Baekhyun didn’t seem too alarmed at his quick appearance.   “We need you to get us out onto the rooftop. Think you can teleport us?” Baekhyun spoke so fast that Naeun could barely catch what he was saying.   Kai smirked, linking arms with Baekhyun to form a chain. “Duh, that’s why I’m here.”   He snapped his fingers, and in a flash, they disappeared from the room. Not even a millisecond later, they found themselves on the roof of their house.   “Good luck.” Kai squeezed Baekhyun’s arm reassuringly, his face softening when his eyes landed on Naeun. Quickly, he pressed a kiss to the top of her hand, smiling kindly before vanishing again.   “You’re a sweet girl, Song Naeun.”   Naeun blinked, but then smiled softly again. *Jongin oppa… I wonder if I could see the members one last time before I go…* She hoped for it, but she didn’t count on it.   Baekhyun chuckled quietly, trying to get some humor in to lighten the mood, “Falling for Kai now, are we?”   “Of course not!” Naeun winced as her head started to spin. Baekhyun anxiously gazed at her. “I’m… alright.” She said in a wheezy voice. It hurt to do anything right now.   Various bangs, booms, and crashes made Naeun flinch in Baekhyun’s arms. Baekhyun muttered something under his breath and gazed into Naeun’s eyes, “Brace yourself.”   In one swift jump, Baekhyun was in the sky. His pearl white wings furiously flapped, trying to get as far away from the commotion as possible. Naeun gawped in awe as a tickling sensation filled her body. She was flying. She was soaring.   Meanwhile, the fight between an army of fighter angels and EXO was erupting. Action was everywhere.   “Come with us quietly, and we’ll make sure that this doesn’t get reported to the head angels. You all won’t be punished.” One of the angels, which seemed like the leader, bargained.   Kris was about to vent his anger out on them, but Suho grabbed his arm, shaking his head. Kris shrunk back and Suho calmly smiled at them.   “It doesn’t really matter if we get punished and go back with you, because we will keep Naeun alive, even if we get de-ranked by the head angels.” Suho’s blinding smile didn’t reach his eyes at all. In fact, his eyes were dark and cold.   “So bring it.”   If possible, the fight became even more heated and aggressive. The EXO boys had a reason to fight now, and they were even more motivated to help protect a fellow friend’s happiness.   Suho conjured up a sea in just a matter of seconds and hurled it at a couple of fighters, drowning them. Chen extended his palm, sending crackling high-voltage beams of electricity down into the water, combining the forces to create a type of water that shocks you if touched.   When you became an angel, it was impossible to die, under any infliction of pain, so the most the boys could do was knock their enemies unconscious.   Kai grinned as six enemies surrounded him. “Do you really think you can catch me?” He snapped his fingers and he disappeared.   “What the—it’s the teleporter angel!” One of them shouted furiously. Another tried attacking thin air with his spear. At the last moment, Kai reappeared above him with a flying kick. The angel fell, deeply unconscious.   Kai smiled gorgeously, “Too late.”   Lay was off to the side, in the midst of healing a bad burn on Tao’s wrists. Lay, who was too focused on Tao, didn’t realize that a soldier was close to them, concentrating on attacking him.   Just before he could aim for him using his bow and arrow, a voice called, “LOOK OUT!”   Lay and Tao straightened up immediately, as Xiumin frantically waved his hand, creating a barrier of ice around the two. He let out a sigh of relief when the arrow weakly attempted to chip a portion of the ice, but fell down due to the strength of it.   “Damn!” The angel shouted as he tried to make an escape for it. Xiumin appeared like magic in front of him. He wagged his finger with a pout, “Ah-ah-ah. You can’t escape now.”   The angel yelped as Xiumin laughed, creating a graceful movement with his hand and forcefully pushing the air in front of him. Sharp daggers of ice formed in his hands and pierced the man and his wings. He let out a loud cry of pain.   Before he could fall to the ground, Tao leaped up, his ash-black wings gleaming mysteriously, and he waved his hand, making time freeze.   “Heh.” Tao grinned and leapt in front of the warrior, his foot perfectly pointed at his throat in a kung-fu kick. He waved his hand again, and his foot slammed into the warrior’s neck as gravity pulled him down.   When he was no longer moving, Tao edgily cracked his knuckles, glaring at him, “Think twice before you mess with Huang Zitao.”   In a corner, D.O and Sehun were back to back as they took on around a dozen enemies. D.O stomped his foot on the ground, and it scarily startled to crack and split. Some warriors fell into the cracks. D.O readily made a closing motion with his arms, sealing the cracks shut.   Sehun quickly formed a tornado with his hands as the harsh wind mercilessly twirled the remaining angels into it. In a sharp movement, the tornado hurled into a couple trees, causing the angels to slam into them and quickly become unconscious.   “Yes!” Sehun grinned and hi-fived D.O, but the happiness didn’t last for long.   “Whoa!” He suddenly yelped as he ducked just in time to see a blade sailing for his head.   Two dozen enemies were cornering the two, all with gleaming blades and mystical powers. D.O and Sehun both backed up until they hit each other in the back.   “Now what, hyung?” Sehun bit his lip.   “Fight.” D.O nodded. “For Naeun.”   At once, Sehun’s face turned absolutely expressionless. “For Naeun.”   About five tornadoes and seven earthquakes later, the boys found themselves at a loss. No matter how many angels they fought, new ones just appeared like magic.   Both Sehun and D.O were panting by now. An enemy was about to attack them when two huge trees were uprooted and crashed over the remaining warriors.   A golden-haired boy came flying over to them with his lightly tinted pink wings, “Are you guys okay?!”   “Hyung!” Sehun beamed as D.O grinned, “You saved us back there.”   Luhan happily smiled, “Of course, but this is no time to let down our guard. We have to finish this.” He turned around to re-join the battle.   D.O and Sehun exchanged looks and nodded once before scurrying off.   Chanyeol conjured up orbs of gleaming flames and trapped a few enemies in a circle of fire. A fighter aimed for him behind his back with a couple sharp spears that could kill any human in an instant.   The angel yelled as he threw the spears with all his might. Before Chanyeol could turn around, Kris speedily flew in with his silver wings and effortlessly grabbed each spear before they could hurt him.   Smirking coolly, Kris did a backflip and easily set his feet on the ground, twirling the spears through his fingers.   “Geez, you really need to look after yourself.” The leader shook his head, grinning at the equally tall boy.   Chanyeol let out a lopsided grin, sizing up their enemies that surrounded them. “On the count of three?”   Kris curtly nodded once.   “1… 2… 3…!” The two both stood back to back and unleashed their true power. An outline of a large phoenix on fire spread out behind Chanyeol, while a dragon appeared behind Kris.       At the same time, the two figures combined powers to destroy the enemies.   *We will win. We will fight. We will perservere.*   ---------------------------   “It’s the wielder of light!” One fighter shouted as Baekhyun cussed under his breath and flew faster, darting through the trees and bushes.   “B-Baekhyun… I don’t f-feel too g-good…” Naeun started to get nauseous. Everything—the trees, the bushes, the plants—were all blurs of various shades of green now. She was feeling weaker by the second.   Baekhyun anxiously glanced down and attempted to soothe her, “Just close your eyes. Bury your face in my shirt if you have to. Whatever you do, try not to focus on the scenery.” Naeun avoided his eyes, but he softly tilted her chin up to make her met gazes with him. “Hey. Look at me.
