Character background:
 She worked at her father’s studio where they made hand made wood furniture. Ava was still in high school when she auditioned for YG so school was what she focused on during the day. Or tried to. Even though she had been in South Korea for a couple of years she still couldn’t get used to the 8+ hours of school she would have to attend during the week. She was an okay student since she tried her best to focus . She did great in her English and History classes but the rest were ok. After she would get home from school she would either help out in the shop and work on some wood furniture or go to a dance class. During the weekends was when her life was solely dedicated to rap. She would sneak into wherever there was a freestyle contest or a show and just take in as much as she could.

TRAITS

Personality:
  Ava style is a mixture of urban chick and girly. She can be both intimidating and sweet. She seems cold at first since it takes a while for her to open up to you but once she has, she is friendly. Ava is definitely a rebel, always has been. She got her first tattoo of a jaguar  when she was 17 with her sister’s consent. Her parent’s almost killed her since she got it on her arm where everyone can see. Another example is when Ava got a dragon on her upper back when she was a trainee, going against the wishes of the company. They eventually found out and almost kicked her out.
If she feels like something she is doing or seeing is wrong, she will call that out and a lot of the time the company doesn’t like it. Ava finds it very hard to admit she is wrong or to take orders. She has a dark, weird, awkward American sense of humor and doesn't hide it. Since her humor is very American sometimes she comes of as unlady like which bothers her IMMENSELY. Ava is very bothered by the fact that she thinks she isn't womanly or pretty enough. Ava thinks she is too blunt and boyish compared to other girls and thinks that she turns off boys from approaching her. She feels like she isn't thin enough to be considered beautiful although she refuses to lose weight since she feels like she doesn't need to.
Likes: She loves to get manicures and pedicures. She legit has over 20 bottles of nail polish in her dorm for whenever she feels like changing her nail color.
Ava is a history nerd. Most of the books she reads have to deal with the history of other cultures.
She likes to work on wood carvings and making wood animals. Her favorite is a big wild cat she made.
Whenever she can, she goes to her dad’s wood shop and cut out cute little animals for the members to wear as a charm on a necklace.

Habits: One of Ava's habits is applying hand cream about 10 times a day. Even though other's have said she doesn't have rough hands she can't help but apply cream.
Whenever someone sneezes she says “Bless you” even if it’s someone walking down the street who she doesn’t know.
Whenever she see's a member concentrating on something, whenever they walk by her she nonchalantly pushes them so they can lose their balance. She is definitely the troll of the group.
Cursing in English whenever she messes up or is annoyed.
Talking back when she really shouldn’t, she is making baby steps toward keeping shut, though.
One of her worst habits is getting riled whenever someone dismisses what she says, meaning they just don’t take her seriously.

 She got a tattoo when she turned 18 of a black dragon on her upper back. She managed to hide it for a couple of weeks until they had to go to a fitting and the stylists saw. She was this close to being kicked out.
Ava likes to work with wood whenever she needs time to herself.
She isn’t a frequent smoker, only smoking whenever she needs five minutes of peace.
She has absolutely no aegyo. She hates whenever people force her to do it because she ends up making a fool of herself.

RELATIONSHIPS

Family background:
Ava’s family is of working class, her dad is the owner of a woodshop that makes handmade furniture. She has an older sister.
Ava's parent's got married at a fairly young age which is where her approval of marrying young comes from. Her dad, Park Dong Sun met Ava's mother, Dulce, the year he came to American on vacation. They got married almost 2 years later and started a family. When Ava was 12 and her sister was 14, the family left for South Korea since her dad decided to open up the furniture store in Gwangju.
The fact that Ava’s dad married a foreigner, especially a woman of color caused a lot of pointing and whispering from others whenever they would walk down the street.


Family members
Father: Park Dong Sun. He is 44 years old, He is the owner of the Park Handmade Wood Furniture store. Ava and her relationship with her father has had it’s ups and downs since she was a teenager. Ava was the wild child and caused a lot of trouble for her parent’s. The worst fight she ever had with her father was when he came and dragged her out of a club where they hosted rap battles when she was 16. They didn’t talk to each other for 2 weeks. Dong Sun is a hard person, meaning he doesn’t show weakness often, tears won’t work on him, if he caused you to cry or hurt your feelings it almost always has no affect on him. The biggest problem Ava has with her father is that she feels like he is ist, he thinks that women should just be in the house and only leave to go to work.
Mother: Carmen Martinez/42 years old/ She assists Song Sun at the shop.. Her relationship with Ava is much stronger than the one Ava has with her father. Carmen protects Ava as much as she can. Carmen is the only person who seems to be able to make Dong Sun see their point of view instead of just his. The relationship that Carmen has with her husband has had it’s ups and downs as well.

Older Sister: Park Lex/ 22 years old/ is attending college in America. The relationship that Lex has with her younger sister is very strong. Ava completely looks up to her sister. When Ava was younger she didn’t really stood up for herself until she saw her sister stand up to her dad. Ava hopes to one day be as strong as Lex.



Friends:
Hyoyeon/22/SNSD; Hyoyeon is the person who Ava looks up to in the music industry since Hyoyeon reminds Ava of her older sister. Ava met Hyoyeon when she was a trainee. She had gone to XXX Nail Shop which Hyoyeon frequently goes to and saw Hyoyeon there. Ava mustered the courage to go talk to her and they hit it off.

Minzy/18/2ne1; Minzy and Ava get along very well since they are very close in age. Both enjoy dancing although Ava usually takes lessons from Minzy. She helped Ava a lot with her singing lessons.

Seungri/ 21/ Big Bang: Seungri is the person who Ava is closest to in Big Bang. Ava likes the fact that Seungri is confidant and very out there.

 How did you meet? : Ava met Yongguk when he was in Soul Connection. She went to one of their events and met him backstage when Ava had just been accepted as a trainee. Yongguk had just been accepted as well so they bonded over that. Ava goes to Yongguk whenever she needs to write a rap for herself in Korean since she feels like she gets inspired and writes her best raps whenever she is around him. Ava promised Yong Huk that she would accompany him the next time he decides to get another tattoo. She is trying to convince him to getting a big tattoo.

How did you meet? : Ava met Seungri when she was practicing with some other dancers for a music show Big Bang was going to be performing in. She was chosen as Seungri’s dancing partner.

TRAINEE

 How did you get in? : Ava had gotten the chance to freestyle at a rap battle event and one of YG’s talent scouts was in the audience and had her go to audition.

 Trainee life: Ava’s trainee life was the hardest thing she felt she had to go through. It was constant hard work. Ava had the most trouble with her singing lessons. It took a while for her voice to mature but with hard work her voice became one of the things she is most proud of. Ava had to have more practice with rapping in Korean since she could rap better in English than Korean. She was the trainee who was scolded the most and because of this she was probably the trainee who got to go to Papa Yg's office the most. She is paranoid of being called into his office again because she thinks she'll be scolded again.
