit me and write the story, it would be better if you could just post the link to your previous story or your wall, etc. Protective boyfriend fics are common but if I find one with the same pattern.... I'll be all 'booyaka' on you and trust me it's not funny.

Chapter 49: Oh god.. You have no idea what kind of an emotional rollercoaster has my life been because of this fix... Truthfully I honestly just missed "Yoongi happened" a lot so I came to your profile to read it again, but something made me scroll down your other stories and I'm glad i did ;; It took me many school sleepless nights and getting scolded in class for staring at my phone but I'm finally finished ;u; I felt a lot of things during it, angry at the turn of events, confused at times at Sayas way of thinking and such but that is something not many authors can accomplish and I love thus fic a lot ;; Thank you for writing it and good luck on your future works !!!

I've had this sitting on my favorites for months now and couldn't bring myself to sit down and read through it. Perhaps because I was in a sense going through the same situation. But last week, I began plowing through the story and finished it. This story is touching in so many ways and strong advice for those entering, in and leaving a relationship. So glad I wasn't intimated by the length of the story cause it was worth it. Thank you for writing this.

Chapter 17: I seriously find this writing truly exquisite and that's from not reading it yet. If I could compare fanfics to wine I would say this one matured well :D

Well, that was a whirlpool of emotions. I cannot comprehend Jaehyo's feelings without turning into an utter sap again, so all I can say is, you did a really fantastic job acknowledging and confronting that 'ignorance is bliss' mentality some people live by, as well as the conventionality of living by the rules and what's wrong and what's right. Some parts of the story...I can't say I've not seen before, but I'm glad you've managed to twist the plot to make it yours. You pull at heartstrings even since from the start (I won't say it's the scenes in the rain dampening spirits everywhere). That indescribable loneliness people struggle to grasp. Everything is so startlingly tangible, you can't help but feel for the characters and feel some more. I don't know what this is, but reading Hysterie has made me feel a little happy and a little sad and now I have to go do something to keep my emotions in check. Thank you.
