She feels a tiny bit like a creep, but this is one of the many moments with him that she relishes. A calm before the storm moment, a moment where he’s vulnerable, where there’s no pretence, a moment of privacy that the world cannot penetrate. A moment where there is beauty in the imperfection. It is a moment where time stops and it is just the two of them.
“You know there’s a saying,” he says with his raspy morning voice.
“What is that?”
He slowly opens his beautiful brown eyes, “It last longer if you take a picture.”
A small laugh escapes her lips.
He reaches over and traces his fingertips along her jawline, slowly, and finally resting on her lips, “Why do you this every morning?”
She reaches up with the hand that is not holding up her head, pulls his hand from her lips, and entwines her fingers with his, “Because – Kim Jong Dae – it feels like a miracle that I get to love you.”
She pulls him closer to her and gave him a kiss that he will hopefully remembers and think about for the rest of today.
