BELLA
Description
Keep your friends close, but keep your enemies closer. This is an action-filled gang romance.
Foreword
If you knew you were going to die one week from now, would you have holed yourself up in your room, studying for the final that’s two weeks away? Would you have feigned ill to get out of Family Night? And would you have ignored your girlfriend, the one you knew you were going to marry, to buy that new videogame? You haven’t even opened it yet.
“NO! THE ANSWER IS NO!” he screams. The pain slowly consumes him; the regret is an everlasting torture. If only he had known, there would be no use for these hypotheticals.
He tries closing his eyes, tries protecting himself from her terrified eyes, her anguished cries of his name. Her sorrow stabs at his heart over and over again.
He stretches his hand towards her face, ready to caress her face for the last time.
“Don’t cry,” he wants to say, but he wants to cry himself. He is afraid.
His hand drops before it can touch her.
Everything turns black and he is gone---but not before he sees that stray tear run down her face, a tear he no longer can wipe away. Not before he hears her voice quiver, “Don’t leave me, don’t leave me Jun Su.”
