Night was slowly falling on Seoul and you were on your way to go home thinking about today. Even if nothing went like you had expected, you were satisfied with your day. You were still a bit shocked about the cookie episode but with hindsight, it was quite funny. Quickly after that, Chanyeol started to open up a bit more, asking you questions and telling you few jokes to lighten the mood. That guy was really something and food was such a good weapon ! Maybe you could gain points by bringing Chanyeol cookies tomorrow too ? Yes, it sounded like a good idea. And thanks to that, you felt a little bit more comfortable around him. It was a good thing, maybe in few days or weeks, you could ask him to become your boyfriend.You nodded, satisfied, and started to think to something else when someone yelled your name. You turned back.

Kai.

«  Yah ! Wait for me ! » He shouted from across the street.

You shrugged, ignored him and kept walking. You made few steps when you heard him running behind you.

«  Yah ! Didn't I ask you to wait for me ? » He cried when it reached your level, breathless.

«  Oh sorry, I hadn't heard you. » You lied, not even looking at him.

Kai smirked.

«  Where are you going ? It's getting late, young lady. » He asked, following you.

«  Far away from you. » You replied.

You walked faster but so did he.

«  How things are going with Chanyeol ? » He giggled.

You sighed. He was going to bring the topic every time he could, wasn't he ?

«  Everything is fine. I have a plan and everything is going just as it's planned. » You replied without emotion.

«  Oh ! You're such a manipulative and calculating women ! » Kai teased you with a shocked tone, making you smile.

You hit him.

«  Don't say that ! » You cried.

Kai laughed. He really liked to tease, even if you weren't friends.

You kept walking few steps in silence. You were about to turn in another street when you bumped into someone. You quickly made few steps back and bowed.

«  I'm so sorry ! » You apologized and blushed.

You were so clumsy and felt embarrassed.

You raised your head to see the person you blocked. When your eyes met his, your heart skipped a beat.

Why, oh why, from all the personn you could have bump into, why was that person your secret and irrestible crush, Baekhyun ?

Your eyes widened and you couldn't add another word. Here. Alone. Two feet away from you. Baekhyun. You were absolutely knocked out, unprepared for this kind of situation. He gave you the loveliest smile, giving you feel small butterflies, and apologized too. You turned bright red and ran your hand in your hair, embarrassed. You felt so stupid and yet happy.

You almost forgot about Kai, that annoying devil, but he reminded you of his existence by ruining everthing with his sarcastic laugh.

«  Yah ! Hasn't Oppa already told you to pay more attention ? » He exclaimed, putting his hand on your head.

O...Oppa ? You turned to him and frowned. What was he talking about ? He ignored your surprised stare. When did you ever call him Oppa ? What was wrong with him ? Better to be killed rather than calling him Oppa someday. This guy was your enemy ! Was he crazy ? You would only give him this nickname over your dead body. You were so shocked that you didn't even protest.

You looked at Baekhyun, about to tell him that Kai and you hadn't that kind of relationship but you stayed completely speechless. You never talked to him and you were so nervous that you were unable to let out a word. In addition, why would he care ?You never met. Baekhyun frowned at the word « Oppa », or at least you thought he did.

«  Let's go! I'll take you home. » Kai announced with a smile, pinching your cheek.

Baekhyun moved away from the way to let you pass. Kai walked straight forward without any hesitation and you stupidly followed him, just like a dog, just like a slave. You looked back and saw Baekhyun looking at you, or something in your direction. You didn't really know actually, this situation was just surreal. When he was out of sight, you found your mind again and stopped walking.

«  YAH ! What just happened, Kai ? When did I ever called you Oppa ? » You yelled, madly angry.

Kai stopped too and sighed. You were so mad, that you started to push him. Again and again, on his chest.

«  You embarrassed me ! You really did ! Never ever do that again in front of anybody, you hear me ? Who do you think you are ? »

You were screaming. You never hated him so much. He knew about your crush, why did he feel the urge to open his damn mouth and ruin the situation ? You kept pushing him, harder and harder.

Kai sighed again and shrugged. He quickly opened up his phone, typed something and opened the dirty file. You rolled your eyes. How unexpected.

«  So what ? You are going to threaten me now? How brav ... »

«  Remember that ? » He interrupted you without any smile. « It's not Baekhyun that you are supposed to seduce, it's Chanyeol. »

«  But what give you the right to … » You yelled even louder, not paying attention to his words.

