WM Entertainment to Debut New Group

WM Entertainment has just released news on the preparation of a new girl group. After the success of B1A4, who has won several awards such as the Super Rookies for 2012 award in 2011 at the Wave K's Super Rookies Awards and then the Best Male Newcomer award in 2012 at the Gaon Chart Awards, WM Entertainment have decided it is time to debut a new group.

However, the group will be unlike any other seen in the KPOP industry. WM Entertainment has announced that it is more like a competition and that one girl from the group will have the chance to pursue a solo career if they win. It has been revealed that the new girl group will consist of five girls who all want to a chance to be a solo artist – the new rookie group will be put through a tough schedule for the next two years to win their fans over and show off their individual charms.

Who wins is up to the fans to decide. Fans will have the chance to vote once a day on their official website for their favourite member. The voting process will be opened to all Korean and International fans and will be monitored carefully to prevent fans from cheating.

Isn’t this like a breach of trainee rights or something? What happens to the losers? Does the group just disband once it is over?

I’m intrigued. It’s different and unusual. I know there are competitions and such but to actually debut them as a group and be in competition at the same time makes me curious. Will the girls get along though?

7. Please try not to use over-used ulzzangs. I really do not want to see Song Ah Ri, Jung Roo, Baek Su Min etc. Jin Jae Young is taken.
