Fool House (Living with an Idiot)
Description
…is a story of Dara and Tabi.
I am a DaraGon shipper, so I'm challenging myself to write a story out of my comfort zone.
This should be fun, but really, I don't know.
Comments and suggestions are much appreciated and criticisms are ..ermm... i will do my best to use your criticisms in the most productive and progressive way that I could.
Foreword
Dara is the owner of a 3-bedroom house which is situated near Dankook University, that’s why a lot of students have been bugging her to rent off a room in her house, but she just wouldn’t. Dara also owns a food cart that operates outside the University, but one day, the loan sharks confiscated it due to her father’s debts. She hasn’t had any news about her father for almost a year now and her house is in danger of being confiscated as well. Tabi, on the other hand, is the son of worldstar-turned-producer Yang Hyun Suk, but his real identity had been well hidden from the public, even from parents’ family. Only a few trusted people know about him. There was only Mr. Park (Teddy-hyung, as Tabi would call him), the man who took care of him since he was little and basically acted as his father, and Bommie, his childhood friend (the girl he secretly loves).
..so, Dara is in danger of losing her home, and unless she could pay the loan sharks in 30 days, she won’t be able to keep it. College enrolments are on for this semester and Tabi’s enrolling at Dankook University so Mr. Park needs to find him somewhere to live, the nearer it is to the school, the better. Mr Park found Dara’s place to be perfectly fitting since it’s just 2 blocks away from the school and a bit hidden away from the busy city streets (in short, isolated). He also found out about her current situation and so one day he paid her a visit and negotiated with her. He offered to pay $5000 a month, which would allow Tabi to use all the amenities in the house except her room (basically renting the entire house) and for Dara to help him with his household needs like laundry, housekeeping and doing the grocery (basically becoming his maid). Dara was left with no choice but to accept the offer since Mr Park was willing to pay the whole semester’s rent (6 months) in advance, and just the 4 months’ rent can pay off her father’s debt and she could use the rest of the money to open a new food cart.
Mr Park helped Tabi move in to Dara’s house a week before the start of classes. Dara has always been half-hearted about this situation and it showed in her expression. Tabi has been so used to moving in and moving out and was never emotionally attached to anyone besides Mr Park and Bommie. He has always had the cold and snobbish expression, like he doesn’t care at all. On their first day of meeting, their personalities seemed to have clashed, and Dara could feel that this wasn;t going to be easy.