«  New rule. » He announced with a husky voice. « You can't flirt with any other guy. »

What was happening to him ? What was the point of this new rule ? What was happening to him all sudden ? Seducing Chanyeol was already painful and bothersome ! He was really making your life hell. That wasn't fair ! He had embarrassed you in front of Baekhyun and, now, he was adding ridiculous and irrelevant rule to your deal.

«  But Kai... » You cried.

«  Don't talk or I'll send it. » He cut your off.

How dared him ? Even if, inside you, blood was burning in your veins, you tried to stay still. Don't give him what he wants. You gave him a death stare, hoping he could die from it. That boy was pure nastiness, pure badness. You bit your lips to force you to don't talk, don't slap him and held tears and a scream of frustration. Don't react, it will only make him happy of himself.

Seeing that you were not protesting, he closed his phone and sighed. You were giving him a rough time. He was about the add something smoother, to lighten the mood maybe, but you didn't want to listen to that jerk anymore. Enough was enough. You you teeth.

«  No need to take me home, Oppa. I'm fine on my own. » You shouted sarcastically

before running far, far away from that little devil.

You didn't want to go to school the following day. You didn't want to see Kai and deal with his lame jokes. You didn't want to see Baekhyun, still embarrassed because of what happened yesterday. You just wanted to stay under your blanket and sleep all day long. But school was not an option for you, you had to go. Even if that meant spending the day in a bad mood.

«  Oh come on ! Tell me what is happening to you ? » Vicky asked you during the lunch break, while you were waiting for Mina.

She squeezed your hand with a little smile. You couldn't tell her what happened yesterday because she didn't knew about your crush on Baekhyun. And Mina already told you she liked him. Admitting you liked him too would be a war declaration.

So you had to keep it to yourself. Once again...

«  Nothing Vick' ! Just... periods. » You just lied with a gesture of the hand.

She nodded and gave you a compassionate smile.

«  Oh I see. Being a girl isn't easy. »

You laughed. Not isn't not.

Then, you both stayed silent for a while, waiting for Mina to come back with her lunch. When saw her tiny silhouette running to you from the hallway, you couldn't help but let out a smile.

Her face was red and she was breathless.

«  Oh look at that girl... » Vicky whispered like an old ajhumma talking about her clumsy daughter.

«  Yeah, I know. » You agreed.

She throwed her lunch on the table and sited in a hurry next to you.

«  Oh my God ! You will never believe what just happen to me ! » She exclaimed.

«  What ? What ? » Vicky and you shouted like little girls.

Mina patted her burning cheeks to calm down.

«  I... Oh my god...» She hardly swallowed. «  I have Baekhyun number ! » She yelled, raising her fist in the air.

Your excitement immediately cold down. What ?

Vicky clapped her hands. You felt your heart tightened. You thought what happened yesterday. How your slim chance to attempt something were destroyed thanks to Kai. And how, now, it was really dead and gone.

«  Awesome ! How did you get it ? »

You didn't even faked a smile. You didn't even pretend to be happy for her.

«  We just exchanged number after after our science class. » She giggled, fixing her hair.

You looked away. That was just his phone number. That didn't mean he liked her. That didn't mean they were dating. That didn't mean anything.

«  So you finally talked to him ? Good ! Are you going to send him a text ? » Vicky asked.

Mina pouted.

«  I don't know. »

Don't.

«  Don't ! Wait for him to text you ! He's the boy, he's the one who should make the first step. » Vicky wisely advised her.

«  I don't know... And you ? What do you think about it ? » Mina asked you with excitement.

You jumped. You were always to one who pushed her to do crazy things. But that wasn't going to happen this time. Please don't ask me that.

Seeing your unfriendly look, Mina turned to Vicky.

«  What is up with her ? »

«  Oh ! She's got her periods. She's not feeling well. » Vicky shurgged. «  Maybe Baekhyun will ask you.... »

You couldn't take this anymore and stood up.

«  I'm going to the bathroom. » You explained with a monotonous tone.

You definetely couldn't bare it anymore.

You put some cold water on your face to calm down. Get yourself together, Mina was your friend. Weren't you suppose to be happy for her ? You bit your lips, you were such a bad friend and you knew it. You looked at your reflection on the mirror. No wonder why she easily get his number. She was way prettier than you would ever be. You fixed your hair and sighed. No need to torture yourself, Baekhyun couldn't be interested in you. That was sad but that was life. You made a vow to stop thinking about it. There were no need to pollute your head with negatives thoughts. It was a good thing for Mina, so you had to be there for her.

