My Nerd Prince [BACK FROM LONG HIATUS]
Description
The school nerd + the evil queen = catastrophe! Lee Sungyeol is very intelligent and always ends up at the top of his class. Kang Mi Jin, on the other hand, is a beauty but she has no brains. Both are quite popular at school but has never actually crossed paths with each other. What happens when these two individuals meet?
Characters:
Kang Mi Jin- She's vain, selfish and conceited. Everything about her practically screams out "Evil Queen." She spends her days torturing her hoobaes and anyone below her level. Despite her horrid attitude students can't help but admire her beauty. She ruled the school since junior high and she won't hesitate to do it one last time in her final year of high school.
Lee Sungyeol- Calm, gentle and caring. What more can you ask from a guy? There is, however, one exception: he's the school nerd. He clutches his books tightly against his chest every time you pass him by the school halls. He always seems lost behind his glasses and what's more, he towers over everyone because of his height. He seems like a social outcast but in reality everyone praises him because, well, he's the nerd. He is always ready to lend a helping towards those struggling academically.
Kim Cho Hee- The complete opposite of Mi Jin. She's sweet, caring and friendly. She greets every moning with a smile and she never hesistates to help someone in need. People often wonder why she's best friends with the Evil Queen. Her answer? "Just because."
Park Min Hee- She is fashionable, boy crazy and the first one to know about the hottest gossips at school. This girl is a dangerous mix. It is not a coincidence that she is Mi Jin’s partner in crime. Together, they make the most powerful team of ruining people’s lives. Don’t cross her or else you just might end up being her next target.
Ahn Lina- The shy beauty type. She's quiet and doesn't talk much but once you get her to open up she won't stop talking! She's fun, bubbly and humorous. One tip though: get on her bad side and she'll blow up like a volcano!
Kim Myungsoo- Mysterious and alluring, no one really knows what he's like except for his two best friends, Sungyeol and Sungjong. He's like a puzzle that everyone's trying to figure out. No one really wants to approach him in his class becuase he looks scary and doesn't seem like he'd talk to you anyways.
Lee Sungjong- He's childish, adorable and optimistic. He can brighten up your day in a single second, and he is able to cease your worries. He is the ideal best guy friend for any girl, but because of his girlish looks, he posts as a threat among all the other girls at school. Truth be told, they are all jealous because of the fact that he's prettier than the majority of them, hence his nickname "pretty boy."
Foreword
I was packing up to leave when Mr. Shim called me up as everyone left the class. What is is now?, I thought. You already embarrassed me today when you asked me that stupid math question I couldn't answer. Don't tell me you're going to embarrass me yet gain by asking me to get tutoring lessons. With a groan, I went towards him anyway. "Yes, Mr. Shim," I said with a smile that's too forced. "You are aware of your grades aren't you, Mi Jin?," he asked, focused on the paper in front of him. I raised an eyebrow. "What are you talking about? It's only the beginning of the year and we haven't even started lessons yet. There's no way I could be failing school already." "I'm not talking about that. I'm not talking about this year because you are indeed right. I'm talking about last year's. And the year before that. And the year before that. And so on. You got the lowest marks out of your whole class, Miss Kang. I know this is your last year in high school but if you don't pass senior year you are not allowed to graduate." "I know that. And so? I don't care. I can just ask my dad to let the school board let me graduate. After all, he-" "That's not the point, Mi Jin." Mr. Shim looked up from his papers, eyes focused on me now. "I am aware that your father is one of the founders of this school. But even that isn't enough to convince the school board to let a failing student graduate high school. I stiffened a bit. Mr. Shim continued talking. "I looked over your school records and there's one thing I don't get. It seems you graduated at the top of the class in elementary and you also got the highest marks in your class in the first year of junior high. But after that everything went downhill. What happened?" I looked away. "I d-don't know!", I said a bit too defensively. "Well, never mind that. I arranged with your father for you to have a tutor this year. It's a classmate of yours and I'm pretty sure you know him. He's very diligent and he will help you with you studies. Be good to him becuase he just might be your way out of high school." Ugh, could this day get any worse?
"Here let me introduce you to him. Lee Sungyeol, will you please come up here?" He called to the guy sitting alone at the fron, reading quietly. "Yes, Mr. Shim," he obediently followed his orders. Wow, such a goodie-goodie. I haven't even met him personally yet but I hate him already. I rolled my eyes. "Let me introduce you to the girl you're going to tutor this year. This is Kang Mi Jin. She is your classmate. You're going to help her with her studies." I looked at this "Lee Sungyeol" guy. I gasped. Isn't this the guy that made me trip this morning?! Ugh, this day is officially the worst day of my life! I looked at Mr. Shim and my so-callled tutor. The tutor looked at me and raised an eyebrow. I gave him a what-are-you-looking-at look. He quickyl looked back to Mr. Shim. "Yes, Mr. Shim. I will gladly tutor her and I will also sure that she passes every test." "Thank you, Sungyeol. You are a lifesaver. I will leave her in your care for now. I'll leave you two alone to get you to to know each other before lessons and tutoring sessions begin." He left the room. "Forget what he said. I don't need and I don't want a tutor," I turned towards Sungyeol, trying to convince him. "Whatever." He turned towards the door and left. That was easier than I thought. I smiled. I gathered all my belongings and turned towards the door.

Hey guys, naemiyoung here. This is my first fanfic that is mine that I'm posting here on AFF (btw, if you didn't already know True Love Lasts isn't mine. It's my wonderful friend, ECfanfiction's story) I've been thinking about writing this story for over a year now. I wanted to start it a long time ago but I just never had the time to because of school work and other things. But summer is on it's way (which means no school) and school is basically done (just two more exams then bye-bye school) so I decided I'm finally going to write it (yay!). I hope you have fun reading my story just like how I'll have fun writing the chapters. See you in the first chapter :3
