----

It was raining heavily.

The windshield wipers desperately tried to wipe the buckets of water being poured onto the window.

Finally, one-fourth of a mile away, Jungah spotted the small light of an abandoned warehouse.

“There!” Jungah desperately pointed. “It’s over there!”

Kris swiftly turned the car around.

The car came to a screeching halt. Dirty water and grimy mud splashed all over the windows.

Jungah flung open the door and stepped out into the pouring rain. Getting drenched and catching a cold was the least of her worries right now. Without hesitating, she ran towards the warehouse.

BOOM!

The deafening sound of another gunshot made her come to an abrupt stop. Her eyes widened, and she stared at the warehouse in horror. Her heart fell in dread.

“Zico…” Jungah whispered. “ZICO!” She shrieked. Then without dithering, she darted into the danger zone.

“Jungah! JUNGAH!” Kris screamed her name, but it was too late. She was gone. *!* Kris hastily scrambled after her. He jumped into the warehouse and looked around. He heard shouts in one direction and headed towards them.

Jungah was running out of breath, but she wouldn’t stop. She wouldn’t stop running until she found Zico. Jungah skidded to a stop. Her wide, alarmed eyes frantically searched the room. She tried to listen for Zico’s voice, but the thundering of her heart interrupted her hearing. *God dammit! Where can Zico be?!*

Her ears picked up on the sound of a click of a gun.

Before a bullet could crack her head open, someone tackled her into the ground.

Jungah turned around to see Kyung on top of her. He got off of her and yanked her up.

“WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING HERE?! ARE YOU OUT OF YOUR MIND?!” Kyung snarled. There was no kindness or cheerfulness on his face, and that scared Jungah. It meant this was the real deal. They were all in trouble.

Jungah grabbed his jacket and desperately searched his eyes, “Kyung, where’s Zico?! Where did Zico go?! I can’t find him anywhere.” His face fell at the mention of Zico. Her eyes suspiciously narrowed, and she tightened her grip on him, “Zico is all right, isn’t he?! TELL ME THAT HE’S OKAY!”

“I don’t know!” Kyung blurted. Jungah stared at him in disbelief as fear clouded her eyes.

“We were all split up after one of them rang the first shot.” He confessed. Her shoulders slumped in despair. *No one knows what happened to Zico?* The snap of a branch made both of them look up.

Kyung’s eyes widened. *.*

Jungah stared at the man pointing the gun at them. She squint her eyes to get a closer look at him. The male looked Korean, but she remembered him as being one of Kris’s friends.

Kyung protectively stretched his arms out, “Stay behind me, Jungah.” He glared at Chen spitefully, “If you’re going to kill me, do it, but leave the girl alone.”

With a blank expression, Chen pointed the gun at his face. Right before he was about to pull the trigger, a body shot out and tackled him to the ground.

“NO, CHEN!” Kris fiercely roared.

Kyung stared at Kris on the ground. *What is he doing