You left the bathroom and where on your way to join your two bestfriends. You tried to held your head high and forget about Baekhyun. No bad thoughts. No bad thoughts. You were so concentrated to not let anything disturb you, that you almost didn't hear that poor Chanyeol calling you from the other side of the hallway.

«  Wait ! I have something for you ! » He shouted.

You turned back and saw him waving a you shyly with a bag. You totally forgot about his existence because of all the Kai, Mina and Baekhyun dramas. You made a small smile, happy to see someone who wasn't a part of it.

«  Hi ! » You greeted him with a smile.

«  Hey ! » He replied with his low voice.

«  You have something for me ? » You asked, raising an eyebrow.

Chanyeol laughed and nodded.

«  Yes ! Here ! It's for you. »

He took out the bag he was hiding on behind his back and gave it to you. You took it, not really knowing what you should expect. What was that ? Seeing your confused look, Chanyeol let out a laugh.

«  I realised my behave of yesterday was inappropriate and I'm sorry. I didn't mean to scare you or anything, you know ? I'm just awkward sometimes and mainly when it comes to food. I ate all your cookies and maybe it was a snack you wanted to keep for later.I don't know. So... I just buy you another bag of cookies to apologize. I'm sorry I haven't found the same brand so... » He explained with a really low voice, not daring to look at you.

You listened to him silently, just looking blankly to the bag. Was he serious ?

« … Yours were better of course ! But I felt bad. I'm not all the time like that, you know ? I was just really really hungry !.... »

That was the kindliest and yet the most awkward thing someone ever did for you. It didn't mean anything, it was just a bag of cookies, but you couldn't help but smile. Chanyeol kept talking but you didn't really focused on what he was saying anymore. You were just staring at the bag.

«  … And when I'm hungry my stomach starts to make really weird noise. And since we where in a library, you would have heard it for sure.... »

You were nodding, not even aware of what he was saying. You were so surprised and touched that you didn't know what to do. Until now, you have had a bad day. But, somehow, that bag of cookies was saving everything.

You raised your head and your eyes met. When Chanyeol saw your smile, his grew bigger.

« … I hope it's not a big deal if it doesn't... »

« Deal ».... « Deal »...Oh yes ! The deal ! You almost forgot about that too. Even if you were really mad at Kai, you still had to do it. If you wanted it to end quicker, then you didn't had to loose your time.

Then you realised you had the perfect opportunity to step your game up. You looked a bit more intensely to Chanyeol who was still apologizing, trying to find something to do.

« … If you don't want it, I understand... »

Suddenly, an idea popped up in your mind. You spontaneously opened your arms and hugged him, interrupting him with his monologue.

That was risky, he could have rejected you and made you feel stupid for the rest of your life. But fortunately, it didn't happen. Chanyeol immediately stopped talking, remaining speechless and you mentally laughed. He let you hug him, too surprise to actually understand what was happening. You could easily imagine the shocked expression he was doing. He was so stiff, not knowing how to react or what to do. Should he grab you too ? Should he step away ? He was totally clueless !

You hugged him tighter, making that poor Chanyeol even more uncomfortable. You could feel his heartbeat accelerated.

You knew it was a bit overreacting for a bag of cookies. Hugging someone in the middle of the hallway during lunch break wasn't very subtle either. But who cared ? You wanted to be more direct, there you were !

«  Y...yah...! » Chanyeol stuttered.

You bit your lips to avoid laughing too much. Everything was going as expected even if you didn't really know what you were doing. You just knew that you had to disturb him, to mess up with his head if you wanted him to fall for you.

«  It's just a bag of cookies you...you... kn..know....  »

You ignored him. That's was too funny to stop now.

Chanyeol was actually really tall, thing that you never realised before. You felt like a tiny thing in « his arms »or so and his low voice made you thought you were hugging someone else. It may would have been pleasant and nice if Chanyeol reaction wasn't so clumsy and weird. He just awkwardly patting on your back with a weird and nervous laugh. Poor Chanyeol, you don't get what is happening, do you ?

You decided to finally let him free after a while and stepped away. Chanyeol face was a bit red and he was obviously embarrassed. You bet he never hugged a girl before.

«  You smell good Chanyeol~... » You whispered with a soft voice, making his light brown eyes widened. «  Thanks for the cookies. I'm sure they will be de~li~cious ! »

You added a playful eye-contact to finish him off, and then, you left him here, in the middle of the hallway, all alone and totally knocked out.
